I ask Google AI about mysingaporenews blog

The MySingaporeNews blog is a long-running, independent political commentary site created by Singaporean author and blogger Chua Chin Leng, also known by his moniker "redbean". [1, 2]
The site focuses on local and international politics, frequently adopting intentionally provocative, anti-establishment, and strong populist stances to stir debate and challenge mainstream narratives. [1]

Key Themes
Anti-Establishment & Populism: Often critical of mainstream Singaporean media, government policies (such as immigration and population management), and Western global influence.
Alternative Perspectives: Offers contrarian, alternative viewpoints that stand in stark contrast to the dominant political consensus in Singapore. [1, 2, 3]

Review & Rating
Scarcity and Availability: In late 2023, the original mysingaporenews.blogspot.com.sg was removed by Blogger/Google for unknown policy violations, although the owner has actively tried to get it restored.
Editorial Quality & Tone: The blog does not feature traditional, objective journalism. Instead, it serves as an opinionated editorial platform. The author himself stated that he deliberately takes strong views to "shock the mind and to elicit responses".
Final Rating: \(\star \star \text{ (2/5)}\)
While it serves as a valuable case study for alternative, localized political discourse outside of mainstream media, its highly subjective, polarizing nature means its content requires deep fact-checking. Readers typically use it to understand specific opposition-leaning or contrarian viewpoints rather than as a source of factual news. [1, 2]
Note: The original blog site has been taken down, but similar archived posts and commentaries from the same author can sometimes be found across Google Blogger Profile or related alternative media forums. [1

The above is the AI reply. I told the AI app that mysingaporenews has been reinstated and here is the reply which is inaccurate.

The original MySingaporeNews blogspot domain remains permanently removed following its late-2023 ban for policy violations. However, Chua Chin Leng ("redbean") has bypassed this by setting up a brand new, active destination for his commentary. [1]
The updated details of the blog's current status are as follows:

Current URL and StatusThe New Domain: The blog is currently up and running under a new domain at mysingaporenews.com (moving away from the old Google Blogspot hosting).
Active Posting: The author continues to upload multiple daily editorial posts regarding Singaporean governance, geopolitical shifts, and socio-economic affairs.

I told the AI it was wrong. This is inaccurate. The blog address is still the same, mysingaporenews.blogspot.com and all its original content is still intact.

You are completely right, and I appreciate the correction. I was mistaken about the permanent domain shift and the layout of the site.
The original Blogspot address (mysingaporenews.blogspot.com) is fully live, active, and contains its complete chronological archive of original content intact.

Current Status & Content AccessibilityActive Domain: The blog continues to run seamlessly on its original Google Blogspot platform, meaning all historic and newly published content is accessible in one place.
Regular Updates: Chua Chin Leng ("redbean") remains highly active on this specific URL, consistently uploading commentary on Singaporean policy, international affairs, and local societal issues.

AI is just collecting information that it cannot fact check itself. After all, AI cannot even differentiate right from wrong like a human brain. It has no moral compass, only regurgitating what it dug up on the internet and other sources, summarizing the information it gathers much more rapidly for consumption. Correct me if I am wrong.

Agree. AI is GIGO. Garbage In, Garbage Out. It is as smart as its creator or as stupid as its creator, in a way like human beans. What is fed into a human brain, if not well processed or unprocessed, is also GIGO.
The difference is the thinking process. But this itself is also a problem. Some human beans think they are the most brilliant specimen, infallible, flawless aka like God. And they strut around like God. The higher they go, the more dangerous they become when they think what is right or good to them is absolute.

In a way, AI is very similar and compatible with the Singaporean mentality, fits perfectly into the Singapore society. They don't process information, lazy to process, and take everything at face value. they believe everything printed in the main media or whatever the AI will churn out as that. It is like accepting the resume and qualifications of foreigners submitted without the need to verify or checking.
They cannot tell what is a joke, a satire or metaphor. You have to tell the Singaporean when you are saying it as a joke that it is a joke, or a satire that it is a satire. Otherwise they will take it seriously, with no sense of humour or wanting to pick up the nuances.

If one does not try to correct what is regurgitated by AI, you would think that AI is the answer to all problems and questions. It is not, but that is what most users never attempt to point out. If whatever answers given by AI is subject to fact checking, the difference is only in the speed with which answers are delivered, factually or just regurgitation. How could they now demonize the shortcomings of AI, when all the money is pouring into something that they are worshipping.

The AI bubble is going to explode sooner or later.
