The Indian Dilemma

The Indians are actually in two minds. As I always say, the Indians are playing one side against the other and hoping to have the cake and eat it. They always play the same game, which is why China is fortunate not to have the Indians in the BRI.

There are many things that shows the USA and the West are showing disdain for the Indians. Remember when evacuations were ongoing in Kabul airport when the USA was abandoning Afghanistan, the USA refused to allot a space for India to evacuate their citizens despite the Indian request. It was a slap on the face for India.

Then there was the attempt to bring down the Indian financial system with the attack on Adani by short seller, Hindenburg Research, and subsequent attack by George Soros, who must also be shorting the Indian market and Adani.

Then there was the BBC documentary that tried to demonise Modi over the Muslim issue. Sunak got his marble stuck between Modi and the BBC. He was paralysed and did nothing.

The German cartoon making fun of Indian Railways was the latest in attempts to denigrate the Indians. The subsequent apology serves no purpose, and they Indians are saying too little too late.

All these are moves discreetly, directly or indirectly, punishing or trying to pry apart the support of India towards Russia and it looks to be making some headway as some people have commented.

China and the world want Peace. The Americans want War.

China wants peace because its economy is based on production, infrastructure and trade. Peace means Chinese trains and ships can move around freely importing and exporting goods. Peace means Chinese engineers can build bridges and dams. Peace means Alibaba can get customers from Syria and Iraq.
On the other hand, the US engine is running on dollar vaporware, which can be sustained only by a Ponzi scheme, which needs a continuous supply of buyers for the fiat dollars the US central bank prints. Note the US government is not paying off its debt, and its national debt limit is always being raised to keep borrowing more to sustain government expenditure and debt interest payments.

Peaceful and prosperous countries are not going to buy US debt. They are going to trade in local currencies. They are going to create trade blocs like BRICS. (Note that vassal countries like Japan and South Korea are not “peaceful” since they are occupied by a foreign force).

A peaceful and prosperous Middle East will start selling oil for Yuan. Saudis will use oil profits to build futuristic cities (Neom) rather than buy US weapons.

Peaceful and prosperous countries will invest in colleges, R&D, manufacturing and technology. Soon they will be competing with US companies. Look at China over the last 40 years.

The US rose as a global power only because of WW1 and WW2. And winning the Cold War made the USA a hyper-power. Thus, the US foreign policy establishment is enamored with the concept of “war makes us glorious.” If remote wars can destroy China and Russia… without the US being attacked… then a full-spectrum American domination of the world will become a reality.

The American rules are full of hypocrisy and double-standards. For example, while the US glorifies sovereignty of Ukraine, there’s no sovereignty for Germany to buy natural gas from Russia, for the Netherlands (ASML) to sell semiconductor machines to China, for the UK to use Huawei’s 5G, for Italy to join the Belt and Road Initiative, or for the Solomon Islands to allow a Chinese naval port.

Every country must sacrifice its interests and commite economic suicide in order to prolong the life of the American Empire.

While the US constantly demonizes countries that don’t bow to the American Empire, if you draw a Venn diagram of all the troubled spots in the world, the intersection points to only one country: United States of America.

The only two countries that can stop the madness of the American tyranny are, of course, Russia and China. Putin and Xi Jinping are strategic thinkers with a lot of patience.

While there’s no formal military alliance between Russia and China, they will unite if the US/EU/NATO cross the red-line. The combined 7000+ Russia/China nukes and Chinese manufacturing are powerful insurance policy against total global domination by the Western white supremacists.

Asean did not interfere enough in Myanmar's domestic affair

The Asean Charter

Respect for the principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty, non-interference and national identities of ASEAN members. Promoting regional peace and identity, peaceful settlements of disputes through dialogue and consultation, and the renunciation of aggression.  Wikipedia

Asean's Charter is very specific about the principles of sovereignty and non interference in the domestic affairs of its members. Lately it seems that Asean has deleted the word 'non interference' in its Charter and is increasing meddling and poking its fingers into Myanmar's domestic affairs as if it has the right to do so, that it is on high moral ground, acting like the USA. The only difference is that it is not interfering enough, it has not asked for sanctions or boycott Myanmar or regime change. It has only disallowed Myanmar to attend Asean meeting.

This is no good. The Americans are displeased with Asean for not interfering enough. Asean should act boldly like the Americans if it wants to please the Americans and be invited to the White House for dinner. But before doing it, Asean might want to amend its Charter and remove the word 'non interference' so that it can do it without being accused of interfering into another member state's domestic affairs. As long as the word 'non interference' is in its Charter, then interfering in Myanmar's domestic affairs is a violation of its own Charter. Or is it that the Asean leader did not know how to read its Charter?

Who in Asean has been pushing Asean to meddle with Myanmar's internal affairs and acting like they are the white gods? Remember this quote from Vivian Balakrishnan,

"Finally, remember that a small nation is always vulnerable. Again, to repeat something I have said multiple times here, never let ourselves be a vassal state, a stalking horse, a cat’s paw for any other power. Understand that when we get entangled in such matters, the ultimate loser is always the smaller state."

Asean may not be a small state, but would Asean wants to be a vassal state, a stalking horse, a cat’s paw for any other power? What Asean is doing to Myanmar today is as good as acting on behalf of the Americans, but not good enough. Asean should go all out to do what the Americans want it to do, poke the eyes of Myanmar. Then the Americans would be very please, good boy.

Or the Asean leaders are so dumb that they did not think what they are doing are meddling and interfering with Myanmar's domestic affairs? No?

China Expels Canadian Diplomat, Scolds U.S. Envoy

China has ordered a Canadian diplomat to leave the country, in a tit-for-tat move hours after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government expelled a Chinese envoy from his nation.

Jennifer Lalonde, a diplomat from Canada’s consulate in Shanghai, has until Saturday to leave the country, according to a Tuesday statement from the Chinese Foreign Ministry. China said the move was a “reciprocal countermeasure” to Canada’s “unreasonable behavior” and it reserved the right to make further responses.

China’s foreign minister Qin Gang also rebuked the American ambassador Nicholas Burns in Beijing for what he said was Washington’s support of Taiwan and indicated that his side wanted concessions from the U.S. in return for improved lines of communication sought by the White House.

“We cannot focus on communication while China is constantly being suppressed and contained,” Mr. Qin told Burns. “You cannot say one thing and do another.”

Blood debt - China will never forget bombing of Chinese Embassy

Blood Debt; China Will Never Forget Bombing of Chinese Embassy by US-Led NATO In Yugoslavia — Chinese Foreign Ministry

Chinese people will never forget the barbaric crimes that NATO committed in Yugoslavia, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said on Monday.

On March 24, 1999, NATO commenced air strikes against Yugoslavia. On May 7, five bombs hit the Chinese embassy in Belgrade, killing three people and injuring over 20.

“Chinese people will never forget the blood and the lives that it gave for the protection of truth, honesty, and justice. And it will never forget the barbaric crimes of US-led NATO as well,” Wang told a briefing.

He pointed out that, on the one hand, NATO portrays itself as a regional defense alliance, but on the other hand, it constantly heightens regional tensions and generates bloc adversities.

“Following the end of the Cold War, US-led NATO has repeatedly stirred up conflicts all over the world, from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Kosovo, from Iraq to Afghanistan, from Libya to Syria,” the spokesman said.

He emphasized that NATO continues to expand its presence to the East, to the Asia-Pacific region, creating bloc opposition and disrupting regional peace and stability.
