JOHANNESBURG: China's leader Xi Jinping told African leaders at a meeting on the sidelines of the BRICS summit on Thursday (Aug 24) that China would launch initiatives to support Africa's industrialisation and agricultural modernisation.
"China will better harness its resources for cooperation with Africa and initiatives of businesses to support Africa in growing its manufacturing sector and realising industrialisation and economic diversification," Xi said without providing details.
Xi's pledge was made as the BRICS Summit wrapped up, during a meeting with leaders and ministers from the African Union and 11 African countries including Libya, Nigeria, Senegal and Zambia. CNA
The first phase of the modernisation of Africa is near completion, or at least a major part of the infrastructure and ports have been built. There are still many more roads and rails to be built over the years. The next phase is industrialisation of Africa. China has gone through these phases in its own development and has first hand experience on how to proceed to help Africa to modernise. And China is at the right spot to do so as it moves on towards the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Many of China's industries, especially the more labour intensive industries can be transplanted into Africa.
The calls of Africa is heard in Beijing and Xi has answered. African states do not have to reinvent the wheel. China has the blue prints, fresh from the oven, to assist Africa, with the technology and financial resources. African states or the African Union should work closely with China to come up with a comprehensive industrial plan for the whole of Africa. Many industrial parks can be built across Africa.
But Africa still has some internal problems to clean up, ie independence from the West, expelling western military bases and soldiers, to create a land of peace and security for economic development and industrialisation. If the western wolf packs are not gotten rid off, including the mercenaries and contractors, China's army of technical staff and construction workers would face great difficulties in their work and safety like what we are seeing in some parts of Africa and Pakistan. The western gangsters would not allow the Chinese investors and workforce to work in peace. The western mercenaries would make sure the Chinese would not be able to complete their work, would disrupt what the Chinese intent to do for Africa.
Security and safety of Chinese assets, investments and personnel are top priorities as Africa embarks on its journey to become an industrialised continent, to develop and improve the lives of its people. China will play its parts as friends of Africa. Africa must play its part to make Africa safe and the environment conducive for economic development and the building of many industrial parks in every African state.
Below is a quote,
'David Monyae, director of the University of Johannesburg's Centre for China Africa studies, said that with over-capacity in China it made sense for companies to move factories to Africa, adding that many were already doing well in industrial zones in Ethiopia and Kenya.
"They're moving fast, they're ready, they have the capital and the skills. They are first movers anyway," he said.' RT
China is already doing what is expected in many parts of Africa. Now is the moment to expand these efforts all over Africa in a systematic and organised way. Africa can look forward to be transformed into the next growth centre of the world in the coming decades and centuries. Africa does not need to be poor and be oppressed and exploited by the white men forever if they get their acts right, have good nationalist leaders to lead their countries and people, in the interest of state and Africans. By the way, China is collaborating with Egypt's Space Organisation in satellite and space technology to explore space.
Caveat, the evil white men would be hiding around the corner waiting to devour and destroy Africa and to keep Africa forever poor and hapless and be controlled by them.
