BRICS 22-24 Aug 23 - Independence Day

 The 15th BRICS Meeting in South Africa is closely watch by the whole world, by the West headed by the Americans and the Global South with great hopes and expectation that freedom and independence from the control and oppression of the white men has finally arrived. On this day, BRICS would be making decision on the inclusion of new members, dedollarisation and a new financial and banking system free from the American controlled and abused SWIFT system.

With high expectation on how these developments would change and transform the world, the American propaganda machine has been working overtime churning news about internal disagreement in the BRICS founding members, with some opposing expansion of membership, against the introduction of a new currency, bickering and with India being tagged as the spoiler to stop the progress of BRICS in all three proposals.

BRICS is the hope of the Global South as their own club, a club to look after and protect their interest from the West. A club to give them more freedom to trade and to make their own decision on economic development and international relations. The strength of BRICS is thus in its membership. The bigger the membership, the stronger would be BRICS to stand up against western bullying and coercion. No one among the founding members can be so blind to oppose the expansion of BRICS membership. The spurious talks about limiting membership, allowing only a small handful of new members are against the interest of BRICS. 

BRICS cannot act and behave like G7, a private club of a few select western states. If BRICS is to head the same way, to be the exclusive club of a few from the Global South, BRICS would fail in its mission as the champion of the rest of the world. BRICS must be expansive and inclusive, and welcoming to all the Global South countries to be members. BRICS is not just the hope of the Global South, but also the representative of the Global South to free themselves from western domination and control. The talks about only admitting 3 or 4 members in August is self defeating. BRICS must open its door widely to welcome one and all from the Global South that want to be a member. BRICS must not forget what it stands for and behave like an exclusive club for a few select countries. It would fail if it does not live up to the expectation that it represent the Global South.

The August Meeting could change the world. More membership, a new banking and finance system, a new international currency, would free the Global South from the West. It would breathe a new life to the countries of the world. It would be a new Independence Day for the Global South. BRICS founding members must be clear in what BRICS stood for and let the common good of the Global South drive the organisation and play down on minor selfish interest for the greater good. Any serious division and disagreement would spell the doom of BRICS. BRICS would become another still born child, before it could even learn to walk.

The whole Global South is awaiting the arrival of an enlarged and strong BRICS to set them free from the West and American hegemony. BRICS is the great non White Hope of the Global South. If it fails to deliver what it promises in South Africa, it would quash the hopes and expectation of the rest of the Global South. The founding members of the BRICS must put their differences aside for the good of BRICS and the Global South. 

India aspires to be the leader of the Global South. Would it derail the BRICS train and crash it when the BRICS train is just starting to gain speed pushing ahead? Would India behave as the spoiler in BRICS as reported by the western media, to act as an agent of the Americans and the West, to kill BRICS and its ambition to be the leading Club of the developing Global South? Should India act as an American agent to stop BRICS from doing what it wants, it would be a crime against the Global South. The other founding members must be prepared for such a development and to take out India should India become the main obstacle in its path. The founding members of BRICS must prepare and be ready to act when this happens in South Africa and not an after thought, an after event to be left pondering after a failed Summit.

The BRICS Summit in August cannot fail and must not fail.

Asian prophet on decline of US and rise of China - Part 2

 

29 minutes of prophecy in the early 2000s coming true. From the mouth of a Singaporean prophet. Dedollarisation, unstoppable printing of the dollars, loss of confidence of the greenback, rise of China, Europe's migrant problems, failure of the Philippines to act on his recommendation, etc etc etc. His final message in the last minute, Singapore will spiral down very quickly due to bad leadership.

India bans Chinese imports, to use Make In India products

 I just came across this report that India is banning the import of laptop computers from China, to force its citizens to use Indian made ones. India accounts for just 3% of China's export of laptop computers and the Chinese are not duly worried nor protesting. The only people duly concerned are the Indian students and general public themselves, who feared having to pay more now for Indian laptops.

The other obvious outcome of how really stupid this decision is, stems from the fact that Indian laptop computer makers/assemblers still have to source most of their parts from China, as India does not have that level of supply chain availability compared to China. China could just increase the prices of those parts to compensate for the 3% sales disruption by India. This is no different from Apple, still having to depend on China for iPhone parts for its assembly plant in India. That will add to the cost of those iphones produced in India. Same with those laptops. Who is going to pay for it? Just like Trump increasing tariffs on Chinese products. Who is paying for it?

