Property tax for seniors and retirees with no income and no money

Many seniors and retirees of the babyboomer generation are still staying in landed or private properties, some in bigger HDB flats bought at a time when property prices were cheaper than a COE.  Today they are the lucky few that could stay in such homes that our young professionals could only salivate and be contented with a 4 room flat. The value of their properties could be in the tens of millions or at least nearly a million in bigger HDB flats. The downside, many would have retired many years or moons ago, and has no more income albeit a little savings to pass their twilight years.

A letter from Inland Revenue, for property tax could be shocking to these no money but asset rich oldies. Fortunately, I might be wrong, heard that the property tax of some private or landed properties could be lesser than for not landed private properties or bigger HDB flats.

Anyway, a letter from Inland Revenue could send fears to these asset rich oldies. Where to find the money to pay the taxes? Govt subsidies, Assurance Package, got enough left after food and PUB bills, to pay property taxes? Unless they downgrade, many would be caught in a bind.

How many of you out there are caught in such a situation, looks very good, very rich, which is true, but no cash or very little cash to pay for other necessities and little luxury and comfort, and unable to pay property tax!

F18 down - More Foxy lies to cover the first lie

A second Super Hornet found itself targeted by a missile from the Gettysburg as it was preparing to land aboard the Truman, a source told Fox News on Tuesday. The SM-2 missile came within 30 meters of the F/A-18, which had to take evasive maneuvers, according to Fox.

“The cruiser almost shot down two friendly jets,” the source was quoted as saying.

The US Navy confirmed that the Gettysburg had fired a second SM-2 missile and said it was investigating whether that missile had targeted the second jet.  RT

After the first lie that an F18 fighter jet was shot down by friendly fire, by missile from their own escort ship, and the lie being exposed when Houthis claimed they shot it down, it is damage control time. How to debunk the Houthis' claim, a rag tag resistance force knocking down a so called world best aircraft? This is like a boy using a catapult to shoot down a plane in the air. It was so embarrassing.

The American propaganda machine got into full swing to churn out more lies to cover the original lie. And who is the best candidate to push out such a lie? Fox News of course. When the truth is exposed, it got nothing to do with the American officials, it was Foxy to be blamed.

Can anyone imagine that after shooting down their own aircraft, that the missile controllers in Gettysburg still be allowed to fire another shot without careful scrutiny, to continue to fire as usual, and almost shoot down another F18? Very likely Gettysburg would be locked down, removed from the area for a thorough investigation before it shoots down more own aircraft. The whole system would be combed, the personnel operating the system would be investigated and vetted to check if they are enemies within.

The American liars have either run out of excuses and lies or going bonkers. And it was reported that Harry Truman the aircraft carrier was evacuated from the area instead. The fear of Harry Truman being hit and sunk is more real than anything else. If the Americans have not sensed real risk, high risk, they would happily go on bombing the Houthis. They are untouchable with their 100% effective defence system, until the Houthis shot down the F18. Their invincibility myth punctured. Better run for their lives.

Good job, Houthis! F for the American spin doctors.

PS. Merry Christmas to everyone.

Virgo's advice to Trump on Manufacturing in the USA

 Good morning All

So easy ah?

Want to start Manufacturing Industries think magic wands ah?

Straightaway start hummings!

Took years for the PRCs to have sweat shops low value industries to high value ones

Needed well planned logistics and materials sourchings.

If possible have own and good transportaion and infrastructures to have steady supplies.

Next trained and hard working masses.

Americunts alreday too much sloths and good lifes had alreday lost their abilities to work.

Had enjoyed their luxurious lifes on the blood, sweat and tears of the Coloured Peoples.

Also on their past Loots and Plunders.

Now must suffer for their EVIL sins and deeds.

Time to take turns like China when they starved and plundered by the White Barbarians.

Karmas indeed!

Punggol's evolving transport crisis by adding more buses

If I am not mistaken, they are trying to solve Punggol's evolving transport crisis by adding more buses to serve Punggol residents commuting to the Central Business District/Raffles Place/Tanjong Pagar. Punggol residents have no direct MRT service to the Central Business District for decades, having to switch trains at Dhoby Ghaut, facing huge crowds and overcrowded trains during peak hours. Punggol roads are all very narrow, with traffic jams occurring since the mid-2010s in specific locations during morning peak hours.

This is already a problem in the making for some years, with the North-East line filled to the seams every morning, with commuters further down the line, in Sengkang, Buangkok, Hougang and Kovan stations finding difficulty in boarding trains during morning peak hours. With the Punggol Coast residential area filling up fast, the Punggol Digital District construction progressing and with the Singapore Insitute of Technology campus now functioning, the problem is now more acute than ever.

What will all these mean for residents of Punggol going forward? If the MRT cannot cope with the increasing population, workers and student movements, and the narrow roads cannot cope with the increasing traffic, most likely some will have to look for alternatives, like buying cars. And the Government will be laughing all the way to the bank as more COEs will be needed. Solving the escalating problem with more buses that contradicts the earlier option of cutting bus services fast and furious when the MRT first started operation seems a move too early and too fast.

The Transport portfolio is turning out to be the 'Graveyard of Ministers' judging from the current Transport Minister's candid but telling comments.
