Wayang is a disease of people with no ideas

There is so much feedback and truth on the internet, why not tap on these and move the country forward? why make feedback fake? proper channels? yes but the info has always been tweaked. this show one thing, in this new economy, the top will not last long. thankfully i hope. may the next better player take over.
There is one thing i learnt during my 2 years serving the nation, it is this word called wayang. a good balance is good but too much wayang is bad for the country.

A concerned citizen


The above is part of a post in TRE under the title 'Singapore is spiralling downwards'. Just a week earlier there was this big wayang conducted by MAS inviting remisiers and people in the industry to share their thoughts on why the stock market is dying. I was not there and did not know what was actually spoken. Did they admit that the stock market is dying or just going through another wayang to show that they are doing something, to want to save the stock market? The fact that such a meeting was called is an admission that something was badly wrong despite the regular rhetoric that the stock market is doing fine, doing so well, that derivatives trading volume has been trending up.

The calling for such a meeting said two things, one, confirming that Singapore is spiralling down, and two, yes, another big wayang. why?

The fate of a stock market is a result of many decisions by the authority and would not be resolved or saved by the views of a few laypeople that attended such a meeting with their impromptu opinions, mostly not well thought through, and mainly gut feels. How could such meeting on such a serious topic be of value to save a dying stock market.

Ok, some may think I am being presumptious, that I am wrong, the stock market is soooo healthy, the best in Asia. The fact is, the number of remisiers in the industry has dropped to half, and many still around are about to fade into oblivion. Many are earning less than a cleaner in the foodcourt or hawker centre, or even an office cleaner. Many are evening receiving subsidies for their low income.

And the insane thing about this sorry state of affair is that anyone stupid enough to want to join the industry must sit and pass a series of examinations and pay hefty fees for lessons and license to earn a few hundred dollars a month. Can you believe that? A cleaner or a security guard could earn more without the next to sit for stringent examinations!

Ok, what is the beef? The problems of a sick and dying stock market are serious problems that no ordinary laymen could resolve. And if people noted as super talents earning super talent pay cannot solve the problem, did not know what is happening, how could they expect the laymen, the low down no brain laymen to tell them what to do, to come up with solutions?

This is a fundamental flaw in the thinking and approach. The highly paid professionals and management that are supposed to make the market better have failed so badly that they are looking at straws to save the day.

Come on, let's face it, if the experts and super talents are lost and clueless, no one on the street can be of any help. And when the experts and super talents are running out of ideas, the way to go is down, spiralling down. No amount of wayang is going to help.

Seriously, what really came out of that meeting? Anything useful? Did they go back and study what was discussed or it was just a show, everything forgotten the moment they stepped out of the meeting?

Do they know what is wrong with the industry? Do they want to know what is wrong with the industry? Do they have the will and guts to want to right the wrongs in the industry and save the industry? Is there anyone having sleepless nights thinking about these problems or are they just crossing their fingers and hoping that it would last a few more days before game over?

Maybe there is really no problem and nothing needs to be done. The industry is just like that, nothing can be done, like fourth stage cancer.

Foreigners influencing the thinking of Singapore govt

SINGAPORE: The Chinese Embassy in Singapore on Friday (Jul 19) refuted a report alleging that Beijing has been conducting influence operations in Singapore, calling it “absurd”.

The Jul 16 report, published by US research institute the Jamestown Foundation, said that “the fundamental purpose of Chinese propaganda and influence operations in Singapore is to impose a Chinese identity on Singapore”.

The report, titled A Preliminary Survey of CCP Influence Operations in Singapore, also claimed that China uses cultural organisations, clan associations, business associations, youth programmes and the Chinese-language media to reach out to different segments of Singaporeans.

It said that business associations act as the “most powerful lobby for Chinese interests” in Singapore, and that they have lobbied the Singapore Government on behalf of “pro-PRC positions”.

Singapore media, including the Straits Times, had reported on the analysis by the report's author Mr Russell Hsiao, who is the executive director of the Global Taiwan Institute....

Mr Hsiao wrote...
“Singapore’s government views identity as an existential issue, and is likely to resist CCP efforts to make inroads in this area.”

The above article is a clear case of foreigners, ie Americans and Taiwanese, attempting to influence the thinking of Singapore govt and sowing discord between Singapore and China. The question is whether such loaded one sided article would actually affect the thinking of the Singapore govt. My view is that if the leaders of Singapore is kosong in their heads, then such articles would have great influence on them, especially the banana thinking type and the WOGs. For these type of people, they believe their ancestry came from the West and are ashamed of being Asians/Chinese and would love to distance themselves from China and be seen as closed to China or even being Chinese.

And there are many instances and evidences to confirm that this is the case. The fear of being like China could be seen in their pro American and anti China rhetoric on international issues, particularly the South China Sea claims and the need to invite the rogue Americans to balance the influence of China in the region. And there is this eagerness to strengthen relations with India with the signing of CECA and increasing the presence of Indians in the island and offering many top appointments to Indians from India, in the commercial sector, in govt linked companies and in the academia.