China's position today is not the result of depending on sweet talk and false hopes with help from heaven, but took decades of building up from scratch. That China thinks long term is no idle boast. What China wants to do in ten or twenty years time, they start planning today, acquiring the necessary resources, set up the facilities and stick to its guns, no matter what others think. Solar panels was one example that the USA and the West had generated tons of negative reports, demonising and laughing at the foolishness of the Chinese bet, but today they are not laughing anymore. China is today the biggest manufacturer of solar panels. Same with EVs that Trump was demonising just a couple of years ago. Now, who is betting against it? Apart from Tesla, every vehicle maker is playing catchup.

Some Indian analyst are telling the Indian Government - learn from China. But of course that call is definitely against the Indian mentality and falling on deaf ears. India wants to follow the USA, using the same modus operandi of stifling foreign investments and preventing them from growing and be successful in India. So be it!

Control of maritime choke points

 One hypersonic missile at one end of the Suez Canal by Russia or Iran is all that is needed to end the sashaying by the USA using fleets of whatever number. Not that Russia or Iran will do it now, but these two countries will realistically do it when threatened, and they just do not just engage in idle talk.

The USA had harboured the hope of using its naval power to blockade the Suez and Panana Canals and Straits of Malacca, in the event of conflict with China. China or Russia need not even have to send even one warship to put paid to those intentions. Just one hypersonic missile will take care of that, cleanly, efficiently and casualty free.

Why is China exploring alternative land and sea routes and building pipelines for oil movements while still going around the Straits of Malacca? China is hedging its bets. The land routes are already now well entrenched, with the BRI railroads already linking Central Asia with Europe for trade. China is exploring and developing port facilites in Pakistan for transfering oil from the Middle East, going via Pakistan and/or Afghanistan by pipelines to Western China, not needing to depend on the Straits of Malacca. China is also actively exploring the feasibility of building the Kra Canal.

China and Russia are also exploring the sea passage through the Northern Artic sea. The effect of climate change makes the Northern Artic sea route more accessible today than previously. Moreover, Russian oil is being delivered to China via pipelines and totally within Russia and China's control. China already had anticipated all the issues and have taken steps to mitigate them.

The BRI was a masterstroke to build road and rail infrastructures and to recycle part of the US$ surpluses from trade with the USA. Instead of buying more USA treasuries and being held hostage in times of conflict, giving US$ loans to countries for infrastructure development to be repaid in Yuan is making the USA paranoid, nervous and hapless.

That the loans have been dispensed to countries all around the world gives the USA less leverage over China, and is a very astute move. China is not under any form of pressure fearing that those infrastructures will be seized by the USA, like most Russian assets, as infrastructures that China built in those countries do not belong to China.

Media War - Fake news and disinformation are the new truths in western media

 When they lost the media war, they resorted to banning those that spoke the truth, and who refused to follow the dictates of the powers that be, by not adhering to their propaganda which they espoused.

Scott Ritter has been reported to have been banned by Youtube for promoting 'hate speech'. The 'hate speech' template is another of those narratives they are now using to silence alternative voices that are gaining 'eyeballs' which they could not tolerate. 'Hate speech' is just like the 'National Security Issue' template that warrants no proving or necessary evidence, and provides a very wide scope for putting into practice. Every attempt to attack the opposition can be classifed loosely as 'national security issues' or 'hate speech'.

With the Ukraine War in a mess for the West, Scott Ritter will not be the only one being banned. Colonel MacGregor, the other war veteran, is also well followed on Youtube with his incisive, hard hitting and factually accurate analysis of the Ukraine War, and is a thorn in the side of the USA and the West. Others like Brian Belectic and Alexander Mercouris have migrated to alternative platforms to avoid being left in the lurch if banned by Youtube.

'Freedom of Speech' is all a farce taken at face value. When it is not to the advantage of those in power, they will stifle alternative voices, claiming all alternative voices as 'hate speech' or 'misinformation' or 'disinformation'.

Can anyone find any other instance where 'disinformation' is more immorally and criminally used than in starting the Iraq War? And who were the ones spreading those 'disinformation'? And what actions have been taken against those 'war criminals' that created the 'disinformation' to start an illegal war that killed millions?
