Super education for super kids

We have heard the parents and the educators. They want the best education for the children. Everything that needs to be taught will be taught. Our children are our future and should be the best they can be. They will be taught the basic knowledge in schools. They would also be taught the arts, music, and sports. They will also be mould with the best values of good responsible citizens. In short, they will all grow up in the best education system the schools can provide and will turn out to be world best, short of being geniuses in every one of them. And they will beat the rest of the world with their hands down, rounded in every skill.

One little thought, while we aspire to have the best for the children, and wanted them to be the best, do they have the potential to be the very best? And at their tender age, how much can they really absorb or be taught, educated and trained to be what the system wants them to be? Children develop at different age and different paces. Some mature earlier than others. Some learn faster or earlier than others. How much can the system squeezed into them to be super beans?

The reality has proven otherwise. We have the best system for many years. We have the best trained teachers and the best equipped and furnished schools and environment. We have the money and resources, from the schools and the parents’ pockets to give to the children.

And what did we produce? Nothing better than children from Third World countries who did not have anything but merely the basics, a roof over their heads, rickety furnitures and poorly trained teachers. And they are producing all the talents that we need and filling up the top positions in our economy.

What happen to all our super all rounded kids? Where are they? Driving taxis or what? Or are they kept in the museums or in the Guinness Book of Records? Even Santos is better than our super kids.

According to my PAP friends.

Real Madrid just paid 100 million pounds for a footballer called Gareth Bale to kick a football around a field.

So why shouldn't Singaporeans pay a million dollars to watch less talented footballers kick the can down the road in Singapore parliament?

SOURCE:

Because Real Madrid is subject to market forces to pay $100 million pounds mah. Market forces say OK so OK lor.

Whereas Sinkie ministers are not only subject to market forces, but also election forces (the 60%) as well.

60% say OK for million dollar ministers so OK lor.

If we don't pay talented ministers million dollars and more, they will go to private sector due to market forces.

Best must need spending, you know.

Govt spend, parents spend, Sinkies spend, foreigners spend, all these contribute to higher GDP mah.

I have something disturbing for all, and I think its the "Super education for super kids", we were at the wake of our 103 year old grand aunt's wake. Some of us meeting for the first time. A few of us have kids in RI and HCI. They do not communicate with others, they were normal kids until they enter these schools, but now lost the ability to communicate with the rest of the people, always look stressed and quiet, always like in deep thoughts... While the rest of the kids who are in normal neighbourhood schools were livelier. WTF has gone wrong with the super educations???? turning out dull kids for just uncaring souls??? in these elitist country???

According to my PAP friends.

The real purpose is to turn bright Singapore kids into stressed and obedient adults.
Otherwise these bright Singapore kids will realize very quickly that the emperor is not wearing any clothes.
And become future troublesome leaders of Opposition parties.

Maybe this is life in Singapore?
Maybe only the children of certain Ministers matter?
The rest are just Kleenex tissue.
To be used up and discarded?
For the greater good of the party and Singapore?

We can only hope our ministers will go and go very fast and very far.
Like George Yeo.
Singapore is too small to tolerate so many screw ups in such a small piece of land.

how do one define what constitute the BEST education system........

I think no parent want to stresssssssss their children in education......

but our society is such that high level high paying jobs go to people with good results.....

that is the real reasons why parents want their children to do well in school.....

In every company I go, I often chasten my colleague for dispensing tough interview technical papers. I told them we must have give priority to our young man. Such tough paper will only filter out our young guys and bring in FT.

The availability of cognitive jobs and the IQ of our next generation is correlated. The Jews were having the cognitive since middle age like usury and accountings and they win out the gentile who do farming.

The FT policy damned our young.

"Not many Singaporeans seem to be interested in these world events as if they did not affect them."

I strongly disagrees! Many Sinkies oppositions in TRE and elsewhere are too dumbs and voice support for TJS, including begging him to run and form his own party. How many readers comparing Obamabot's speech to our regime some even beg Obama to be our PM. Many prays and some even believe come 2016 the opposition will become the next government if we just vote for the oppositions and with the Civil Servant running the show. I suggest you read Little Speck recent articles below.

http://www.tremeritus.com/2013/09/01/pap-plan-to-retain-support/
http://www.littlespeck.com/content/politics/CTrendsPolitics-130831.htm

I have never voted for the regime in my entire life, I blame NOT the regime but Sinkies. I can safely says - over 70% of all the oppositions are no different from the regime's supporters. Many cries and beg support for the opposition (and TJS) comes 2016. It too late, you can't turn the clock back. I pity "Blue buaya" in an Article "Reader advises his son to emigrate".

http://www.tremeritus.com/2013/09/01/reader-advises-his-son-to-emigrate/

Little did "Blue buaya" know many of the so call "Western Democracies" are "Duopoly", his children ain't going to find any peace anywhere. If you wondering why I mention TJS. Here is my strongest evident:

http://www.tremeritus.com/2012/11/07/the-world-comes-to-ohio/ and in National Day Celebration Event in Hong Lim Park on 9 August 2013.] TRE used "Tan Jee Say: Celebrate Hope, Welcome Change" "Change" my arse, borrowing for Obamabot's 2008 champaign message to con Sinkies. http://www.tremeritus.com/2013/08/10/tan-jee-say-celebrate-hope-welcome-change/

I still support TRE - but as what I would like.

