Pravin Sawhney - Why Jaishankar is Wrong on China

19 minutes of discussion by Indian analyst Pravin Sawhney on the Sino Indian border dispute at Doklam and why he disagreed with Jaishankar on who violated and did not honour agreements and the LAC. Jaishanker conveniently blamed everything on China by telling half truths. Pravin gave the whole picture of what really happened before China acted, telling how India started the process of violating the agreements and moving troops to the LAC first. When would the Indian govt face the truth and stop lying?

Below are a few comments on the video clip.

Any interview with Jaishankar, you can summarise as follows: India is an angel and will do no wrong.

@SanoRay 6 months ago (edited) Such an informative and educational insight! Thanks so much, Sir Pravin. As a Cambodian, I must also say that both India and China are time-tested century-old friends of Cambodia. Our most sincere desire is these two giants are in good sincere term with each others and cooperate with each other for the interest of people of both nations and the world. God bless India and God bless China, and God bless Cambodia. Amen.

A very important reality check of the situation on the Sino- Indian border contrary to the media reports.Situation has become much more complex and dangerous for India'

@zaffazad4040 6 months ago Thanks for doing an honest analysis, Dr. Sawhney. You are correct in calling Mr. Jayshankar's failure and untruthful statements. This man will leave his post in a couple of years, but the damage he has done will stay with the people of India for years to come. Therefore, there was no need for the August 5, 2019 action; Mr. Modi's shortsighted approach and Mr. Jayshankar and Mr. Doval's incompetence will cost India a couple of trillion dollars in the next three decades of misappropriating resources to support flawed policy.

India and China pursued different paths to development

India and China pursued different paths to development, starting from the same base line. India went for the service industries like call centres, computer programming, systems servicing, and an education system ill suited for manufacturing. China went the way of manufacturing and thankfully betted on the right horse. India is now trying to change horses in midstream, but lacks the right educated manpower to carry the burden.

China's education system made radical changes more then 30 years ago, focusing on producing scientists and engineers en masse. Not like the old system of producing scholars excelling in poetry and the art of Government. There was little need to produce highly rated politicians and scholars to run for office. It paid off handsomely, producing highly skilled engineers able to helm its manufacturing base and providing skilled manpower for its infrastructure needs.

Infrastructure is a paramount requirement for any country eager to develop fast, enabling industries to move raw materials from ports and finished products to ports for shipment to foreign destinations. Never underestimate the importance of infrastructure like roads, rails and ports for poorer countries to improve their economy. That is why countries in Africa and Latin America saw the need for infrastructure developments, which only China is able and willing to provide, with loans and engineers to carry out projects all in the house. No third party costs, LOL.

India would brag on every little success, real or fiction, But there are fools that would believe in India

A little success and it is always followed by so much bragging like real.

A little spike in investments and they already proclaimed that India is the next 'factory of the world' about to overtake China soon. And China is therefore collapsing soon. A little castle building by Biden that USA Chip Manufacturers will be investing in India, and suddenly India is taking over the chip manufacturing hub of the world. Biden can promise anything under the sun, but it is the people running the businesses that ultimately decide, with the bottom line answering to shareholders.

A few technology companies shifting production to India, like Apple, Wistron and Foxconnn, and overnight India became the destination of choice for iPhone manufacturers of the world and China is doomed. India suddenly does not need Xiaomi or BYD anymore and is kicking them out.

China is such a big country with tens or even hundreds of thousands of global companies having established business footholds and manufacturing facilites over there, and the movement of foreign companies out of China is to be expected, taking advantage of cheaper destinations like Bangladesh and Vietnam. Even China's domestic manufacturing in low end products have shifted to Bangladesh and Vietnam. Vietnam is now even doing more market oriented manufacturing in consumer products like printers, washing machines, refrigerators and even cars with many top manufacturers already there.

