Our rice bowl is safe
Good news, we have sourced far and wide to get the cheapest rice. And our stockpile will ensure that we will have all the rice that we need. No need to panic buy.
But make sure your pocket got money. The price hike is inevitable. It is an international phenomenon and beyond our control.

To help Singaporeans, particularly the poor, would it not be possible for the govt to use a small portion of our vast reserve to keep the price of rice down? Maybe GST should be taken off rice and rice products for the time being.
i think we shouldn't worry. the govt is working very hard to get help to those that need them.
gst is the key to more taxes to help the poor. cannot anyhow back peddle on this.
take $1 return 30c, someone said earlier.

one small bowl of rice in a hawker centre is now 80c! phew!
Consider yourself still lucky. White rice ta-pow in Perf is AUD4!
