The truth hurts, and being in denial would not help, would not solve anything. There were some great moments and some great inventors in America in the past, but not anymore. The lazy hillbillies are all bloating in their seams, eating and eating, but not working, but demanding to be paid high wages for little work done.
America would never be great again without the talents from immigrants. Not that America was great in the past. America was a nation built on genocide and slavery, free land and free labour, when rudimentary technology was good enough. In today's world, it is high tech and sleek management, robotics and AI. These fields need real talents, need technocrats, scientists, engineers and geeks, not hillbillies and sweet talking lawyers that produced nothing but acting smart and clever with their mouths.
Other than the Jews, America is now totally dependent on skilled and talented immigrants when the local pool of inbreeding only produced dull and unthinking rednecks that believed the good life is theirs to take, without having to work, at best go around shooting and killing others to robe their wealth and land with wars and unending wars. The management of American corporations are now in the hands of the Indians, the new immigrants that made the earlier American migrants looked dull and useless. The Indians should take over the running of America, occupy the White House. It would be good for no talent America, or at least the Indians would be very much smarter than all the clowns in the White House and in Capitol Hill.
On the other hand, the high tech industries and innovations are dependent on new immigrants from China, the top scientists, engineers, computer nerds, the chip designers etc etc. What would happen when Trump and his anti China hawks forced all the Chinese talents back to China? The chip industry and other high tech industries would simply fold up. The talents in Nvidia, AMD, TSMC and Qualcomm, including those in Intel are mainly Chinese.
Turning away the Chinese and the Indians would implode the American economy and its technology dominance in double quick time. There is no more Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Zuckerberg in the pipeline. Elon Musk is also a new migrant from Africa. The new mavericks are immigrants with names the hillbillies would have difficulties pronouncing or remembering.
An American culture that venerates mediocrity cannot survive in the new century of high techs requiring super talents in maths and sciences, not creepy lawyers and unproductive whisky drinking louts in the factory that eat more than they work and demanding high pays. The factory workers are not worth their money in weight and in their fats. It is the grey matter that makes the difference in the high tech industry.
Try to invade and conquer the world once again, to get free land, free labour and free resources with the gun, without having to pay for them, and called it great American Exceptionalism.

It is too late for the USA, according to reports, after forcing vast numbers of Chinese scientist, engineers and academics to leave for China and make China even greater. Crying over spilt milk is useless.
What can Musk and Ramasamy do? Pull rabbits out of a hat? Even Musk needs China. Changing mindsets takes decades and are those replacements for the Chinese willing to work as hard and incentivized when they are appreciated. TSMC's experience in Arizona is already well known, where work attitudes between Taiwanese and USA workers are diametrically different.
Trump was the culprit that created all these problems for the USA, with his trade war the ignition point. There was also his anti-China rhetoric that un-nerved all those Chinese talents, being demonized for spying, and becoming the object of anti-China bashing. Who wants to remain in a country that does not appreciate their contribution. China knows the value of such talents and are welcoming them home with open arms. Why not when they can contribute to nation building, innovation and educating future scientists, engineers and academics.

I guess Boeing now found out the hard way using India talents. Indians are only good for pushing envelopes and wriggling their way into top positions of USA companies, and engineering is not their strong points. Boeing planes are landing without good working landing gears and catching fires. Three planes in trouble over the last three days is really an astonishing record.
I understand Boeing and the FAA has been investigating the 737 planes since the two fatal crashes years ago, claiming 346 lives. It looks like software issues are not the only problem. Is this the same situation as what is existing with their F35's? Just doing patch and pray to tackle the issues? Why are Boeing planes still full of problems in every direction?
Boeing is disintegrating like its planes in front of our eyes. Airlines are turning to alternatives, and the current problems will further delay its production schedule. The confidence of travelers will definitely be shaken, if they have not been shaken earlier already.
AirAsia may buy about 100 C919 aircraft from COMAC, with purchases from Airbus and Embracer on the cards. Now is the time for COMAC to expand its footprint.

Biden and Trump thinks bringing back manufacturing works just like a light switch, which they can switch on and off at will. Life is not as simple as that.
Now getting rid of Chinese scientists, engineers and academics may be as easy as winning a trade war. But educating and training new workers or talking about luring the Chinese back is not going to work or as simple as what they think. That is gone for good, like losing the EV battle. Chinese students are not flocking to USA universities any longer and the network to lure them to work in the USA to contribute is no longer going to work as well.
The innovation environment is no longer in the USA, but in China. The EV innovation, the battery expertise, the infrastructure innovation, the shipbuilding expertise, the semiconductor research and development, the communication innovation, the space exploration sector and even the agricultural innovation are no longer dependent on the USA to lead. That is history.
The USA can still pretend to be ahead in their fantasy belief, but the reality is totally the opposite. The USA can deny, but the truth will catch up with them eventually. They can run, but they cannot hide.
They still probably think that their propaganda machine is still doing a good job, and that others are still swallowing their lies - hook, line and sinker. When the emperor realizes he has no clothes on, that is too late.