Maybe the banana thinking politicians feel pressurised by the West and see the need to be more westernised, even Indianised, to be acceptable to the West. As a result, Singapore is becoming more westernised and Indianised to the extent that the majority and dominance of the Chinese is being questioned and challenged by the new citizens.

The govt's promotion of speak Mandarin and clan activities are a natural cultural thing but now increasingly seen as negative especially in the above reports. Chinese should not promote their own culture and be more Chinese. Even Mandarin, one of four official languages was frown upon and attacked by a minority in facebook, ridiculed. Speaking Mandarin is unacceptable, intolerable. The person making such a stand was not reprimanded for attacking an official language, as far as I know.

So, how far would the above article influence the thinking and policies of Singapore govt to become more anti China and anti Chinese? The fact that it received so much attention to be in print in the main media said it all. Would Singapore lose its Chineseness, the main driving force that built this island to what it is today and become more like another third world city run by third world inhabitants? Donald Trump said to the immigrants, "go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places" before coming here to tell us what to do. All the major cities in Asia and SE Asia are built by Chinese stock entrepreneurs. Removing the Chinese stock or reducing their influence would have grave negative impact on the economy and infrastructure development of these cities.

The Chinese identity of Singapore is a plus factor. Do the bananas want to do away with it to embrace third world identity and spiral down to the abyss of the third world?  Would the writer, Russell Hsiao think the Chinese identity in Taiwan is bad and should be replaced by third world identity?

What is the intent of publishing such article in the main media? Agree with the writer Russell Hsiao or disagree?

Singaporeans should not complain

These are the things that Singaporeans should not complain about...

1. CPF is not your money and you cannot use or touch your CPF when you needed the money or are above 55 years. Singaporeans deserve this.

2. When you have problems finding a job but foreigners can easisly get a job here, even on short vacation while you sent out hundreds of application letters but still jobless, not even called up for interview, you, Singaporeans deserve it.

3. Foreigners are not here stealing your job, your lunch but also your personal data. With the banks and even ministries hiring foreigners to manage their IT system, your data are exposed to foreigners and at their mercy.

3. You should not complain about the high salaries of the ministers.

4. You should not complain about all the hikes in fees and prices.

5. You should not complain about the $130m spent annually on foreigners to get an education here, taking the places that should be given to your children while you have to sell your HDB flats or private properties to send your children overseas to get an education.

6. If you are victims of crimes committed by foreigners, don't complain.

7. If you lose your jobs at age 40/50/60 to fake qualification foreigners.

8. If your children are being taught by fake qualification foreigners. 

9. If you have wildlife coming here to shit on you with their narrow minded world view and imposing them on you...even teaching your children with their shit values....

Why, because you voted for it, you asked for it. Singaporeans must vote wisely, vote for political parties and politicians that are working for your interest, not against your interest or for the interest of foreigners like signing unequal treaties like the CECA. Yes, many have said here in this blog and in many blogs, Singaporeans deserve the govt they chose and should not complain when they became the victims of govt policies.

When she came to class and introduced herself by saying “Hi my name is Ms Indu and my favourite food is…”, a boy in the class allegedly shouted out “CURRY. CHICKEN CURRY, MUTTON CURRY, FISH CURRY, BEEF CURRY”

Anti-China propaganda in local mass media by USA and its agents

          In yesterday's main paper a Taiwanese Chinese American scholar by the name of Russell Hsiao, an executive director of the Taiwan Global Institute mischievously claimed that China is using cultural, clan and business associations to influence the imposition of Chinese identity on Singapore so as to get Singapore to align more with China's interest. He asserted this in an analysis which he published in the US research institute , Jamestown Foundation. He alleged that the Singapore cultural, clan and business associations are the united front organisations of China's CCP through which China carries out its influence. He went on to claim that the CCP is also trying to influence young Singaporeans by promoting economic opportunities and cultural affinity with China. Then he asserted that " Business associations in Singapore act as the most powerful lobby for Chinese interests."  He conveniently forgets that his pay master US is constantly using NGOs to undermine other countries security and carry out regime change on governments which refuse to follows US dictates.

The Singapore government must investigate him on his wild accusations and pronounce him as person-a -nongrata for trying to interfere in Singapore's internal affairs.

What is the motive of Russell Hsiao?  He is definitely up to no good and has ill-conceived evil intentions. He can be seen clearly as an American running dog and must be funded by CIA to speak everything bad against China and to stir up uncalled for suspicion among South East Asian countries against China .

He is not only the Evil Empire's propaganda mouth piece but is also in cahoot with the despicable and lunatic frustrated Taiwanese spinster Chai Ing Wen in trying to influence overseas Chinese support for her party's separatist fight for an independent Taiwan.

