EV war - all factors favouring China

 15 minutes explaining why EVs are not selling in the USA.

China is churning out all the latest technology that are welcomed by the world, 5G, 5.5G, solar panels, satellite connectivity mobile phones, EV batteries and numerous models of the best EVs, two wheel EVs and EVs running with AI sophistication, etc etc.  The biggest contribution by China towards green technology, climate change and a clean and better environment is non other than EVs. And China is not just selling EVs but a whole new concept of a futuristic world of AIs as an integral part of EVs.

EV is new technology that no country can claim to have an advantage until recently. The West may have a slight advantage of an early start, but was half hearted. They are already very well ahead in ICE vehicles and with a whole network and supply chains that were unbeatable. Competing against the West on ICE vehicles that have a century old mature technology and industry is a no go for China. China cannot ever think of catching up.

China chose to go full steam ahead with R&D in EVs, AIs and related industries. This is new frontier and China has nothing to hold back. Now China has succeeded in becoming the best in EV batteries and EVs and leaving behind a dusty trail for the West. And this is just the beginning, with a whole slate of AI technology as part of the new eco system.

The West, especially the USA, has accepted defeat and as good as giving up the race. Tesla is the last contender alive, but would soon be history as well, or at best chasing the Chinese EV manufacturers. Tesla is just about EVs, like Apple is just about mobile phones. The Chinese are bundling all these new technologies and offering them as a package, in an integrated world of AIs. It is not just buying an EV or a mobile phone.

The Americans' advantages in ICE vehicles and industry become their biggest stumbling block. They cannot afford to dismantle the whole ICE vehicle network, support infrastructure and supply chain. What would happen to all the petrol stations and mechanical repair workshops, the spare parts suppliers and the workers and mechanics that were trained and skilled in ICE vehicles?

The ICE manufacturers would all go bust if they are replaced by EVs. EVs is a great disrupter to the whole automobile industry. Unemployment is staring at the American ICE workforce, with millions going to be affected. They will go the way of the steel workers, no longer employable. The ICE manufacturers must be bribing their elected representatives full time, with a lot of money, oops, lobbying, to keep the ICE industry going and keep EVs out of America. Another too big to fail industry?

This is looking like the 5G competition that the Americans have to let go and stick to its old industry and technology. Americans would have to live with 4G technology and ICE vehicles and petrol stations. The rest of the world would warmly embrace EVs with 5.5G technology and AIs embedded in them, and a futuristic world of high tech, driverless EVs using voice call commands zooming across the cities and countries. Who knows when the Americans would abandon their ICE vehicles when they cannot afford to pay for petrol and turn to using horses and bandwagons?

The Americans are sinking in a pool of quicksand of ICE vehicles, without EVs and EV infrastructure and system, and EV talents. And also without high speed train system. How to dismantle an ageing train system across a continent? Even the dismantling of Huawei's 5G network is going to be tedious and costly.

The good point is tourism. The people of the world can visit America to see and experience the technology, infrastructure and operating systems of the 60s and 70s and get fascinated by how advanced the Americans were, then.

A student posing as a High Court lawyer has been arrested in Kenya after winning dozens of cases. The man has reportedly demanded that he be admitted to the bar despite being uncovered as a fraud.

Before his recent arrest, Brian Mwenda “argued 26 cases before High Court Judges, Magistrates, and Court of Appeal Judges,” the Facts East Africa social media page reported on Thursday, adding that he won all 26 cases.

The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) confirmed on Friday that Mwenda assumed the identity of a real lawyer named Brian Mwenda in August 2022, using the real advocate’s details to register himself as a member of the bar. RT

 

Obviously this guy is a real talent that can do the job despite not having a degree. Maybe he should try to find a job in Singapore. There are Singaporeans that would appreciate his talent and would not mind hiring him. Can do the job ok oredy. Who cares if he has a degree or not?

America sees Africa as a shit hole. China sees Africa as an opportunity... to invest and develop

 Citizens of USA, UK and EU are not the only visitors going to China. How big is the population of the USA and EU combined? That is why I say banning them is an exercise in futility.

Africans from all over Africa are now visiting China, some studying in China and even Indian and Middle Eastern students from India and Arab States are there, blogging as well. And that is not taking into account that Africa is still underdeveloped and there is still much work to eradicate poverty. Africa has a total population of more than 1.4 billion, hungry to develop, wanting to move forward and eagerly looking to progress like China. Every cloud has a silver lining and Africa is not going to be denied.

China is using another channel to counter the anti=China propaganda generated by the West and is now offering more University Scholarships to students from Africa and others. These students are not the dumb folks that will swallow all the propaganda trotted out by Western leaders and MSM. And they will be future leaders of Government and Industry. Their experience in China will be a big factor in their thinking after they graduated. And China knows the dividends it will be able to reap by cultivating good relations with such students in time to come. Just like foreign students studying in US and Western Universities in the past. De-coupling or de-risking is benefiting China in the long run.

I am nevertheless flabbergasted at reports by the BBC that China is building the equivalent of a new University almost every week. That may be an exaggeration, but it shows the intention of the Chinese Government and its long-term thinking. The Chinese Government investment strategy is long term - 20 to 30 years, never mind the initial outlay.

