Does Japan Really want War?

Japanese militarism - Talk to the master before whacking the dog 打狗看主人

 As tension rises in East Asia, Japan, after launching the first blow, continues to escalate with no signs of easing down. China keeps responding to the Japanese provocation by upping the ante. Japan, with the mighty American terrorists behind its back, thinks it is time to push for war between China and the USA. China, forever on the defensive, is now forced to stand up or look silly to its own people and to the whole world.

The phone call between Xi and Trump did not come at a more opportune time. If Trump did not call, Xi is likely to call. Xi has to act in the face of reckless provocation by the Japanese. He cannot look weak to the Chinese people. And the statement by the Japanese woman is as close to a declaration of war, and intent to go to war with China. No Chinese with a little pride and dignity can tolerate this aggression. Period.

There are many angles to look at the conversation between Xi and Trump on the Japanese provocation. There is this saying, before whacking the dog, look at who is the owner. China knows that Japan is just a doggie to the Americans. It is only polite to talk to the Americans before kicking the dog. The owner is no small man and can respond roughly when hurt. Xi is now giving notice to Trump, 'your dog is very aggressive, and I am going to give it a good beating'. 

This is also a way to test the owner's reaction. This is also a way to probe if the Americans are together with the Japanese in this provocation. Every word that Trump said would be analysed carefully to figure out what is the truth. China would then be in a better position to respond appropriately to the challenge. Trump cannot hide the truth behind this tension. If the Americans are in it, then China would have to prepare for an all out war with the Americans, and very likely ask for full backings of the Russians and the North Koreans. Taking on the Americans and the Japanese together is a major decision that could lead to a nuclear war. 

If the Americans are not in with the Japanese, the response by China would be more targeted. China could tell Trump, just stand aside and be a spectator, no American bases or facilities will be hit. China can then go all out to deal with the doggie without offending the master or dragging the master into the fight. The doggie may think it is capable of hitting Beijing or Shanghai. Then Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and all the big Japanese cities would not be left standing. China's response could be calibrated at every level to match the ferocity of the Japanese.

Whether the Americans are behind this or not, China's position has made known to the Americans to consider in advance what is best for the Americans. The Americans may be the provocateurs behind this crisis. Now they have been kept informed of how far China would go, and how far they would want to be part of this war. They are given a choice to back down, to deescalate. The ball is now in the hands of Trump. To fight or take flight. China has showed its hands. This is real. This is not a game of poker, calling one's bluff.

Whatever, Japan is due for a good whacking, unless it apologies and backs down.

Venezuela - Please do not invade our country

 The Venezuelans are crying out to the American terrorists, please do not invade our country. They are also crying to the world for help. Did any western media call out the American terrorists as aggressive and warmongers? Did any of them call the Americans to stop their aggression? Did any of them condemned the reckless killing of Venezuelans and Colombians in the Caribbean Sea by the American terrorists in their warplanes?

Did the western media and their crony media condemn the American terrorists of putting up a bounty of $50 million for the President of Venezuela, dead or alive? Did they condemn the interference in Venezuela's internal affairs, putting up stooge as the 'legitimate' President over a popularly elected President Maduro? Did they condemn the American terrorists for wanting to overthrown Maduro, calling it regime change, like they did in Ukraine?

Gangster Trump just approved for the CIA to conduct covert and overt operations to remove Maduro as the President of Venezuela. This is an act of war, unprovoked aggression by terrorist state. No condemnation by the western media as usual. These are the savage behaviours of the American terrorists, approved and supported by the American media and the crony media by their silent consent. Also supported by the equally primitive and trigger happy hillbillies and rednecks. 

What would the American and their crony media report if China were to put up a bounty of $50m million for Trump, dead or alive? What would these mafia media report if China were to send a fleet of warships to the seas around the Philippines or Japan? Would they remain as quiet as what they are doing now with the American warships in Venezuela water? What would they report if China were to bomb the Pinoy warships and sampans that were provoking China in the South China Sea?

The American crony media in Asean would have a field day hammering China as an aggressive party, spread horrified news about Chinese aggressiveness and bad behaviour when the Chinese were to do what the Americans terrorists are doing in the Caribbeans against Venezuela and Colombia and other Central and Latin American countries.

This is the 'rules based order' of the evil American Empire. The Americans are the good guys. They are not terrorists. They are angels trying to protect Venezuelans from their elected President. The angels will invite themselves into Venezuela, without invitation from the Venezuelans, to kill the Venezuelans to save and protect them and their country. Might is right under the evil American Empire.

When Xi called Trump ... something big is happening

 For the first half of 2025, Trump was sending messages to want to meet up with Xi. He had sent all the positive signals to China, claiming Xi was his good friend, Xi was a great leader and...relations between the two countries could be good. No one believed Trump. After all Trump was the one that started the trade war with China in his first term and following up with greater intensity in his second term. Xi was reticent, no reply, not saying a single word. 

The break came on the last few days of the APEC Summit in South Korea that both would finally meet in Busan on 30 Oct. The Meeting ended with Trump claiming it was a good meeting and both walking out together smiling, like two old friends. Trump also announced he would be visiting Beijing next year and Xi would make a return visit to Washington. The trade war had a slight reprieve with China agreeing to buy soya beans, held back on more restriction on rare earths and curtailing sale of fentanyl. Trump did not really offer anything of substance or meaningful to China.

Shortly after the Meeting, negative rhetoric continued from the American side, showing signs that things were not going well. Then Japan lighted a fire by announcing that it would intervene and even attack China should China reunify with Taiwan. Suddenly everything heated up and tension rose. US was exceptionally restrained with only its ambassador in Japan making a short statement to support the Japanese position. The whole world looks on with trepidation that a great crisis is in the making.

China was infuriated with Japan crossing its red line and has slammed Japan daily, including taking measures to ban Japanese seafood, cutting off flights and tourists to Japan. Japan did not back down, refused to retract the aggressive remarks, giving the impression that the Americans were behind the move.

A war with Japan is a war between China and the USA. The consequences are beyond anyone's imagination. Both China and US would suffer unacceptable damages while Japan ended the biggest winner. Japan is setting up this fight between China and the USA.

Now Xi has made a call to Trump. Chinese media reported that Taiwan was discussed. White House did not reveal this. Xi would not call Trump to talk about golf or breakfast. Something very big must be discussed and going to take place. My opinion, Taiwan was the central issue in the phone call. Xi must have told Trump that China's red line has been crossed by the Japanese. China will act. What would be Trump's response? After the call, Trump said relations between China and US is 'extremely strong', and 'Taiwan's return to China' is key part of Beijing's vision for the world order. This is the first time Trump used the term 'extremely strong' for relations between the two countries.

The phone call must be very frank and serious. Whatever, if Xi decided it's time to act. Trump would have to consider seriously how to respond, to fight China or to let China fight Japan alone. There is no good reason for Trump to risk the whole USA to fight China all because of Japan. It is just not worth it, and there is no need to. Xi must have briefed Trump of what is coming and be best for Trump not to get involved.

The next few days or weeks are crucial moments in China US relations and would affect the future of human civilisation. A war with China is not something to mess around with. This is the real thing that Trump in all his seriousness and betting, cannot be ignored lightly. When China decides to act....

Now is the lull before the storm.
