Who are these people? Where are they from? Not Singapore, not Korea, not Hong Kong, not Japan, not China, not Vietnam.

They are original natives of Greenland, the Eskimos.

BRICS - When all Asean countries join BRICS except Singapore and the Philippines

  BRICS expansion is another unstoppable development in 2024 and would gain speed in 2025. The Americans can try all their means, by hook, by crook, by coercion, to stop countries from joining BRICS. Some would succumb to American pressure and back out, or hold on to their position, but it would not be long before reality hits them. It is survival and national interest at stake.

The collapse of European states is there for all to see. The Ukraine War and all the sanctions and blowing up of the Nord Stream pipeline are now taking full effects. The European countries cannot hold on anymore. This is a very bad winter, a very bad Christmas for many of them, some may die without power to keep warm. Thanks to the clowns in Washington. Italy is the first to turn belly up, to raise the white flag. Italy is telling the Americans that they have to join BRICS. Spain is quietly working and trading with China to grow its economy. Several east European states like Hungary, Serbia and a few more are distancing themselves from being dragged into a war they cannot win, only to destroy their economies. America's biggest European colony, Germany, is in defiance, wanting to reopen the Nord Stream pipeline and risking the wrath of the evil American Empire.

The rest of the world, especially the Global South, is watching with eyes wide open and congratulating themselves for not being dragged into the destructive wars started by the Americans and the AngloSaxon tribes. They are quietly enjoying their peace, continuing with their lives as per normal, no one got killed, no need to be coerced to throw money at the circus in Ukraine and to feed clown Zelensky and his mad men.

3 Asean states will be in BRICS already in BRICS with Indonesia becoming a full member, despite the heavy pressure laid on them by the Americans. This is the only beginning and the rest will follow through the gate as full members. When they have all to gain and nothing to lose, who would want to be left out? In no time, all the Asean states will be in BRICS. And BRICS know how important it is to open the gate wider and faster. Very likely all the Asean states would be in BRICS by end of 2025, albeit those under the control of the Americans, like the Philippines and....

Singapore has volunteered not to join BRICS for its own reason of principles. Good luck to Singapore for being an eager beaver to sanction Russia. There is a price for taking sides with the evil American Empire.

Kampong life, of days gone by

 I live in a kampong along Tampines Road, Defu area, before its redevelopment in the 1970s. At night we never have to lock our doors, never ever. Of course, everyone was poor, there were no outsiders daring to venture into that area at night to steal. The dogs will chase and tear them apart. Dogs were of course easily taken care of later on by innovative thieves, those whose intention was to break in and steal. But then, we are talking about an era of no 'foreign talents' in Singapore. Now everyone is said to be rich, except me, LOL. Our HDB are worth a fortune, that is before it reaches 99 years, and foreigners are envy of Singaporeans.

Kampong living means lots of interaction between households, people and children especially. Those days were more or less more carefree without the do or die in our education system and parents have little care about putting children in a good school. Every school was alike, except a few of the elite schools that the elites send their kids to.

Sure, people do not have much to yearn for like the latest handphones, iPad, computers, cars, credit cards, travelling and gorging in those days. Food became not as a necessity but a splurge. With that came all the sickness associated with overeating, when fast food came fast and furious.

Of course everyone wants the best of everything, but there is always a price to be paid for progress or be left behind just being contented with the status quo. Now, the whole world is fighting climate change, with all the plastics generated, the trees cut down, the pollution generated by Internal Combustion Engines and factories producing more and more goods for consumption. What does the future hold with all these problems arising today? Not for most of us to see obviously.

Expansion of the evil American Empire. Americans are peace loving people?

Trump knows all his promises during his campaign is not going to work or even workable. Tariffs will cause inflation in the USA to spike for sure, even if it is going to discourage imports from China, Mexico among others, leading to USA consumers having to go for expensive substitutes made in the USA or EU. Not that the USA is now making anything worthwhile to speak of. Deportation of millions of immigrants is going to kill the agricultural sector, cripple the food and beverage sector and decimate the retail sector, all of which rely on cheap immigrant workers. If Trump fail to deliver on his promises, he is in trouble

But Trump is a bullshitter, conman, multiple failure businessman, and he will probably be able to yet wriggle his way out. Did Mexico pay for the wall? Did he even managed to rain the swamp? How much did he win in the trade war so far? All duly forgotten by his voters in his first term, which Trump knew is what will happen this time around too.

That is why he is raising irrelevant issues to musk his imminent failure and incompetence, even before he takes office with all kinds of distractions. Just like his anti-China stance during his first term which led to an exodus of Chinese engineers, scientists and academics, which really pleased his support base but is creating big issues for the USA economy.

On a global basis, such a stance as trying to seize the Panama Canal, Mexico, Greenland and Canada will create much anxiety for those countries and others and is to distract them from the real issues inside the USA itself.

Trump is the kind of person with a narcissistic character that needs attention. And his threat of invasion of other sovereign countries is giving him all the attention that he loves.

How is Trump going to run his enlarged empire if it does happen, after seizing Greenland, Canada, Panama and Mexico, when right now he is unable to solve even basic domestic issues like homelessness, drug addiction, gun control issue and the debt issue. Mexico alone has an axe to grind with the USA, having lost much of its territory already to the USA in the past. Mexican Gringos are not as meek and cowardly as the USA thinks, and it is going back to the days of Mexican/Yankee rivalry if Trump's threat materialized.

Trump is behaving strangely, mentally unsound?

 Now Trumps wants to rename the 'Gulf of Mexico' to 'Gulf of America".

Perhaps it is also time to start renaming him from 'Donald Trump' to 'Dotard Trump', a degrading insult given by Kim Jong Un. 'Dotard' means 'a state or period of senile decay marked by decline of mental poise'.

Trump is behaving strangely, mentally unsound and a danger to the world. Biden was thought to be mentally sick and unfit to lead, but now it seems Trump is even worse. From the frying pan into the fire, it seems.
