China Malaysia relations sabotaged by mischievous flag incident

Xi Jinping's visit to Malaysia was a new milestone in the relations between the two countries. Xi calling it as another 50 golden years. Anwar and the Agong also have similar expectations. What was unexpected was the Malaysian flag being misrepresented in Sin Chew Daily and Kwong Wah Yit Poh. The absence of the crescent cannot be a simple error. No one in Malaysia can miss it. Not a reporter, not the chief editor or dep chief sub editor. These are professional news makers and would not make such an atrocious error that would sabotage the good relations between China and Malaysia. Worse, two dailies were involved. How could this be a mistake, an oversight, an error?

Malaysians are angry. The Agong is angry for good reasons. They must get to the bottom of this mischievous incident. No one that wants China Malaysia relations to progress and get better would want this incident to happen. It is likely the black ops conducted by anti China elements that want to create trouble for China and Malaysia, to create discord and incite hatred and anger among the Malaysians against China. It may even result in ethnic strife.

Who are the likely masterminds behind this incident?  The answer is quite obvious. Only two countries are likely to be behind this fiasco, Taiwan and the USA.

The Malaysian govt must conduct a thorough investigation and fish out the provocateurs and punish them severely. An apology is not enough as the intent and agenda of this mischievous incident could create so much mistrust and anger in the Malaysians against China. The losers would be both Malaysia and China if this is not handled sensitively and intelligently leading to a souring of relations between China and Malaysia, between Malaysians and Chinese and Malaysian Chinese.

International relations are getting more difficult with the American terrorists sowing discord and mistrust all over the world with their black ops.

Seismic shift ...Singapore creeping out of the American clutches?

Singapore's pro American stance has stood the test of time after having benefitted from the largesse of the Brits and then the Americans for being friendly to these two AngloSaxon empires. The British rule did not result in too much bad blood partially because there were too few natives to fight a war of independence, and the Americans out of political necessity during a turbulent time of its early days as a young nation. Singapore grew up in an era of western dominance and naturally its western educated leaders found it easier to forge a closer relation with the West.

The rise of China did not create too much conflict of interests despite Singapore having a large Chinese population. It was expected that the Chinese majority would want a closer relation with China because of ethnic and cultural affinity. But the western educated political elite, both the Chinese and non Chinese, have a greater say and stick to their pro western policies to the extent of providing access to military facilities to the Americans to the ire of China.

The Anglophiles went to the extent of parroting American narratives that were anti China, even openly claiming that China was coercing and trying to influence Singapore's policies, forcing Singapore to take sides, when the truth was that the Americans were the ones forcing and often dictating Singapore's foreign policy positions. The main media is still publishing negative news about China, giving an unfavourable slant to everything happening in China.

In the last few weeks, speeches by Hsien Loong and Lawrence Wong had taken a different twist. This is about the first time in Singapore's history that the govt officially took a hard stance against what the Americans are doing, in particular on the indiscriminate and bullying tariff wars. Singapore's position in the Gaza Genocide is also shaping up firmly in favour of Palestine, a very difficult position to take in view of Singapore's past relations with Israel. Singapore cannot ignore the sentiments of its Muslim population and Muslim neighbours, Malaysia and Indonesia, to keep turning a blind eye to the genocide against the Palestinians.

In view of the American trade war against China and the rest of the world, MFA conveniently was left in the cold, not to speak a word. It was left to Hsien Loong and Lawrence Wong to do all the talking.  In a way, these are signs that a seismic shift in Singapore's foreign policies vis a vis China and the USA is in the making. Thanks or no thanks to the gangsters in Washington, Singapore must be under tremendous constant pressure from the rogue regime that it has to speak out and defend its neutral position for its own national interests. To continue to bow to the Americans' dictate and become more anti China and anti Russia ie anti Global South, are no longer in Singapore's interests.

Singapore's first big blunder was its sanction against Russia, a stark position against Asean's common stand, and the consequences are too much to bear and would take a long time to repair. Singapore is now steering precariously in a new direction but likely to be scratched left and right as it moves along. The Americans would want to control Singapore's foreign policies especially against China.  Lawrence Wong would be under great pressure from the Americans to behave and do the American bidding. How successful is Singapore in charting a new course in its foreign policies in the face of the aggressive and coercive Americans against China would be a big test on Singapore, and on Lawrence Wong's toughness to stay neutral and independent. This is likely to be the biggest challenge to Singapore and Lawrence Wong's premiership. Singapore must constantly be aware of American terrorists conducting regime change when it suits them.