Singapore don't really need super kids.

We only need one child to be like Lee Kuan Yew.
The rest can be coolies is good enough already.
Do you think your children can be like Lee Kuan Yew?
Is your surname Lee?
Are you related to you-know-who?

Anonymous said...

They dont need you lah...they just people who are related to the Lee lah.

Do you think you are smarter than them..

Many parents think their children are wonder kids, can learn and do so many things. They forgot to that not every child is gifted in the same thing.

Better to let the children develop at their own pace and not to overload them or demand too much from them. As they grow they will pick up along the way.

Singapore kids are very fortunate. Many of them not only ace exams, but they have more disposal cash than most of their contemporaries in the so-called developed world.

Unfortunately there's not enough local kids to make up the numbers of obedient adult autonomotons needed to keep the numbers of Steeple required to serve the interests of the elites, because the non enough of the local gals are using their vaginas baby - makers for The State.

So the Pap's bright idea was to encourage higher immigration numbers to solve the "lack of Sheeple" problem.

Apparently the PAP overlooked the most OBVIOUS solution. All they had to do was to nationalise the 2-3 million local females' vaginas and introduce a form of National Service for women. Women between the ages of 18 and 21 are to shit out at least 2 babies. After that their pussies have to serve RESERVIST - pumping out at least 2 new citizens per decade until age 40.

If the government did that, there's no reason to import so many extra humans.

Guys have to do NS. Well it's about time the women started to pull their own weight. At the moment they're using their cunts for selfish pleasure. It is high time to conscript those millions of chau ji bais for patriot duty, and to secure the national prosperity for the future!

We need platoons, units, and battalions of ji bais, and they can also march proudly every National Day.

Hullo..We only manage to produce a new generation of chia leow bee, selfish, greedy, cold blooded and cultureless kids.Literate but uneducated.
The only thing successful is that they become more westernise and will slowly call the angmos as their ancestors.

Lost sense of direction.Cannot think out of the box.Turnau, seenau or whatever nau.

I prefer to let my future kids to be a BohTartCheh.Call them Ah Goo,Ah Kow or agongsoon. At leat they will be taught by me on filial piety, respect for elders, respect their ancestors, humane and considerate...

See how daft Sinkies keep discriminating their PRC cousins?
The more higher education they attend, they more daft they are.

Not everyone support TJS.Whether Shit Times or whatever social TRash media, all are bullshit,a matter of degree .
Some may moderate opinion that is pro and some will moderate comment that is anti.
My honest view to give credit to the regime or support some issue may sometime be moderated and when I brought up issue that is seen as anti establishment will be publish.
And some will deliberately let commenters attack me as if I run away but actually its that they moderate my reply that hit the nails..
So dun think those TRash media is reliable.
Only thing good is that they allow me to air some grievances ,get some thumb down and save me some money to go IMH.This one I must admit and is thankful.
Best place to visit is still My Singapore News,so far.

Thats why I say the new generation of kids are chialeowbee, only want to hear something they hope to hear.Super education, kannasai.

And are Singaporeans guilty of always voting for the wrong party?

Kids that never have the space and time to dream will never be able to realise their full potential. Maybe keeping sinkies average and not talented is good for their political agenda?

Anyway, they should import as many immigrants as the island can accomodate, make living extremely difficult and then everyone will be exhausted, enlightened and try to emigrate.

If a kid is so used to everything being served on a platter, he or she will never know what and how to pick fruits from a tree to eat, how to grow own vegetables, how to keep some chickens for eggs, how to keep some goats for milk etc. Sinkies will all be waiting to die if a big war starts tomorrow.

DPM Tharman 2005: TLLM - Teach Less Learn More.

Now is 2013, going 2014.

What is happening in the education system?

Did Tharman promise in 2005 of TLLM - Teach Less Learn More materialise.

What say you?

Some feedback from many in the system is NO! Likely has gone from bad to worst the last 8 years since ex-Education Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam uttered those TLLM - Teach Less Learn More words in 2005.

What is the current MOE people doing? Especially the much touted front runner future PM?

What would happen to this little red dot if that really takes place?

Whither ...........?

Sg has been going gostan since 1985. Had got even worst after some chartow in 1990 step up. History has already shown the era of 1990-2004 has been a big leap backwards for SinCity with all the COE scheme and what have you hatched out during those years by some touted runaway super million dollars talents to milk SINKIES dry dry. Didn't those million dollars salaries ideas emanated from those years during chartow watch? The rot probably started in 1985 after gks, tcc stepped down. SinCity beans probably have been living in a gigantic myth shrouded make belief stories since 1985. Utter sadness! Utter disgust! Utter shamelessness!

