Coming to terms with Orlando shooting

It is far away, but the killings were splashed across the pages of our papers like it was in our very own backyard. The world is getting so small, so close and events happening on the other side of the globe would be known in an instance. We could feel and share the pain, but not the pains of those being killed daily in the Middle East, with many more killed and wounded, daily, with many children going hungry and not going to school, forever on school vacations.

The Orlando killing is getting too close for comfort. The motive, other than being a part of the ISIS world wide terror war against the infidels, this one is more specific. It was about the gays, the LGBT that they have very little tolerance for.  And we just had a rousing gay party in Hong Lim Park, a great success, with many corporate sponsors, some foreign and getting on the nerves of the govt. No, the govt was edgy for different reasons until the Orlando shooting.

Now the govt has a legitimate reason to raise the alarm.  The Pink Dot Party could be another terrorist target for sure.  Shanmugam said, ‘te madness is not going to stop and Singapore must be prepared to respond “hard and fast” if such acts hit home.’ Uh, to respond hard and fast if it happens? Better make sure it does not happen. When it happens, say at a Pink Dot Party in Hong Lim with 20,000 people, no joke. The carnage could be worse than in Orlando and the news will be in the front page and centre spread of all the media in the world.

What is the govt going to do about it? The internet threat to the govt’s computer system is leading to a ban on civil servants from frolicking in the net. Would there be a ban on gay gatherings here? And how would the LGBT group reacts to such a ban? Or would it be another case of it would not happen here, like the Bangla terrorist cells?

Would anything change here after Orlando? Or would thing be as per normal?

The tactics of the ISIS is to attract lone wolf terrorists that are self radicalized through the net to attack whoever they want to attack, the infidels. These are highly unpredictable individuals that could be the best of friends, a model citizens but turned rogue overnight.  There is just no way of telling who’s who.  The danger is clear and present.

Shanmugam has called for all Singaporeans to come together as a nation and to be prepared against terrorist attacks. That is easy. The difficult part is that half of the population is foreigners. How to educate them and bring them together as a nation?  Maybe that is a non issue as all the foreigners coming here are good foreigners and would not attack Singapore and Singaporeans even if they are terrorists. They all have a soft spot for Singapore. Singapore is so good to them.

The danger comes from Singaporeans that are easily radicalized, not foreigners. See, so far no foreigners have tried to attack Singapore. Singapore is safe from foreigner terrorists?

Indonesia will not allow Singapore to act against its citizens

This is the latest coming from down under, the big brother of Asean.  Singapore thinks that by passing the Transboundary Haze Pollution Act it can then go around arresting anyone it likes for violating this law? The Americans can do it, passing all kinds of silly transboundary laws and go about applying to countries around the world. That is American Exceptionalism or America is the Empire and can impose any laws onto anyone. Small little countries must know their places and stop believing in myth that it can punch above its weight.

The strong objection and statement are testimony to might is right and when one is small, it is better not to be too overbearing. You can only punch above your weight if the bigger party allows you to do so. Indonesia would not allow Singapore to act against its citizens even if their acts affected and hurt Singapore and Singaporeans. What can Singapore do about it?  On the other hand Indonesia is arresting fishing boats from China, Malaysia, Vietnam etc and their citizens for violating their territorial waters. Not sure about the rest, but in China’s case, Indonesia is acting like it is punching above its weight against China. They believe China could not do anything against the Indonesian Navy. In reality, it is China that is allowing the Indonesians to punch above its weight. Anytime China could withdraw this privilege like Indonesia is doing now to Singapore, and arrest Indonesian naval ships when it decided enough is enough.

There is one area that Singapore can punch above its weight. Throw money around. We have a lot of money to throw and those who needed money would come crawling to plead with us, to let us feel important, full of dignity, and to throw our weight around with our money to punch above our weight, …and to look silly after that when the money is gone.

How many millions do you want, $100m, $500m or $1b?