Taiwan could have long ago been united with mainland China had not the evil United States interfered in the Chinese civil war by stationing its Seventh Fleet in the Taiwan Straits in the 1950s.

Just like Lee Teng Hui, Chen Swee Pian and Chai Ing Wen, Russell Hsiao is also one of the few Taiwanese Chinese shameless and faceless characters who feel no shame in disowning their ancestral roots and Chinese culture. For their own selfish ends they do not mind to sell their souls and dignity ( that is if they have any ) to betray China and the Chinese people. They are always in cahoot with the West especially the Evil Empire and Japan in their vitriol propaganda to undermine China hoping to weaken and break up China and the unity of the Chinese people.

Just see how England and the Evil Empire via CIA have been trying constantly to instigate and foment unrest and public demonstrations in Hong Kong and Xin Jiang with the intention to contain and bring down China and the Chinese people.

Russell Hsiao and his likes like Chai Ing Wen and the riff-raffs in Hong Kong have no self-respect and dignity and are sure to fail in their evil designs in following the evil dictates of the United States.

The Evil Empire and its allies or agents and running dogs should not be allowed to use Singapore mass media as a medium to propagate their damaging and harmful anti-China propaganda.

Singapore must be on guard against any anti-Chinese propaganda by the Evil Empire and its agents if the island country is to continue to enjoy peace and tranquility.

American songs of delusion

The trade war between China and the US is one sided. The Americans are calling all the shots and winning. The Americans are telling the world and themselves that China’s economy is suffering but the American economy is doing just as well, very well in fact, not affected by the trade war at all. If you believe in the American rhetoric, Chinese economy is going to crumble and China would go down on its knees to beg for mercy.
 
Is this the truth? Look at the numbers. Yes the Americans are putting more tariffs on Chinese exports to the US. So China must be selling less to the Americans and worse, China is paying for the tariff hike imposed by Trump. However, the statistics said otherwise. China US trade balance in favour of China has increased in the last 6 months, ie China is selling a lot more to the US or at least in value terms. Should this be negative or positive to the Chinese economy?
 
Next, American companies are not allowed to sell the Huawei, their biggest customers and losing billions in revenue. Is this positive or negative to China’s economy or to the American economy? Not selling to Huawei means no revenue for the Americans.
 
And China has stopped buying the soya beans, meat, poultry, sea food, wines and many other things from their American suppliers. So, is this good or bad for the American economy? Produces not selling, rotting away in the warehouses.
 
Just on these 3 points alone, whose economy is suffering more? Whose economy is more affected by the trade war? Yes, the Chinese economy has shrunk by 0.3%, from 6.5% to 6.2%. The American economy not affected at all, but getting better!
 
Really? What happened to the farmers, the food producers, the electronic component manufacturers? What happened to the billions of revenue that are not coming in? Why are the farmers and electronic/computer companies petitioning the US govt to lift the ban, lift the tariff, if the American economy is doing so well?
Don’t trust the Chinese trade figures, trust the American trade figures and rhetoric. The Americans are winning the trade war!
 
What you should trust is what is real. What is real is that if the American economy is so good, why are they going to cut interest rate towards zero? Does this ring a bell that something bad is happening to the American economy? When the American economy is doing so well, should not they be raising interest rate? What kind of economy would live precariously on the edge of zero interest rate? Healthy or sick economy in the intensive care unit?

This ignorant teacher must be sacked and...

Below is a post in mothership.sg about an ignorant and full of herself teacher bullying a 9 year old boy in her class and accusing the boy of being misguided and a source of ethnic violence. She is abusing her position as a teacher to attack young children with her twisted views of what is right or wrong, acceptable or unacceptable. She is so ignorant that she did not even know that there is such a thing called beef curry just because her little mind knew that Hindu did not eat beef, so it is offensive to mention beef curry to a Hindu. If this kind of silly and warp thinking and logic are allowed in our schools and society, then many things cannot be said.

This swine of a teacher must be sacked before she does more damage to the children. Her English is half past six at best. She is aggressive and uncultured and inciting violence, telling a child that saying things like beef curry can get him killed. Which backward country would kill a child for saying such a thing?

And if she is a foreigner, send her back to where she came from. MOE please do the necessary and don't sleep on the job. MHA also must act on this before more and more of such rubbish are allowed to create more rubbish and tension in our schools and in our society. The poor boy has been attacked and butchered by this swine teacher in front of her class. The parents of the boy must take up the case with the school and the police for intimidation and verbal assault of a child. A teacher, an adult, bullying a 9 year old child! And some silly cunts with the same kind of mentality said the child's conversation was microaggression on the part of the child. Can you believe that?

A drama teacher in Singapore has taken to Twitter to complain about a nine-year-old student she encountered in one of her classes — only to remove her tweets and account after receiving backlash for her views.