For India on the other hand, with such a narrow industrial base and unlikely to have the volume of foreign companies doing businesses there, it is in a more precarious position losing 2,783 foreign companies over the last seven years. But for some Indian news sites, China is still portrayed as in terminal decline, while India is rising - to the moon.

The presidential election is just a fuss

The presidential election is just a fuss.

Let's get real. The strict criterion adopted is already to ensure the favoured candidate will be elected come what come may. Having said that under such stiff criteria not even President Jokowi of Indonesia, President Dladimir Putin of Russia, President Anwar of Malaysia and President Xi Jing Ping of China are qualified to be presidents. And yet they are national figures of high calibre, of outstanding quality, of grest illuminating character of selflessness and great sincere devotion and delegation to serve their national interests with luminating fervour and patriotism. Can any of our functionary incumbent politicians measure up to any one of them? None at all. We have shown that the president and all the ministers and MPs and senior civil servants ( though not civil at all ) are nothing but eunuchs on puppet strings manipulating by a clownish damning puppeteer.

Our nation founding leaders like Lee Kuan Yew, Dr Goh Keng Swee, Lim Kim San, Rajaratnam, Hon Sui Sien, Dr Toh Chin Chye and Ong Pang Boon were also outstanding leaders who really devoted themselves to serve the people and the nation. Hope leaders of such high calibre and quality will return one day in the not too distant future to bring the nation around and to prevent foreigners of usurping power all over the island in either government or government linked bodies or linked companies.

A very worried citizen and fearsome for our future generations.

Niger - Sad day for Africa

African neighbors finalize Niger war plans
Nigeria-led ECOWAS says it is ready to intervene for “democracy” in Niamey

The militaries of several ECOWAS members have agreed on a plan for military intervention in Niger and are waiting for the final political decision, a senior official of the bloc said on Friday.

The Economic Community of West African States has already sanctioned the junta in Niamey over last week’s military coup and demanded the restoration of ousted president Mohamed Bazoum before Sunday. RT

While many African nationalist leaders are shouting for African unity and to be free from western colonialists, the French and the Americans are planning to invade Niger in the name of freedom and democracy. When that happens, Africa would be drawn into another unending war that the West and the Americans want. They are finding all reasons to start a war in Africa to destabilise the continent and keep them busy fighting, killing themselves and destroying their economies.

A few of Niger's neighbours have joined hands to stand together to fight the French and the Americans should they dare to invade Niger. This is bad enough, but not that bad as when other neighbouring African countries are also ganging up to invade Niger in the name of freedom and democracy. Freedom and democracy are the code words used by the Americans to intervene and invade countries to conduct regime change. Third world leaders are falling into the American/western trap, using freedom and democracy unthinkingly to justify meddling and interfering in another country's domestic affairs. Asean is doing exactly the same against Myanmar, acting like the white gods, thinking they are the saints and angels and wanting to tell Myanmese how to run their country.

If ECOWAS countries unthinkingly send in forces into Niger, Africa would be in flame and the Americans and the West would be most happy to lend support and sell their arms, even providing soldiers to do the fighting. Africa would be plunged into darkness in never ending wars. All the hopes of African unity, peaceful development and economic progress would be history. Would the wiser African leaders stand up and put a stop to wars in the African continent and stop killing each other to benefit the western colonialists waiting on the sideline, to return to colonise and rule Africa?

Myanmar is safe and protected from a silly Asean wanting to meddle with its domestic affairs and to destabilise Myanmar by having China on its side. Not sure if Niger and Africa have the good fortune to stop the schemers and provocateurs from succeeding in lighting a fire in Niger. Another hotbed is South Africa now that Victoria Nuland is there just prior to the BRICS Meeting. There are many American financed mercenaries in South Africa eagerly waiting for action and their pay checks. She can easily light a fire and South Africa too would be burning and in chaos. South Africa must be on full alert to prevent riotings and attacks by external forces to disrupt and even kill the BRICS Meeting. The possibility of hit squads assassinating BRICS leaders cannot be ruled out.
