Gaza - hypocrite Antony Blinken asking China to prevent escalation of conflict

I could not help thinking about how could hypocrite Antony Blinken have the audacity to be asking China to use its influence' to prevent further escalation of the conflict in the Middle East. On the one hand, Blinken is telling the Israelis that the USA is going to support Israel whatever it takes, with another aircraft carrier sent to the Eastern Mediterranean. What will Israel be thinking with such support being assured? Just like in Ukraine, the Israelis are not deaf or blind.

Does this not show that Antony Blinken is just plain hypocritical, when he is knowingly aware that the USA is sending a second aircraft carrier to the region, which is in fact already indicating that the USA wants to escalate the conflict? Why then try to drag China directly into the war between Israel and Hamas by sweet talking and playing reverse psychology that China holds that 'influence' over the two countries? What about China's ability to 'influence' when it comes to the USA, the main supporter and instigator of the Israelis, now itself entering into direct participation in the war with those assurances given to Israel? As in Ukraine, any effort by China to broker a peace deal was immediately sabotaged by the USA and the UK. I am doubly sure that if China were to try to broker a peace deal between Israel and Hamas, it will be sabotaged as well. Keeping away is my thinking for China.

Let me ask the other simple question of why is the USA trying so desperately to counter China's 'influence' in Africa and Pacific Islands, and yet now talking about China using its 'influence' in the Middle East to have a bearing in the conflict? Does China really have that influence over Israel? Does the USA even allow China to have that level of influence over Israel, for example, to make a difference? What is hypocrite Jew Antony Blinken's motive trying to pull China into the conflict?

When China tried to build up relationships in Africa, Pacific Island, Middle East and countries participating in the BRI projects, the USA goes all out to sabotage such moves, claiming China is trying to expand it 'influence' over those countries that the USA wants to control. When the USA is in need of China to take a stand, it pretends to be the angel by playing the game that China has that level of 'influence' to make a difference and should step in. China is not going to be pushed around like a football and playing into the USA's hands.

As a non participant in China's geopolitical moves, we could already see the slant in the way the USA conducts its foreign policies. Fabrication, threats and lies are never absent from their playbook.

America taking opportunity to blow up the Hamas Israel conflict

It certainly did not take long for the USA to blame Russia in the Middle East war between Israel and Hamas, now claiming that Russia is supplying USA made arms seized in Ukraine and giving them to Hamas to fight the Israelis. What is the purpose behind this accusation? To sour the relations between Moscow and Tel Aviv. Israel has quite a cordial relationship with Russia so far, in spite of the Ukraine War.

This is certainly an accusation devoid of logic, to say the least, but the morons in the USA senate are trying to use this narrative to their advantage. Why would Russia be sending USA made weapons, seized from Ukrainian forces, and giving them to Hamas, when the Ukrainians had been reported to have said that Russian forces have no more weapons to fight with and just using 'spades' to do battle? Giving away weapons when it has no more weapons to fight with? What kind of logic is that? That was a year ago, I think. Why would the Russians not used those weapons themselves against the Ukrainians?

Many are already highly suspicious that the USA made weapons, now in the hands of Hamas, were originally sent by the USA to Ukraine, and now some of them have ended up in the hands of Hamas, thanks to the corrupt military leaders of Zelenskyy, or even Zelenskyy himself. Perhaps this was the intention of the USA itself, closing one eye, and claiming it has no trace of the weapons sent to Ukraine. To kill two birds with one stone, they are shifting the blame to Russia while also putting Russia in a fix, between their loyalties to the Muslims and not creating tension between Moscow and Tel Aviv.

The Whites have already tried to drag Iran into the fray, earlier claiming that Iran had masterminded the Hamas attack on Israel. It is only a matter of time that they will also try to drag China involvement into the war as well. On hindsight, they have already tried to coerce China to take a stand by condemning Hamas over the attack on Israel.

The view of many analyst is that there will be a surge in freedom fighters rising against those countries taking a stand against the action of Hamas, and we in Red Dot better take note. Those relatively quiet freedom fighters in organisations like Al Qaeda are going to be very active soon. That is the most lucrative news for the Military Industrial Complex of the USA, with more weapon sales in the pipeline. To one side on the surface, and to the other side under the radar, like using Ukraine to do the laundrying.

India arrests employee of Chinese phonemaker Vivo

New Delhi’s state agencies have been targeting mobile phone companies Oppo and Xiaomi in the past 18 months

New Delhi’s financial enforcement agency has arrested an employee of Chinese mobile phone company Vivo, reigniting anger of a renewed crackdown on Chinese companies operating in India.

The overnight arrest comes more than a year after India’s Enforcement Directorate, which investigates financial crimes, raided vivo properties to probe claims of illegally remittance of funds from India to China, which the directorate said was equivalent to nearly half the company’s Rs1.2tn (£11.7bn) turnover.