Orlando terror shooting – The USA cannot have its cake and eat it

My sympathy and condolence to all those killed or wounded in the Orlando Club terror attack that killed 50 people and many injured by a lone gunman identified as Omar Mateen, an American citizen from Afghanistan. No innocent life should be lost to killers and insane people whether in uniform or otherwise, whether they are part of so called terrorist organizations or in the uniform of the United States of America.  Orlando Club lost 50 lives, how many lives were lost in Iraq, Libya, Syria and the Middle East in general and all around the world caused by the American forces, legally or illegally, in overt or covert warfare? How many more lives of silly Asians and SE Asians are going to die if the American is successful in provoking a war in the South China Sea or in the Korean Peninsula?

The American has this killer strategy. Start wars everywhere except in homeland America. As long as the wars are fought in other people’s countries, far away, the Americans will be safe at home, continue to watch their basketball matches, baseball, go to dance halls, eat their American breakfast in peace, while other people are dying, killed by American soldiers and terrorist organizations created and supported by the USA.

Things are not going the way of the Americans when the rest of the world wise up. They are not going to continue to be silly and fight an endless war, continuous destruction of their economies and lives in their own countries at the behest of the Americans. They are going to bring the war into the homes and streets of homeland America.

If the Americans refused to stop their warmongering and agitations for war outside America, war will come home, to kill Americans in American soil. The USA cannot have the cake and eat it too. You want to start wars and kill other people, they will return the favour to Americans in America.

Orlando Club is only the beginning and more will happen and more innocent Americans will die, just like the innocents that died all over the world, by the bullets of American soldiers and their accomplices, the willing rogues of the ‘free’ world. The Americans cannot go on all over the world to light fires and think they can be safe at home anymore.

ISIS has owned up and is targeting homeland America with their recruitment propaganda calling on sympathizers, not just their core fighters, to pledge allegiance to the Caliphate and would be recognized and honoured as the lions, the warriors of their cause against the Americans. According to a NYT report, ‘the terror group’s spokesman Abu Muhammad Adnani last month incited its supporters to carry out killings abroad during the holy month of Ramadan.  No attack is too small, be advised, specifically naming the US as a target.  “The smallest action you do in the heart of their land is dearer to us than the largest action by us,” he said “and more effective and more damaging to them.”’

America, here you have it. The war is heading to your homeland. All your nuclear weapons and aircraft carriers and your F35s, cruise missiles, drones and stealth bombers are useless, hapless in the face of a fighter or sympathizer suicide terrorist willing to die for his or her cause. The fire you lighted far away is coming home.

Another Hong Lim Protest

I heard there is one this Saturday organized by the Community Action Network (CAN) and the topic is the recent harassment of Roy Ngerng and Teo Soh Lung.  I tried to search for this info in the net but got zero result.

I am wondering how many people knew about it or would turn out when there is hardly any information about the event. The organizers expect everyone to know or only for their friends and associates to attend? Is this a spread by words of mouth protest for those who are connected to the Community Action Network group?

The last time Gilbert Goh held a protest, there were barely 200 people. These organizers need to learn the ropes from the Pink Dot Organisers, maybe get some donations and support from big corporations if they ever think there will be people turning up for their event.

Why is US so dead against China? China has never done any harm to US both in the past and in the present. But US has always treated China with contempt. US has never conceal its great dislike for China because it is a communist state.All American leaders both past and present have always harboured the determination to take China down because they claim China as an authoritarian communist state is anathema to Western Democracy in which US is the outspoken Champion and leader.All US elites, intellectuals, military and political leaders have always uttered that China as an authoritarian state will not last and will soon collapse into the scrap heap  of history.. To enhance the quick demise of China they have always adopted all plans and means and insidious policies to make sure China become a fail state.In the 1930s and 1940s US supported the imbecile Chiang Kaishek Kuomintang against Mao Tse Tung. In 1950 US started the Korean War to involve China so as to wear down China from rising. It started trade and economic sanctions against China to prevent China's national reconstruction and development. It intervened in China's Civil War between Mao Tse Tung and KMT by stationing the Seventh Fleet in the Taiwan Strait to prevent Mao Tse Tung from taking Taiwan thus preventing China from taking the Chinese Civil War to a fruitful conclusion.