Rogue Trump and his gangsters are not easy to deal with. The ugliness and heavy handed American operators would not leave Singapore alone to be neutral for sure, and this would come out into the open. The pro American Anglophiles cannot go on to lie about how nice and friendly the American gangsters are and put the blame on China, the victim of American aggression and oppression. All the aggression, coercion to force Singapore to take sides was done by the Americans, not China.

Deranged Trump needs to see a shrink. 245% tariff? Xi, please call me, please call me.

As Trump gets more anxious and not having elicited a call from Xi, he is raving mad and raising the tariffs to 245% on Chinese goods. Trump is really going over the edge.

China knows this is a meaningless figure and academic, as any tariff above 100% will raise prices to double and products are not going to be saleable anymore. This is as good as forcing China not to sell anything to the USA at all, which China is going to oblige. China has already made up its mind to de-couple completely from the USA and is ready for it. Who is going to suffer more? USA consumers of course, with no alternatives to turn to. Chinese manufacturing has the alternative to sell to the Global South and BRICS countries.

According to a survey carried out at the World's largest wholesale market, the Yiwu Market, with 80,000 shops where it was claimed it will take a shopper three years to visit every shop inside at 5 minutes per shop, the mood was totally calm and collected, with vendors hardly fazed by the tariffs. Most vendors brushed aside the tariffs and are not unduly worried about losing the USA market. Most are saying that it is just a matter of shifting sales to other markets outside the USA. That is how confident these Chinese businesspeople are, where overcoming setbacks is built into their DNA.

In some countries, a few days of rain ruining business will result in complaints and soliciting for help. You know what I mean?

Boeing going bankrupt. Huge landing fees for Boeing aircraft in Chinese airports

China is telling its aviation sector to stop taking delivery of Boeing planes. This is a very significant move, hitting at the belly of the USA technological sector.

Why is China doing this and what makes China so confident of its attempt to ditch reliance on Boeing? With the EU now pivoting towards China, Airbus will undoubtedly be salivating this move by China. Things are really taking a sharp turn especially over as important a sector as aviation. China is a big market for Boeing, with 25% of its business supplying planes to China aviation sector. This is going to be a big loss for Boeing.

Domestically, China is selling its own planes to its own airlines operating inside China. Airbus will be needed to cater to the global sector, for the time being.

In anticipation of Trump going after China in the maritime sector with levies being on the cards on Chinese built ships, would China be considering doing a levy on Boeing planes landing on Chinese airports in retaliation. How many airlines do not have Boeing planes on its fleet? China has many cards to play with to counter the USA.

In passing, I was wondering why the Russians are not leveraging on its aviation sector as the Russians have the expertise and numerous plane makers who are able to build their own planes and fighter jets. Brazil is another country that has an aviation sector but playing a minor role in global aviation. This is their time to grow, with China giving a helping hand in orders.

Trump painted himself into a corner. Any leader calling him is kissing his ass. Who wants to call him?

Trump is losing his sanity not being able to force Xi to give him a call to negotiate, which he will later be using to boast that Xi backed down and also has to kiss his arse like everyone else. No joke, he will twist it to his benefit as all other USA clowns are also doing.

The irony is that the sycophants in Trump's administration are, like him, still boasting that Xi will have to come to the negotiating table at 'some point in time'. In the meantime, Trump is now about to backtrack on tariffs for the Auto Industry in the USA, which needed parts from trade partners. Xi does not need to negotiate, as Trump will be backtracking day after day.

On the other hand, Trump wants to end tariff exemption on pharmaceuticals, which will decimate big Pharma that depended largely on China for the raw materials and ingredients needed for the manufacture of drugs. Big Pharma in USA had been making obscene big money on drugs sourced from China, rebranded and resold at huge profits in the USA. Big Pharma had been ripping off USA citizens and the rest of the world for decades and this might just wake them up. Perhaps this will really tell USA citizens to take action regarding the high cost of healthcare in the USA.

It would have been a distant possibility and hope by the USA about negotiating with China, but that mindless comment by Trump about countries going to 'kiss his arse' is humiliation on top of injury, destroying all possibility of Xi calling him now. Further, the equally mindless comment by J. G. Vance of the USA borrowing money from 'Chinese peasants' to buy products made by them is the straw that broke the camel's back.

Now the joke is on the USA, with the Chinese making videos using AI to hit back. There were many such videos flooding social media, with one showing Trump, Musk, Vance and other administration officials working in a shoe factory busily handling shoes. Another video shows Trump sewing garments in a factory, looking glum. Others show big fat USA workers sewing clothes in a garment factory. I could not help laughing at the ingenuity of the Chinese vloggers. This is what bringing manufacturing back to the USA is all going to be about, but that is just for laughs. The reality is that job creation is just not going to happen, as automation and robotics partnering AI have already replaced humans in factories in China and the EU.
