Exercise Talisman Sabre - 30,000 participated in anti China wargame

Quotes attributable to Lieutenant General Joel B. Vowell, Deputy Commanding General U.S. Army Pacific:

“Exercise Talisman Sabre 2025 is a powerful demonstration of our combined strength, trust, interoperability, and readiness across the Indo-Pacific. As part of the Combined Joint Force, we train diligently and realistically to integrate capabilities across land, sea, air, cyber, and space domains, operating alongside our allies and partners from 19 nations...(to target China).

“Exercises like Talisman Sabre allow us to employ war winning capabilities, operate in critical locations, signal our multinational resolve, and galvanize our collective will. This is how we generate deterrence and work towards our ultimate goal: no war. (Actually to fight a war with China).

Over the next three weeks, more than 35,000 military personnel from Australia and partnering nations will deploy across Queensland, Northern Territory, Western Australia, New South Wales and Christmas Island. For the first time, activities will also be conducted outside of Australia in Papua New Guinea.

In addition to the United States, forces from Canada, Fiji, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Tonga, and the United Kingdom will join as partners.

Malaysia and Vietnam will also attend as observers.

The above quotes are from the Australian Government News. The comments in brackets are mine. 19 nations and 35,000 personnel wasting their time and money in an exercise conceived by the Americans to attack China in a kinetic war. Everyone knows what this exercise is all about. No country that participated in this exercise can claim to be ignorant of the intent and purpose of the exercise and which country is the enemy to be attacked.

Malaysia and Vietnam just went as observers, did not want to be complicit as hostile parties against China. Some little Pacific countries joined by coercion, could not say no to the Americans.

By participating in a military exercise aimed at attacking China, the countries are as good as saying they will join the Americans should they start a war with China. It cannot be otherwise. 35,000 military personnel and all the warships and weapons can be easily turned into an attacking force in a real war. This is not playing house like little innocent children. This is playing a very dangerous and aggressive war game. The participants of this anti China wargame has taken sides against China, willingly or unwillingly. They can be sure that their names are in China's enemy list and the score would have to be settled one day.

Thankfully China is well prepared for such an eventuality. All the warships would be sitting ducks to the PLA and be sunk before they know what is happening. The Houthis have shown that it can be easily done. The Chinese hypersonic missiles, satellite and laser technologies are far more advanced and deadly than what the Americans and the West can envisioned.

This kind of wargames is good for WW2 but totally irrelevant in modern warfare with modern technology, like the Indians waiting for a dogfight with the Pakistanis without knowing that the Pakistanis are taking them for target practice from a distance, with snipers in the sky.

This is how outdated and obsolete are American weapons, doctrines, thinking and war strategies. Many silly countries are still willing to be the running dogs of the Americans and want to join the Americans in an American war against China when China is their major trading partners, not their enemies. Some even happily execute the American's anti China propaganda in their national media daily, thinking that they can get away with it because they have their American masters behind their backs.

Tariff is a new growth sector for Trump

I would not be so sure about the USA economy not declining especially in the Chip manufacturing sector. Intel is now still cutting jobs, saying that it is correcting manufacturing missteps, which can mean anything. Overinvesting is something they do not want to disclose for sure. It is too painful to think about.
Samsung was more upfront regarding its reluctance to expand further in the USA, citing the lack of a bigger market to absorb the increase production resulting from further investments, meaning that it is losing market beyond just China, to put it nicely. Actually, Samsung has only a small market share in China, so the problem is more widespread regarding demand than just pointing to China alone. Of course, we are not the experts and only their words matter. We are just mere mosquitoes buzzing nonsense.

Chips is no longer the talking point. Even if the chips war has failed, the USA will not want to talk further about it. What has been built and invested by TSMC, Samsung and Intel is dead and buried and cannot be expected to be recouped. So does all the subsidies thrown at the problem.

