The Americans and Japanese are hugging and kissing each other openly, like two great lovers missing each other. Is this real? How much love have the Japanese for the Americans and vice versa?
Since the day when American pirate, Commodore Perry kicked open the door of Tokyo in 1853 with his 4 gunboats, the seed of hate for the Americans was planted. The seed continued to grow with the Americans bullying and bossing over the Japanese, controlling their trade and finally the restricting the supply of oil that Japan badly needed. This culminated with the sneaky attack on Pearl Harbour, sinking the might of America's Pacific naval fleet and killing more than 3,000 American sailors half asleep after a Christmas Party, half drunk and unaware of why bombs were falling over their heads.
The furious Americans vowed revenge, to exact a heavier punishment on the sneaky Japanese. They fought the Japanese from island to island in the western Pacific Ocean and finally dropping two Atomic Bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, an act that was unnecessary as Japan was already defeated. But the Americans needed to do it to the Japanese for Pearl Harbour, also to experiment on their newfound weapon, They chose Japan over Germany, a squint eye yellow peril. The rest is history.
Japan was conquered and overran, completely disarmed unconditionally. Emperor Hirohito almost became a war criminal if not of a devillish deal in exchange for all the cruel chemical and biological weapon data from Unit 731. Japan, the proud Japanese Empire of the Rising Sun, became a colony of the American Empire, till today. The Americans placed many military bases in Japan to make sure it would have full control of this has been Empire, fearing that the Japanese would rise again to avenge their defeat in the American hands. The deal, in case of war, the Japanese armed forces would come under the command of the Americans. This applies to the armed forces of the colony of South Korea as well.
The blood debt and humiliation by the Americans cannot be measured in kind, in the psyche of a proud and once Japanese Empire. But the Japanese continue to bow and bow in front of the Americans, biding their time. The time has come. Americans need cannon fodder to deal with China. Ukraine is not enough, India is not enough, Philippines is not enough. What can be better than rearming the beast to take on China. Caveat, must ensure that the leash is firmly in the hands of the Americans. Any mistake or negligence, the beast would bite back real hard on the Americans, the only country that inflicted so much pain and suffering and humiliation on the proud Japanese.
In the meantime, put up a pretence of humility and acquiescence, not to arouse any suspicion from the Americans, play along, rearm, remilitarise and wait for the day to come. And the Americans are happily telling the Japanese to rearm. So more hugging and kissing to show the Americans how loving and appreciating Japan is to the American kindness.
This marriage of convenience between the conquered and the ruler is a perfect macabre relationship being staged for the world to see. Both are 'deeply in love' with each other and will do whatever for the other, even to die for each other. The Americans have forgotten about Pearl Harbour, or at least for the moment. The Japanese have forgotten about Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They even invited the Americans to celebrate the bombings annually held in the two cities. The Americans that massacre several hundred civilian Japanese were the guests of honour, the VIPs in the ceremony. The Japanese are so polite and would bow and bow in front to their American rulers, the latest, in front of Austin.