@Agongkia (September 02, 2013 1:42 pm),

I posted the above by mistake, not sure whether or how to remove it. However, regarding TRE, I had no problems with their Editorial, met one of them and probably knew the other two as well. Most TRE's posters are just patriots repeating the old shit day in and day out. They (Patriots) vote for the regime in the first place some even the last GE, now blaming the 61%. Give them the impossible assumption - Opposition win in 2916. These Patriots would do the same to the WP or whoever to the PAP today. It is amazing these Patriots believe once the oppositions come to power, everything will be over. Have they no brains, ponder the massive problems? What to do with the millions of FT, PR, New citizens in our mist? Not forgetting The GLC, NTUC, die-hard PAP supporters and their allies control 99% (guessing) economic and politically. It is indeed mind bogging! A replay of “Arab Spring”?

I was probable TRE strongly supporters and their top donors. It turns me off when the Moderators crosses the "Redline" mentioned "god" and allow personal degrading attack on other posters. I am especially cheese off when Parrots adore Obamabot and TJS. Did they not know Obamabot prosecuted more "Whistleblower" than any US President? Especially NSA spending hundreds of billions collecting what you and I posted here? What do these Parrots know and understand “free speech and press” or "Democracy” ? Don't forget it was the Financial sector that caused the financial meltdown in 2008 and TJS and K Jeyaratnam is from the Financial sector.

My special thanks to Redbean, while I will never agree with you 100%, but share your views on many especially what happens in the Middle-East. Sorry cannot buy you kopi, learned my lesson from TRE. I’ll buy you a real dinner instead. :-)

Would you allow personal attack, if posters disagree with you or another poster? Personal attacked don't mean disagreeing viewpoints or calling you a "racist" or whatever, (I can take name calling) dragging family members or love ones using inhuman words. Would you ban these posters? I am consistence sticking to the same handle everywhere. My handle here is JC.

Have done research on the people you mentioned? Their background, what they "give back" to the societies who make them filthy rich or how they get so filthy rich? All you read what they "donate" huge sum to charities. Do they pay tax and how much? Further, who are the people that run these so call nonprofit charities.... Remember NKF? You might wanna include Bill Gate, Warren Buffet. BTW all the people you mentioned are Democrats just in case you don't know John Kerry, the Clinton - some richest people in the US and Obamabot will soon be one of them after leaving office like the Lees.

Redbean, now you can understand how and whom I donate. I would rather give "cash" to senior pushing their carts collecting whenever I met including senior Sinkies table cleaners. Many dun believes someone out of the blue gives them money without soliciting. Further, there is a "new" industry. The "Feel Good Industries,” they pry on the weak that need comfort and help. Reading their article makes them feel good and believe they are on your side. You donate like "giving" to the Church. Not me, learning and getting smarter each day.

Singapore under a WP or SDP government and leadership will likely produce different results. Don't always think Singapore = PAP and PAP = Singapore.

The two is quite different.
The real Singaporeans live in HDB flats.
Real Singaporeans don't pay themselves million dollar salaries.

There attributes are largely missing in Singapore children and adults after a lifetime of conforming education and social conditioning.

The edu system has change and change through the years, and to hear the voice of parents, a dialog was conducted so that the MOE, can meet and hear the woos of parents, i attended a session whereby a lady who is now a MP was there, several question was posted to her, but the most numerous ones was how can their special need child cope with the now "inculsion" system of education, these question is real heart felt question; how will allied educators cope with special needs children which can range to 2 digits (more than a class room of students) within a school, supply cannot meet demads, many of these children will be side line as the allied educators cannot cope, even when 2 such educators was allocated, when 1 resign, replacements can take more than half a year.
The rational of "inculsion" is that every child that comes under the umbrella of the school can be provided for, the idea was excellent but the plan and actual workings is terribly wrong, the fast learners of course will be the pace rabbits but the tail enders is dying seriously, not able to cope is just 1 problem, the schools are financially tied to do anything for individuals who are struggling.
I'm not saying that the govt is not doing anything for the children but if a comparision is made in terms of money given, there is a huge gap; e.g. A 250 million park vs 30 million given to programs for children???, Question post by myself on why 1 very distinct school of special needs was so so expensive was shot down by that lady, she wanted the dialog to cont., hearing how rich mothers who had brought up their children with no problems as they had given them the correct virtue was too much for me as i walk out.
We do have 40 students still in one class compared to other countries, there is a real need for this to be look at, the introduction of another 40 places for new entries do not mean locals will come in, as it was never said that it is solely for singaporens.
We do have the best schools but make sure you give your child that extra 5 tuition weekly to run with the pact, if not.......
