馬英九 Ma Ying-jeou bold move in China...paying respect to the Yellow Emperor

This 1 hour 12 min clip on the Qing Ming Festival in China when the descendants pay respect to the Yellow Emperor, 黄帝, in a palatial tomb in Yan'an, Shaanxi. Ma Ying-Jeou led a delegation of Taiwanese, including the youth of Taiwan, to join the ceremony. In his speech after the ceremony he made reference to the long tradition, culture and legacy of the Yellow Emperor, and his admiration and pride in this long heritage as descendants of the Yellow Emperor. This return to the roots, to reconnect with the past by Ma and his youth delegation is a bold statement on the close ties between the people on both sides of the Straits of Taiwan. He wished that there will be peace, cooperation between the two people as a family and working out a win win solution for all.

Ma is by far the most senior Taiwan leaders that have spoken out positively on the two people as members of a big family dating all the way to the Yellow Emperor. He also proudly commended on the early leaders of Taiwan that visited and paid respect to the Yellow Emperor 70 years ago to declare that Taiwan was finally free from 50 years of Japanese Occupation to resume their life as descendants of the Yellow Emperor.

Before this, Ma had visited several big Chinese corporations as well as visiting the home of Sun Yat-Sen, the founding father of the Republic of China and the KMT.

This bold step taken by Ma Ying-Jeou could set the trend and direction for more Taiwanese leaders to stand up to acknowledge their roots tracing to the Yellow Emperor, and pave the way for an eventual reunification with the motherland.

Ma's 10 days in China will culminate in a second meeting with Xi Jinping and all hopes and expectations are there for a breakthrough in cross strait relations. There is no need to wait for the elected govt to take a lead in the reunification of the two people. The final decision must be decided by the people on both sides of the Straits.

China exposes the ageing and inferior American missile technology - The Minuteman is a dinosaur

11 min clip on China's advanced and superior missile technology.

After the departure of Qian Xuesen from the USA in the 1950s, American missile technology hit a road block and unable to progress further till today. This speaks for the failure of NASA to return to the moon, if they ever did, when they could not even send their astronauts to the ISS.

The Minuteman was developed in the 1960s using research material left behind by Qian Xuesen. It is still the main missile force of the Americans, using 1960s technology. And without any new technology to replace the ageing fleet, the whole fleet of Minuteman would have to be scrapped when their life expired. The Americans would then left with no ICBM to boot or to brag about.

China on the other hand has ran ahead by leaps and bounds with DF16, DF17, DF21, DF26, and DF41, all up to date technology, including hypersonic missiles. Even the so called best cruise missiles of the Americans like Harpoons and the Tomahawks were based on 1970s technology.

Without the input and contributions of Chinese scientists and experts, the American missile technology has gone the way of the dodo bird. There is no way for the Americans to continue to bluff and lie to the world about its missile fleet and technology. In this field, China has not only triumphed over the Americans, but left them in the rear mirror and disappearing to oblivion. The Minuteman would soon become scrap metals.

The American submarine launched Poseidon missiles were also of 1970 and 1980 vintage. They were the most advanced system then, but not now. China's missiles are hypersonic and indefensible, their capabilities boosted by the latest AI technology, 21st Century technology. Of course American 1960 and 1970 technology were very advanced, more advanced than their technology today. They could go to and return from the moon with 1960 and 1970 technology but not with today's technology. You can figure out how is this possible. But the Americans are not returning to embrace their aged 1960 and 1970 technology that worked and stupidly trying to use their modern technology that would not work. Are the Americans nuts? Or they were lying all the time?

Washington clowns want to decouple but the corporate honchos are marching to China

All that talk about decoupling or derisking does not worry China too much. China had been preparing for this day decades ago. That is why China is so dominant in so many areas, that otherwise the USA and the West can use to bring China to its knees. All attempts to hinder China and bring it down will all fail miserably. There is no stopping China.

Kevin, on 'Inside China Business' today talks about China dominating even the drugs production sector. USA drug makers have to rely on Chinese raw materials to manufacture their expensive drugs. India too, being a top drugmaker globally, is dependent on China for such raw materials for generic drugs. I would say it is the same with many other Indian products like iPhones and computers.

China can retaliate against the USA sanctions on many fronts, not just on rare earths, and when a push comes to a shove, China has all the means to make the USA's move backfiring on all cylinders.

While USA is talking about more sanctions on China, CEOs of industries just met Xi in Beijing. Isn't decoupling or derisking the mantra of the USA and the West? Why are these CEOs still trying, if not to do business in China, what are they going there for? According to Kevin, they want to do more than just setting up factories in China. And we keep hearing that companies are shutting business in China and that China is collapsing. What is the truth?

War crimes and atrocities by Japan and South Korea would not be forgotten

Never forget the part that South Korea played in the Vietnam War. South Korea, at one stage, had more than three hundred thousand South Korean troops in South Vietnam helping the USA, the biggest contributor of troops among all other countries. This has never been talked much about in the MSM.

Vietnam should never forget the part that South Korea played during the Vietnam War. And China and the rest of Asia must never ever forget the atrocities committed by the Japanese during WW2.

Every wonder why Japan and South Korea are willing to be colonies of the USA? Their guilty conscience is biting them, and they know that their victims have not forgiven them, and they have to hide behind the USA, and even strutting their stuff around this part of the world, threatening China and North Korea with Japan even talking about fighting for Taiwan against China.

But, as I said before, China has to watch Japan very closely, It is a desperate country, extremely sneaky and still thinks starting another war will enable Japan to again rise from the ashes as it did after WW2. This time there will not even be Japanese ashes left to rise from, if it disappears into the South China Sea.

China's soft power is real, in bricks and mortars...and cheap and good quality products

When China talks about Soft Power, the world probably took it as a joke. What can Soft Power do in a world controlled by the barrel of a gun. And who had the biggest gun? Gunboat diplomacy is obsolete.

Using Soft Power, China need not go to war or put a gun to the head of anyone. China forged closer relationships with the Global South, helping them in infrastructures like airports, ports, reservoirs, railways and housing needs. Now the Anglo-Saxon whites are not laughing anymore, being slowly chased out of Africa, and China is having the last laugh instead. The BRI was another example of Soft Power, benefiting countries in Central Asia and eliciting jealousy from the USA, India and the West.

While the USA and the West were pre-occupied with starting wars, Russia gate, trade wars, and taking their eyes off high tech industries, they realised too late now that China is moving ahead of them, dominating in fields that were the monopoly of the West. The USA probably thought the time frame of 50 years down the road for China to do so is a long way to go and a comforting thought for them, never expecting China to progress so fast in just the past two decades.

The USA is now fighting a losing battle trying to build up its industrial capacity, mostly at the expense of Europe. The USA can draw companies away from Europe, create chip alliances, sanction Chinese products like EVs, solar panels, cranes and build them itself. But the question is - can the USA build them itself and compete against China? The Global South is a big market that the Chinese are more interested in competing in, and can USA products match the Chinese in price alone? What about USA products competing in the Chinese market? The writing is on the wall that such USA ventures of trying to re-industrialise will retake the cake that they have lost is a wet dream.