In the Cairo Declaration, Potsdam Treaty and San Francisco Treaty , Japan was supposed to give back to China all the territories that Japan took from China and they include the Diau Yudao, Taiwan, the Pescadores, the Paracel Islands, the Spratley Islands and its shoals and surrounding seas. However in 1976 US treacherously handed Diau Yudao to Japan inspite of protest from Taiwan KMT and China.. In the mid 1970s when China announced the discovery of rich oil and other mineral resources under the sea bed of the South China Sea, US secretly encouraged Philippines, Vietnam and Malaysia to grab some of the Chinese islands in the Spratley and Paracel group.

Though US says it is not a claiment to all these islands and does not take sides among the claiments it is adopting the most aggressive hostile posture towards China. US is openly championing and supporting the spurious illegal claims of the Philippines and Vietnam.We have yet to know by what dubious corrupted means US had used behind the scene to encourage and embolden the Pinoys and the Viets to steal Chinese territories and challenge Chinese ownership.

US is supporting Japan in the Diau Yudao and the Pinoys and the Viets in the South China Sea issues not because US believes that Japan, Philippines and Vietnam have a genuine case . US support of the Japs, Pinoys and the Viegts is part of the US calculus to bring China down by all means economically, politically and militarily. The Diau Yudao and the South China Sea issues are exploited by US to serve its agenda and excuse of open confrontation with China. The crap that US is constantly harping that it is challenging China in the South China Sea for freedom of passage is hogwash because China has never and will never stop free passage in the sea lanes of the South China sea.But free passage does not mean US has the right to conduct nefarious activities against China in encroaching on China's airspace and naval spying activity close to China's long coastline. The Diauyu Dao and the South China issues just serve as a convenient excuse and platform for US to undermine China's rights and national security and this is part of the whole conundrum of bringing China down.

US leaders both civilian intellectuals, professors, politicians, presidents and the military always openly and proudly declare that US will not allow any country to become as rich and powerful as US not to say becoming richer and more powerful than US. To the US establishment it sees China as committing a sin of becoming rich and powerful now. Therefore US has to take down China. It tried economic sanctions on China before but it didn't work. So now US is tinkering with the thought of using the military means to destroy China. US is using the Diaoyu Dao and the South China issues as a heaven sent excuse for opening hostilities against China. It is intent on luring China out to fight with its provoking spying overflights and naval incursions.which threaten China's sovereign security. US believes whether rightly or wrongly that it now has a chance to destroy China by military means with its overwhelming military might of fourteen aircraft carriers, hundreds of warships and nuclear armed submarines and twenty thousand bombers both conventional and nuclear armed as well as space armed satellites and thousands of nuclear armed rocket missiles.

So it is not true that US is fighting for freedom of passage in the South China Sea and neither it really believes that philippines and Vietnam have a strong case in their nefarious claims on Chinese territories . It is a twisted logic for US to  falsely and insidiously  accuse  China of trying to grab  its neighbours' territories.. It is just US establishment look at a rich and powerful communist China with jaundiced eyes and its inherent hatred for China is so great that it feels it has a mission to destroy China. Another reason is that US has a latent desire to secure hegemonic control over the East China Sea and the South China Sea and the rich oil and mineral resources under the sea bed respectively. But US may have miscalculated for China is no more "The Sick Man of Asia " as in the last century , but is now a rich and powerful nuclear armed military power with second strike capabilities. US mistakenly thinks it can kill the Chinese without incurring injury to itself. An attack on China now could be the  last battle for US and the demise of USA itself. Well, man proposes but God disposes. The earlier the moronic US establishment comes to its senses the better for mankind.