Chinese students are now avoiding University education in the USA and the West and looking at the much cheaper University education they can get at a quarter of the cost at home. And the programs and courses are more tailored towards the needs of the Chinese Industial push. Moreover, Chinese Universities are rising in global rankings, but I am sure Chinese Universities can never be the best in surveys, if you look at the way they interpreted the global happiness survey conducted by IPSOS, a French Market Research outfit. It was totally skewed.

I am glad that many are catching up with the fiasco of that happiness survey by IPSOS, and it is no exaggeration to say that this probably happens in every survey by Western entities. Suffice to say, Chinese scientist (other than those outside of China) will never ever be able to get close to a Nobel Prise. Chinese Universities, no matter how good, will never top the ranking list. That is the truth.

The world turns against the white terrorists led by the Americans and Israelis

 How many saw the videos of protests around the world and what did such protests tell us as shown on Channel News America? If you watch carefully, those protests were staged totally in support for the Palestinians, nothing about support for Israel and its actions. That does not include those countries that are now banning protest in support of the Palestinians, like you know who?

Now, what is the motivation for Channel News America trying to brainwash viewers by calling those protest as pertaining to 'Israel Hamas Protest' when Israel is clearly not even shown to be supported anywhere around the world?

When Israel invaded Gaza, it would end up being totally isolated and become a real 'pariah' in the eyes of the world. Oops, in the eyes of the civilised world. The only support they have now comes from the USA and the White clique.

Why is the world at large, other than the Whites, on the side of the Palestinians? Israel is even trying to starve the Palestinians to death by not allowing more aid to flow into Gaza. Anyone with a conscience and a sense of cruelty against fellow humans would be aghast at what the Israelis are doing. The Jews are famous for extracting their pound of flesh regardless of whether the victim dies or not. This is a perfect example.

UN's Emergency Relief Co-ordinator said that at least 100 truckloads of essential aid is required and USA and Israel are allowing only 20 trucks in per day, a drop in the ocean. This is just a hypocritical token to attempt to buy political capital to show they are just humans albeit with animal mentality, which they are obviously. Fuel is not even allowed in. All this points to war crimes. But they, both USA and Israel, are not going to care about global disdain and opinions, as in their warp minds, might is always right.

There is now a propaganda war regarding the bombing of the Hospital in Gaza that killed 500 people, with both sides blaming the other. Israel is propagating narratives that the rocket that hit the Hospital was fired by Hamas that went out of control. That rocket must certainly be on the side of the Israelis, hitting, of all possible targets, the Hospital which was obviously singled out, and is a more precise hit that can only be possible with those satellite guided missiles. In Ukraine, the misfired rocket by the Ukrainians landed in a field in Poland, which Ukraine claimed was a Russian rocket that almost started a false flag by Zelenskyy. The Israelis are taking a leaf from Zelenskyy trying to blame Hamas with videos and intercepted phone conversations in support.

How difficult is it to create such fabricating videos and purported telephone conversations in today's world? Twenty years ago in Iraq, the USA and UK created fabricated 'mother of all videos' of trucks carrying steel pipes claimed to be for making nuclear missiles, fake intercepted telephone conversations between Iraqi Military Forces, and Colin Powell holding a vial containing detergents, masquarading as biological weapons, to convince the UN to provide the rubber stamp to carry out the Iraq War.

Top Chinese scientists and engineers are returning to China, leaving a big void in US corporations, academia and govt agencies

 The USA and the West had this wish to decouple from China. Now it is called de-risking. But calling shit or poo by any other name still smells as bad. Despite all the denial that the USA and Europe are not decoupling or derisking from China, China knows what all that hocus pocus means and is not falling for it and is getting ready for it.

So, decoupling or derisking it still stands, and China is now helping them, with students refraining from studying in the USA, and Chinese tourist avoiding USA and other Anglo-Saxon countries. The fall in Chinese student enrollments in the USA and UK Universities are putting Universities in the USA and UK in financial distress, cutting staff and closing campuses. Chinese University staff in USA and UK are returning to China to teach in the rapidly expanding higher education sector in China. China did not have to spend a fortune training and cultivating them. What a bountiful harvest indeed!

Chinese scientists and engineers working in the USA are facing racial discrimination and abuse and thousands are leaving the USA and going back to China. Fake claims of spying and punishment are also causing the exodus. This is turning into a blessing in disguise for China as well, without having to lure them back. China needs all the scientists and engineers for its industrial growth and welcomes them back with open arms.

There will be a shortage of such scientists and engineers staffing industries and doing research in the USA and is not good for their industrial sector going forward. Chip manufacturers are facing recruitment problems, and research and development will be affected. Instead of decoupling to advance their agenda, it is backfiring on them. Is this a surprise to us knowing that the USA and the West like to shoot their own feet, or their own head as someone said, every time they tried to put others down. They never look further than their noses when formulating policies. Many are asking where the USA strategist and foreign policy advisers are hiding.

Sometimes people never want to own up on their mistakes, or do not want to avoid them for whatever reason, and it takes people from outside to see the woods from the trees. Oh, there was this story about a boy who shouted that the Emperor had no clothes, waking up the daft citizens quietly watching the Emperor parading naked on a horse without saying the obvious. I am starting to believe it was true story, not a parody.
