Libya was independent with a high level of growth. Colonel Gaddafi, its leader, did not intend to share oil with Western companies, on the contrary, he intended to use dollar deposits to mint a pan-African currency that would have annoyed the dollar and the CFA franc (the French currency imposed on the 14 former colonies).

The country is in the hands of uncontrolled Islamic tribes and militias and is divided between the government of Tripoli which is protected by Westerners, and the government of Misrata....

Why are foreign companies still wanting to invest in India when the investment environment is so bad?

Simple. Because they are just plain stupid. Period.

Stupidity has no cure.

Any foreign company that had been robbed by India and still wants to invest in India, I will say, they deserved it. No need to sympathise with them. They should blame their own stupidity. Of course they would not, because they did not know they are stupid, or they refused to admit so. They just don't tell anyone they had been robbed and cheated. The best thing is to hush up and pretend nothing has happened.

Lack of U.S.-China talks puts world 'in trouble': Philippine envoy

The Philippines is urging greater dialogue between the U.S. and China to reduce tensions strained by issues such as Taiwan, advanced technology and human rights, Manila's ambassador to the U.S. told Nikkei in a recent interview.

"We want to see more dialogue or a more open line of communication between China and the United States," Jose Manuel Romualdez said. "That will give us some form of peace of mind."

U.S. national security adviser Jake Sullivan met with top Chinese diplomat Wang Yi in Vienna last week for eight hours of talks. The meeting was the highest-level engagement between the two major powers since an American fighter jet shot down a Chinese surveillance balloon in February.

Romualdez, a close foreign policy adviser to Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., hailed the meeting as a "good sign" but hopes more talks take place.

"If you don't have that kind of communication, then we are all in trouble. The world is in trouble," he said.

Romualdez's comments reflect growing concern in Southeast Asia that a lack of U.S.-China engagement will escalate tensions in the region and raise the odds of a military confrontation.

A possible meeting between U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Chinese Defense Minister Li Shangfu in Singapore on the sidelines of the Shangri-La Dialogue security conference in early June is attracting particular attention. American sanctions imposed on Li in 2018 have made China reluctant to hold the talks, a source familiar with the matter said.

As for the South China Sea, Romualdez hopes joint maritime patrols with the U.S. begin by "the third quarter of this year." He does not rule out such operations in the Spratly Islands around Ayungin Shoal, also known as Second Thomas Shoal, where the Philippines often has criticized potentially unsafe maneuvers by Chinese ships.

"I would assume [the patrols] will include everything. I'm hoping that it will be encompassing around our territory," Romualdez said. "The freedom of navigation, which President Marcos has said so many times, is very important, because that has something to do with economic security. So much trade passes through [those waters]."

Romualdez wants the patrols to include Australia and Japan, as Marcos is more willing to work on multilateral security arrangements.

The ambassador said details of the joint operations should be discussed with defense officials "including our other partners in Australia or even Japan," adding that their participation would make joint patrols "a more plausible type of maritime security agreement."

Marcos and President Joe Biden did not discuss U.S. deployment of land-based intermediate range missiles to the Philippine territories during their meeting at the White House this month, Romualdez said.

"There's none," he said, referring to such talks. "That's something that will have to be decided upon by the highest levels in our government and also in the government of the United States."

The U.S. Marine Corps and Army are developing the new capabilities to deter China, and Washington is believed to be searching for host nations in the western Pacific. The missiles were prohibited from being developed until the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty between the U.S. and Russia expired in 2019.

White men's last ditch to rule the world

How many attempts have the Anglo Saxon Whites tried to decimate and destroy China in the past can be counted. From the Brits and handed over to the USA to put China down, that vile mentality and agenda has never been far from their sick minds.
The use of religion failed. The use of drugging aka Opium War failed. The use of force to divide China up, together with Japan, failed. The use of trade war, I believe still ongoing, but having little success. The use of bilogical weapons aka COVID19 failed. Now trying to use technology to strangle China is backfiring and will fail too.

China is retaliating against USA companies suspected of being a threat to its National Security. And it is about time as de-coupling is ongoing for real, despite the denial. What is sauce for the goose, is also sauce for the gander. Tit for tat is the way to go for China.