India and China’s diplomatic relations have been tense since deadly clashes between soldiers along the Himalayan border in 2020 and, while trade has continued, India has retaliated economically by banning scores of Chinese apps from its market, including video app TikTok.

An Indian government official said the Enforcement Directorate had arrested four people linked to vivo, including a Chinese national. Another person with knowledge of the matter said one Chinese national was among those arrested. The Enforcement Directorate has not publicly commented.

Vivo said one of its employees had been arrested, without elaborating on their nationality. “The recent arrest deeply concerns us,” it said a statement to the FT. “We will exercise all available legal options”. Vivo added that it “firmly adheres to its ethical principles and remains dedicated to legal compliance”.

No information about the nature of charges has been made public.

Indian state agencies have also targeted Chinese mobile phone companies Oppo and Xiaomi in the past 18 months. They froze almost $700mn of Xiaomi’s assets. The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, the tax enforcement agency, last year accused vivo of customs evasion. Vivo said at the time it was co-operating with authorities.

Beijing says: "India’s unscrupulous attitude toward foreign companies is like a rogue state. India’s so-called rise will not go far if it goes on like this. Extreme nationalism, arrogance, racial & caste conflicts will hinder or even destroy India’s modernization construction."

PS. When would the Chinese companies learn to be smart and pull out of India? I bet they would remain as stupid as ever, keep throwing money into a black hole and pretend that they are making money or hoping that in the long run they would make money. This is stupidity has no cure.

Snakes would always be snake. Playing with snakes must be bitten by snakes.

The American disease killing its allies

Any country that comes close or touches the USA plague is suffering today. Germany, and the EU countries are not going to enjoy the snow this winter for sure.

Kishida, with all the problems facing Japan, is relatively quiet recently - the shortage of rare earth elements for its semiconductor industry, the now out competed motor vehicle industry, the decapitated seafood industry, and the Yen reaching for banana status. Kishida can continue with Japan's formula of 'stimulation', but it will be an exercise in futility. Follow the USA and do what the USA says, and Japan will die for the USA without a word of thanks.

Yoon is not as gung ho as you can imagine, with Samsung suffering a massive profit dive with lay offs in the pipeline. What is even more worrying is the rare earth export control by China, which Samsung and other semiconductor establishment is going to face. Following the dictates of the USA is indeed fatal.

As chip manufacturers like Samsung and Hynix stagnate, Chinese chip makers are having a good spell, with a couple of them snatching contracts under the void left by them. Indeed it has been a blessing in disguise for these Chinese chip makers. Chinese tech companies are all supporting domestic chip makers and supply chains. This is Chinese patriotism that is a trait long establised when oversea Chinese were supporting the motherland against the Japanese during the war.

Rare earth war - China squeezing Americans' balls

Now I understand why Joe Biden went to Vietnam recently. It seems that Vietnam has the world's second largest rare earth reserves still to be exploited, and is thinking of reopening a dormant mine for rare earth extraction, said to be to counter China of course. That must be music to Biden's ears. Joe was there in Vietnam recently and we now know why. It was not cementing ties as he spouted. It is looking after the USA's interest, clear and simple.

However, extraction of the ore is not difficult, and rare earth ores are abundant in most countries. The real problem is processing them into useful elements, which China is the world's largest processing hub. Setting up processing plants in most other countries will be a very costly matter. Even the USA is said to be using China to process part of its rare earth, knowing that China produces the best quality rare earth elements. Wonder whether this is still being done. Of course they can find investors to set up processsing plants, but at what cost and how long will it take.

Why is China not really rattled by all this? Mongolia is now out of the agenda for the USA and South Korea, having no means to move the rare earth ores out to South Korea for processing. Where will Vietnman's rare earth be processed in the near term is the question? China is not going to do it as that would run counter to its plans. China is going to let them set up expensive processing plants and produce costly essential elements. The next problem is for them to crack their heads on how to compete with China. Who has outcompeted China over the years in every economic endeavour?

Remember that China now controls the biggest rare earth reserves and produces the purest rare earth elements. China is also reported to have succeeded in finding a new method of extracting essential elements from rare earth ore, that is said to be much much cheaper and cost effective than using conventional methods. This is a game changer.

Now, why is China not rattled by what is happening in Vietnam? Since China controls the world's output of rare earth elements, China can dictate the market for such products. In the past the West had tried ways and means to force China to lower its rare earth element prices, attempting to kill China's rare earth industry. Any new competitor going into the industry has to face the consequence of China making a similar move to kill them off, forcing such competitor's pricing impossible to counter China's. What then would all those multi billion dollar investments reap in return? Investors are not going to invest in expensive processing facilities with uncertainty, knowing the pitfalls of taking on China's total control of the market.
