Singapore Today: The Faultless Human Errors

It has been proudly, gloriously and openly reported in the news that about 3,000 public service officers, both past and present, have been short-changed for a total of about $10 million because of HUMAN ERRORS.

"About 3,000 public service officers past and present will be compensated with a total of around S$10 million after errors were found in the Civil Service’s human resource (HR) records, the Public Service Division (PSD) said on Wednesday (Nov 18).

“The errors arose primarily because of human errors in data entry and coding of the HR and payroll IT systems,” PSD said. “The IT systems also had inadequate error detection capabilities.”

Isn't this is a clear, distinct and outstanding example of carelessness, incompetence and complacency?

Some top people are very fond of saying, "If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys." According Mrs Goh Chok Tong's standard, one peanut is equivalent to $60,000. Then what we get when ministers and top civil servants are paid 20 to 30 peanuts?

You are bound to get very lazy monkeys, because they have been too well fed. They over-eat the peanuts and grow so fat until they become huge orang-utans. So much so they can't move easily, become not agile anymore. Ultimately, complacency and incompetence set in, over the long years of service, and long years in power.

In the past, especially during the very strict, no-nonsense LKY-GKS Administration, we very seldom heard of HUMAN ERRORS being glorified as an excuse for big cock-ups like this one. Why?

Because heads would roll the moment the slightest display of complacency or incompetence
is uncovered. Not the lower rungs' heads. But the head who sits right at the top of the ministry or statutory board.

Basically, what does Human Errors mean? Isn't it as good as saying some human beings have been careless?

What causes carelessness? Isn't it caused by complacency?

What causes complacency? Isn't it due to incompetence?

What causes incompetence? Is it because of having been promoted to the level of incompetence, coupled with too much pay? Too-good-to-be-true type of pay? Instant millionaire pay? Out-of-this-world pay? Unconscionable pay?

Nobody is to be blamed. Cannot blame the humans who have HUMAN ERRORS because nobody is perfect. Everyone is bound to make mistakes. Everyone is entitled to make mistakes, especially when you are part of the Elite Entitlement Culture (EEC). So now blame who/what?

Hey, presto! Blame it on the IT system! Machines cannot fight back. So easy and convenient. Who don't know? But, but, but wait a minute. WHO approved the lousy, cock-up, blame-worthy IT system in the first place?

The IT System is not good enough because the person or committee that approved the IT System is not good enough. Simple as that. He/she/they are prone to HUMAN ERRORS. He/she/they have HUMAN ERRORS!

All civil servants are ENTITLED TO HAVE HUMAN ERRORS. So cannot fault them. It is not their fault that they have become so complacent, so careless, so incompetent that they now possess full of HUMAN ERRORS. It is because they have been paid out of this world unconscionable $million salaries to reach Multi-millionaire Status easily that they now take things easy so that they have so many Human Errors. It is not their fault that they are paid such obscene salary. Somebody else volunteered to pay them such obscene salary, plus even more obscene annual bonuses.

HUMAN ERRORS are faultless. It is honest mistakes because there is no such thing as dishonest mistake. If it is dishonest, the it cannot be mistakes; it would be deliberate, premeditated manipulations. Simple as that.

Is that loud and clear?

Once you have a Leader WHO just simply brushed aside all these fiasco and said "Let's MOVE On" and just slapped on the wrists so what's you expect the old saying "Let's Get It Right The FIRST time" by the old Pioneer Leaders where heads will roll up to the TOP.

Sinkiekand Leaders with even the Top Leaders in the Public and Private Sectors are just mostly hendak kaikis and will only wayang a bit when fiscasos are bought up and swept under the carpets again.

See now, the MUM or MOM wayang to check and said many employers are been investigated for unfair hirings.

So, all the while they are Sleeping?

Don't wayang lah. It's ALREADY too late to salvage.

Also, now fast and furious what's new economy's of techno and manufacturing of Techno industries.Setting up what's Innov Research Centers and Institutes.

Should have done them ages ago.

Now played catch up. Too late liao.

Many will be eating grass with your old complacent economy.

Anyway, Sinkies needed to be screwed with a wake up nightmare.

With this revelation of $10M shortchange, I m quite worried about other Ministries and their depts whether their records for the past 10, 15 or 20 years were in order, esp money and funds are involved. I believe the civil service has audit departments, and external auditors to carry out checks, e.g half-yearly or yearly checks, I am not sure. Are the auditors accountable ? You see, we lay-peoples have many wild thoughts. That is y many records, information or our reserves should made available to the public, incl the oppo MPs.

Apologies.

Yes, according to Mrs Goh Chok Tong, one (1) peanut is $600,000, not $60,000. That's what she said about T.T. Durai's pay while enjoying the status of the CEO of NKF.

During his reign at the NKF, it was later revealed that for every dollar donated by the public to help the patients, NKF pocketed 90 cents and only allocated 10 cents to the rightful recepients of the donations, ie the patients who badly needed the money for their kidney dialysis. This is really unthinkable. How cruel and ruthless can a human heart be?

Moral of the NKF story:

When an organisation put into position of power, people who are smart, shrewd and cunning but have a mercenary's heart, there is no telling what cruelty, ruthlessness and damages they can do to those under their care.

A recent revelation is the Australians special forces murdering the innocent defenceless civilians in Afghanistan systematically and mercilrssly without blinking an eyelid. How cruel and ruthless can a human heart be?

Aiyo SSO

Korean Dramas shown so many episodes of those Elites in cahoots with the Ruling Government and under their powers and umbrellas abusing their powers.

Happened everywhere in Matland etc and all countries.

That's why they always said It's NOT how SMART you are to go up the ladder but What's Connections you have to go up.

Even losing candidates of the PAP are assured and guarantee good postiins in their organisations.
Sinkiekand also no exception. Humans weaknesses and behaviours.

The Great Leader taught well. Never admit mistakes because it is a sign of weakness.

Discreetly correct the mistake, but make it such that nobody is the wiser. If not possible, blame it on 'inhuman' error or find a low down scapegoat to pin the blame.

But as time goes on and mistakes occur too often, even the grassroots cannot be fooled.

Uncle Redbean, you must be mistaken to think that any chosen representative of the PAP elites can be liable to make a mistake. That cannot be. You must be sadly mistaken. These elites can be never be wrong. Whatever they do must be above mistake. Whenever anything do go wrong, it must be the underlings and the elites will become Taichi masters. That is the reason they deserve big salaries and perks,

It will be go to have a new government, composed entirely of non-PAP or ex-PAP members, to dig deep and long into the numerous mistakes and possible crimes that might have been committed and covered-up in the 55 years or so in power.

The Great Leader not only taught well, his Martial 'Art of Deflection' knows no equal. That is why the PAP sorely needs another Great Leader of deflection, but sadly none existed.

Dragon Prince looks terrible coping with so many opposition MPs now, plus the COVID19, plus the familee trouble, plus his dormant illness.