Now, why would they be using all these vile tactics to destroy China and not any other country? They believe that destroying China would allow them to remain the dominant race till eternity. No other country, besides Russia and China have the clout to lead the de-dollarisation movement and escape military retaliation and eventual demise, and China is the main target. Just look at the stance of the Anglo Saxon Whites all taking potshots at China. They had to stand together in a show of solidarity and unity to provide a bigger clout to fight BRICS attempt to de-dollarise, and put paid to the US$ hegemony. Their superiority complex is at risk of being ended for good.

We were lured to believe earlier that perhaps, Olaf Scholz trip to China was going to make Germany take on a different stance towards China. Alas, some behind the scene 'hair blower sessions' with USA hawks and Biden changed all that. Today, he is as hostile in his speeches as always towards China, and totally obedient as a poodle towards the USA. The USA orders him to jump and he will ask how high and then jump. The USA orders him to bend down and he will do likewise. Even poodles would have objected to bending down, I would think.

Similarly we were tricked into believing that Macron was really setting another different stance towards China, trying to show a friendly face towards China during his recent visit. We were totally blindsided by his double faceted antics, after getting his hair blower treatment by the USA hawks and Biden. Now trying to cause a split between Russia and China by branding Russia as a vassal of China. Did he look at himself in the mirror? What is he himself, and all of the EU leaders in relation to the USA? Are they not vassals of the USA and towing the USA line in everything.

As I said earlier, China must never trust any Anglo Saxon White leaders. The Anglo Saxon Whites are a close clique that is desperately trying to preserve the US$ hegemony and thus ensure their superiority status towards the rest of the world, especially the Global South. Japan, the fake self touted White Snake is also among countries that China must stay far away and treat as unfriendly at best, and the most dangerous enemy. The enmity between China and Japan can never be reconciled, as the blood debt is too great. That is the issue that the USA is capitalising on.

American trade deficit - An American wet dream

 The Americans are crying that they are suffering because of trade deficits with almost every country and especially China. Is this real? Are the Americans suffering and getting poorer because of the huge trade deficits it is chalking up year after year?

The truth, the Americans are laughing at all the countries having trade surpluses for sending goods and materials to the Americans to exchange for pieces of worthless money in time to come. The Americans would keep printing and keep buying and enjoy life while the rest of the world would be working very hard to help the Americans enjoy their high life, without having to work for it.

No, the Americans are not a wee bit worried about the huge trade deficit and foreign debt. They are just paper losses, statistics, did not mean a thing, just a number. This is a scam. The Americans will keep on enjoying life with practically free goods and services by printing and printing more paper money to be held and kept in the safes of foreign countries. Their complaints of the deficits are just a distraction to give the impression that it is real and serious, but would not be an issue to the Americans unless the world gets wiser and stop accepting American dollars.

The American wet dream is never having to pay back the debt in real terms. Just print toilet papers to settle the debt. The fake crisis in Congress to raise the debt ceiling is just that, a theatre, never meant to be a real issue. As long as they can con the world to accept their toilet papers as money, the debt can go to infinity, go on forever.

China is waking up to this American lie and so are the BRICS countries. They are going to stop selling goods to the Americans in exchange for worthless American fiat currency, the US$. This deception must be stopped sooner or later. They cannot be stupid forever. At one time it made sense, but not anymore when the Americans' big plan is to keep printing and inflate the depreciated the dollars and eventually turning it into worthless papers, worthless debt. And the losers would be China and all the countries selling to American and ended up with worthless pieces of papers.

The day the world stop accepting and using the American dollar, it would be game over. But if the world continues to play this monopoly game using fake paper money, the game will go on and on and the Americans would be laughing at the stupidity of the world.

Now the question is how long would this game last and when would the players walk away and throw all the toilet papers back to the Americans. The Americans are playing with fake money. But the rest of the world are sending them real goods to exchange for the Monopoly money.

All the American debt and T bills would be worthless. Countries like China and big holders of T bills must quickly get rid of them before it is too late. The window is closing real fast. Many creditors would be locked out and ending with tons of toilet papers when the door is closed.

This is the real debt trap the Americans are setting for the buyers of their debt.