Tariff is the talking point, the beginning of a new growth sector, LOL. Well, countries are still eager and willing to build bridges that will bypass the USA, and not all those tariffs imposed will necessarily contribute to Trump's coffers. It is still left to be seen how countries navigate the treacherous waters set up by Trump. I believe they will find a way, just like Russia and everyone else sanctioned by the USA and the Anglo-Saxon clique. This is not a world centered on the USA alone. This is becoming a world where there is BRICS and a Global South playing a bigger game than just fixated on the USA alone.

AI illiterate Trump plans to win the AI war

President Donald Trump marked the plan's release with a speech where he laid out the stakes of the technological arms race with China, calling it a fight that will define the 21st century.

"America is the country that started the AI race. And as president of the United States, I'm here today to declare that America is going to win it," Trump said.

The plan, which includes some 90 recommendations, calls for the export of US AI software and hardware abroad as well as a crackdown on state laws deemed too restrictive to let it flourish, a marked departure from predecessor Joe Biden's "high fence" approach that limited global access to coveted AI chips....

Michael Kratsios, head of the Office of Science and Technology Policy, told reporters on Wednesday the departments of Commerce and State will partner with the industry to "deliver secure full-stack AI export packages, including hardware models, software applications and standards to America's friends and allies around the world". CNA

The AI Revolution is not something that a nitwit AI illiterate like Trump can appreciate fully, let alone wanting to take charge in this war and to win. So far Trump has been doing everything his little mind came up with to destroy the AI industry, killing the manufacturers of high end chips and chasing away the top AI talents from the USA.

The key elements in a successful AI development are the big manufacturers of the high end chips which include all the top hardware engineers, the top software AI engineers, developers and designers, and the creative talents of innovators to exploit the power of both software and hardware available. Huge financing is a given.

And who is American fighting against in this race? The very people, the talents that Trump and his rogues in Washington are attacking and trying to put down, the Chinese. The top manufacturers of high end chips that are needed in this revolution are Chinese, in America and in China. Big names like TSMC, Nvidia, AMD, Qualcomm, SMIC, Huawei are all Chinese, run by top ethnic Chinese engineers. The only exception is ASML. Unfortunately, Trump has been working very hard in his silly and unthinking policies to kill these companies. ASML is a goner by now with China leapfrogging ahead with new chip making processes and machinery.

AMD, Qualcomm, TSMC and Nvidia are losing their market shares in China and soon in the world. The big squeeze and ban on these companies to sell their products in China have forced China to accelerate in its pursuit to be independent and self sufficiency in high end chips. And China is nearly there. Thanks to the nitwit Trump. Very soon, China will have no need to buy from any of these American based companies. Not only that China will be self sufficient, it will develop better and more advanced chips and flood the world market to out compete against the American based companies.

As for software development and applications, the Chinese talents are among the best and most innovative in this field, both in China and in the US. It is a battle between the Chinese talents in the US and China. With Trump's aggressive racist policies against the Chinese talents in America, many will find it untenable and dangerous to remain in the US and would return to China, to hollow up the talent pool in America.

Trump can then hope to rely on the second best in the industry, the Indians to compete with the Chinese talents...in both hardware and software developments. Nitwit Trump is declaring himself the winner just when the war is starting. Trump will win by simply bragging and blowing his horns. The verdict is already clear for all to see. Bragging and wishful thinking and bad policies can never win this high tech war that needs real talents, not talents that lie and cheat with words and sophistry.

AI cannot exists in a vaccum. It needs the complements of 5G/6G communication networks. It needs satellites as well. And Beidou system is miles ahead of the ageing American GPS. In these two areas, the Americans are slipping behind by the day, no way of catching up, with all the money spent on wars and paying debt.

And who are the Americans going to sell their overpriced hundreds of billions AI networks to? China? China would be the biggest buyer, with the deep pockets to pay for them. But as usual, the Americans would not want to sell to their biggest customer, China. Neither would China want to buy from the Americans. China will have better and cheaper systems and will be selling to the rest of the world.

