The above are two maps of the BRI and the very earth shaking India, ME, EU Corridor. The Indians and the Americans are using their megaphones to scream to the world that the Biden Modi Mirage is to challenge Xi's BRI. And their gloating all over G20 that this is a game changer and China's BRI is in trouble because of this impressive challenge. Really?
The India, ME, EU Corridor starts from the port of Mumbai, leaps to the port in UAE. From there it cuts across Saudi Arabia to Israel. Then from the Israeli port it leaps to the Greece port Piraeus. And then it joins the BRI's rail link into Europe. What is new?
Lets see what the construction of this Corridor involves. The first leg, Mumbai to UAE port. The two ports are already existing, so is the shipping route. Nothing to build, just a statement of fact. The second leg, from UAE port to Israeli port across the Saudi desert. This is new, to build a high speed train across the desert. Who should build this high speed train track and infrastructure? India, Japan or the USA? The USA would need 30 years to build such a train system. Japan would want the contract but would they do the same as they did in India and Vietnam? Maybe India is a better bet?
The third leg, from Israelis port to Piraeus port is the same as from Mumbai port to UAE port, already existing and nothing to build, only to talk as if it is something new.
The final leg from Piraeus to Europe would be like rejoining China's BRI. Piraeus is a Greek port with China as a majority shareholder. And China has already developed the infrastructure from the port to Europe. So what is there to build?
So, is this Corridor a game changer or Mirage? What is there to transport from India across the Saudi desert to Europe and vice versa? Indian labourers?
How many countries are involved in this grand scheme of Biden and Modi? How is it to challenge Xi's BRI?
Please understand the limitation of India as it cannot build a road or rail through Pakistan in the West, not through Bangladesh and Myanmar in the East, not to China in the North. India is an island of sort unless it builds bridges over Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar or the Himalayas. Oops, India does not want to go to China. What about a bridge across the sea from Mumbai to UAE with a high speed train travelling on it and then another bridge from the port in Israel to the port of Piraeus? On the other hand China is building trains into Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, Nepal, Central Asia states and Russia, with Vietnam begging China to take over the failed Japanese train project.

G7 and G20 are going to join the dinosaurs in time to come. Will other leaders in BRICS take the hint from Xi?
Many
are saying that Xi's non attendance at the G20 speaks louder and sends a
more defining message to the G20, than if he were actually to attend.
It spells the low esteem of what he really thinks of the G20, with all
members of the G7 inside the grouping as well.
Again it will be
no more than a gathering of weasels for a photoshoot to take home. This
is exactly what the Africans said about their attendance in Washington
during the United States - African leaders meeting held last year,
hosted by Joe Biden. Each African leader was reported to be given just
five minutes to talk. I would think they only had time to say hello,
introduced themselves without enough time to say goodbye.
By the
way, silly Joe is still unashamedly thinking of wanting to meet Xi
soon, while Xi is losing interest in talking to him and wants to avoid
seeing him. Xi will not give an invitation to Biden now, that is for
sure. Biden may lie that he was invited, like Blinken before him.
Do
we also know that Indonesia just shamed the Pentagon for issuing a
'fake' joint statement together with Indonesia, condeming Russia and
vilifying China, which Indonesia's Defence Minister had to come out
strongly to expose the lie, saying that Indonesia has good relations and
mutual understading with China, and is establishing good friendship
with Russia as well. That statement was done without Indonesia's
knowledge and is without basis.
That the USA could openly lie
like this and dragging unsuspecting countries into its vile agenda just
boggles the mind. Yes, the Pentagon fabricates lies. However,
considering what they did with Iraq, it does not come as any surprise.
Calling the USA the 'Empire of Lies' is not a misinformation nor a
disinformation. It is the gospel truth.

Reading some of the comments by tech geeks, this Huawei
phone is putting the USA in an uncomfortable state of mind, indicating
the failure of the sanctions imposed by the USA and its allies on
Huawei. I am not tech savy, so please bear with me if I am wrong on
points.
The launch of this phone was strangely without fanfare or
prior announcement, which is a big surprise, so much so that even so,
demand outstripped availability by a wide margin, with millions queuing
with orders. It certainly took the visiting USA Commerce Secretary by
surprise and some measure of trepidation, by seeing this phone launched
during her visit. Co-incidence?
Three outstanding features of
this phone were highlighted. First was that this phone could have direct
linkage to satellite communications without a ground base station,
which was already a feature in the previous Mate 50. How advance was
that?
The second most important feature, to have been
incorporatated in the phone was the use of Huawei's own Kirin 9000 7 nm
chipset, which some even suggested was more like a suspected 5nm
chipset. This may still be a little behind Apple's and Samsung's new
release, but in a test for speed, it still beat the competition.
This
stunning revelation indicates that Huawei, in co-operation with SMIC
suspectingly, had already been able to develop, for commercial
application, its 7nm chipsets. So, those Western doomsayers cannot say
Huawei is just bluffing in its development of higher end chips.
Experts
are of the opinion that those Kirin chips used could not have come
about with TSMC's help or co-operation, knowing TSMC is snugly in bed
with the USA and had already been warned by the USA against supplying or
producing high end Kirin chips for Huawei. The other possibility of
Samsung having links to its development is even more remote, and is
practically highly unlikely as well, with Samsung itself a competitor in
the mobile phone sector against Apple and Huawei. Moreover, Samsung
itself had been warned earlier against filling the void left by TSMC and
Micron in China. Therefore those chips could only have been developed
and made by Chinese companies themselves, which signifies the rapid
progress of Chinese chip makers.
The other point worthy of
highlight was the outstanding performance of the four cameras on the
phone, which I am not capable of talking about.
Another equally
important aspect of the Huawei Mate 60 phone was that it will come
pre-installed with Huawei's self developed software, Harmony 4.0, an
operating system totally its own, with all Android codes being
discarded. It is also interesting to note that since Huawei's divorce
from the Android, the Android system had been stagnating with no new
developments, which in the past had all come from Huawei's valuable
input.