Who then would be there to buy overpriced American AI systems when they can get better and cheaper systems from China, clean and efficient systems, without all the spying and monitoring programmes embedded by the Americans to pose a security risk? And with all the silly and mischievous conditions attached?

The AI War is a war of hard sciences and technical expertise. The winners would not be the smooth talkers without substance. A wrong circuit, a bad circuit, a wrong and badly written software would be a wrong and a very serious mistake that would multiply and bring the whole house down. This is a war of precision engineering and programmes, not wishy washing, a little mistake here and there never mind.  There is no room for a single error, no matter how minor it is.

Modi is the type of talents Trump and his team will be relying on to fight this AI War. All talks of grandeurs, fantasies, the best in the world, but without the real army of talents to make it happened, like in India. Modi is now looking like a proud peacock strutting around in a debris infested slum, with nothing to show except empty promises and bragging rights.

Trade war is not easy to win, even with lies and cheating. The AI War cannot be won by cheating and half baked talents with fake degrees and qualifications. With the nitwits and clowns around him, there is no way that Trump is going to win this war of real talents. Trump can talk and brag like Modi, and win this war with words and lies and misinformation using in the media and twitting.

Von der Leyen bitches in Beijing and was shown the door

Von der Leyen led a delegation to Beijing despite not being invited. Her hostility towards China is well known and getting more intense by the day. Xi had shown his displeasure by cancelling his summit with EU in Brussel and cutting short the meeting to just one day, to be led by Li Qiang instead. Xi's displeasure apparently has been ignored by von der Leyen. On the excuse of the 50 year EU China relationship, she gatecrashed into Beijing for a photo op with Xi.

Yes, this visit by her delegation has nothing substantive or meaningful to talk about. The agenda and intent were anything but friendly. China knew but played the gracious host, abiding by all the diplomatic protocol for the delegation. Xi took the opportunity to lecture the EU delegation on what is good relations and gave them a choice to be friends or enemies. The meeting was shortened by half an hour when the visitors were adamant to be rude, demanding China to stop supporting Russia.

As expected, after the meeting with Xi and Li Qiang, the EU held a press briefing and had to say they raised the issue of human rights, a standard procedure of the West to slap China. They raised this in Brussel that infuriated Xi. After decades of provocations using human rights, Taiwan, Tibet and Xinjiang, China has had enough. No unfriendly foreign delegations would be allowed to raise such topics in meeting with Chinese delegations, especially in China, or would be shown the door.

This was exactly what China did to the von der Leyen delegation. They arrived in the morning, had their meeting and told to fly back in the evening. China did not even offer them dinner, not going to waste public money and sharing good food with swine. The message was clear. Rude, uncouth and uncivilised visitors would not be entertained in China. Do not try to talk bad about China, meddle with China's domestic affairs in China. Period.

If von der Leyen and Antonio Costa did not get the message and continue to want to mess around with China, this would be their last visit to China. This is the same message that China is sending to scoundrel Trump. No invitation to China, no good food and no good wine. These are deserved for friends and honourable guests of China, invited by China.

Small or weaker countries can defeat much stronger country in wars

It is not so hard to believe that a smaller or a weaker country cannot always defeat a much stronger country in a war. History has proven it is a myth cooked up by the believe in the propaganda that might will always turn out victorious.

We have to look no further than the Vietnam War, with the USA's superiority in everything, from aerial domination, to weapons, to number of combatants on the ground supplemented by the South Vietnamese, the South Koreans and yet not being able to eke out a victory. The USA even used chemical weapons to help it fight the war and yet was at the losing end. Who can believe that? Of course, North Vietnam had the support of China and Russia during that war. Added to that was the tenacity and refusal to submit attitude of the North Vietnamese that resulted in final victory.

Then, there was Afghanistan, without the backing of China or Russia to speak of but still managing to turn the 20 year-long war to its favor, with no aerial support to speak of, not even a proper army. The Taliban were basically farmers, carrying small arms, but big enough to fight a much bigger and stronger enemy. Tenacity and resoluteness to defeat the enemy was instrumental in all battles.
