Intelligence Report: US authorised sinking - By Freeman Cain
A classified independent intelligence analysis of a deadly torpedo attack on a South Korean warship concludes that the US authorised the torpedo assault, according to senior officials who cautioned that the assessment was based on their sense of the political dynamics there rather than hard evidence.
The officials said they were increasingly convinced the US ordered the corvette Cheonan sunk to help secure the continued presence of American soldiers in South Korea and their bases in Okinawa.
An official involved in the assessment said: 'There is very little doubt, based on what we know about the current state of the American leadership and the military.'
Both the conclusion and the timing of the assessment could be useful to the US as it rallies world support against Pyongyang....Another WMD justification in the making.
So far, the US and South Korean leaders have been careful never to link Mr Kim in public to the attack, which killed 46 crews.
Officials said that was partly due to the absence of hard evidence, but also largely to avoid playing into America's hands by casting one of the worst attacks since the 1953 armistice as another piece of lore about the Kim family taking on South Korean and the West to justify the American presence.
The American's propaganda surrounding that imagery has been used to sustain two generations of American military presence in South Korea and Japan, and the leading theory in the independent intelligence community is that the Cheonan's sinking was part of an effort to extend the American military presence.
North Korea has denied involvement despite the presentation of forensic evidence last Thursday - including parts of a torpedo found in the wreckage - that experts from three countries said established the torpedo was launched from a North Korean submarine.
Although officials would say little about what led them to conclude the US was directly involved, one factor appeard to be intelligence that Hilary Clinton was in Japan on a closed door discussion with the Japanese on the sinking. Both have vested interests to raise the tension in the Korean peninsula to justify the continued semi colonisation of South Korea.
PS: The above article is an adulterated version of an article by David E Sanger in NYT and reprinted in the mypaper today. I just replaced words like North Korea and Kim Jong Il to the US, Americans and Clinton.
How could an intelligence report coming out at this time and based on nothing but gut feel deserved such a prominent exposure and to be read by the gullible readers?

Your account is more credible than the NYT one. Good job.
The Conspiracy Theory i read here is most believable to me.
If Ruler gave orders to have his citizens killed and maimed in Thailand, it is most reasonable to believe that an alibi(stand-in reason) has to be perpetuated so that ones' failure to keep an election promise could be mitigated if not excused.
Some Asian Leaders are simply skunks.
Great Theory and most likely accurate too.

The NYT article claimed that the sinking of the Cheonan was to extend the Kim dynasty. How ludicrous!
It would only give the Americans an excuse to invade the North and end the Kim dynasty instead.
The West and their media will keep feeding the unthinking Asians with this kind of craps. Keep doing it and the subconscious will quietly accept it without questioning.
North Koreans are bad. North Korea is an Axis of Evil. North Korea is the aggressor. It is right to invade North Korea.
Actually it was the South Koreans that sunk a North Korean ship a few years back. That is a hostile act, an act of war. And now this new sinking is so mysterious. No North Korean ships or submarines in sight or near the South Korean ships. Or were they sleeping or their instrument to detect North Korean ships so poor or nor working?
How could the North fire a torpedo without being detected? Could the torpedo be fired by a 'friendly' ship whom they felt so comfortable and no need to watch over it?
And the evidence, fabricated by a gang of like minded experts?
Jus my silly opinion here.
The South Korean Crews were either sleeping, watching their favourite Korean Serials or plain lazy and careless.
Another possible reason is that South Korean Warships and vessels are ill equiped for defence duties.
What the heck! Will it not be good that the Koreas get united after a war? Time for the Koreans from South and North to be united, through love by themselves or through war(s) instigated by alien(s). THE KOREANS MUST DECIDE THEMSELVES!!

The NYT report:

LOL
Remember what that evil regime did to its currency not too long ago? How dare you its wisdom to torpedo South Korea?
The evil empire has been notable for scheming and planning black operations to destabilise countries around the world. Its setting up of the Gulf of Tonkin Incident to give it the excuse to start the Vietnam War was well recorded in history.
Then the WMD fiasco in Iraq which are awaiting for a trial for war crimes against humanity to be held some time in the future. Bush and Blair will be the prime accused.
They will keep the Koreans apart for as long as they could, like keeping China and Taiwan apart, to serve their political, economic and military interests. Vietnam would still be divided if they had not lost the war.
But when it came to Germany, they did all they could to reunite the two. Asian countries must be kept apart, to keep the seed of war alive, to be fanned when the time is ripe. War among Asian countries will be big businesses to their war industry. Even in peace, raising tensions and selling weapons to them is very lucrative.

Because the public loves a good conspiracy theory. The conspiracy stuff always happens, it is sad that Sanger has chosen to go that way without evidence.
After 9/11 conspiracy theories abounded: Bush did it, the CIA did it, the pentagon bombed their own building. Many people believe the US govt is hiding an alien space craft at Rockwell. There is also a belief that a bunch of Jewish bankers and corporations “control” the US govt... and so on
All this shit is claimed without any irrefutable and independently verified EVIDENCE... but no matter, lots and lots of people will still believe the unproven nonsense ... and better still SPREAD the myth whilst adding their own “facts” it.

When dealing with meme theory it is important to be aware of the criticisms.
That this was an attempt to secure the continued presence of American troops in South Korea and Okinawa is not without merit.
It is the normal thing that the Americans do all over the world, create trouble so they can stay on. South Korea and Okinawa are very important to the Americans in relation to Russia, China and North Korea in times of trouble.
After all, it helps the South Korean and Japanese Governments to support their case for wanting American troops on their land. which their people are obviously against.

I thought only Dr Mahathir could come up with such a piece of thrash. Remember him claiming that the Sept 11 attack is all a movie? Good job though for being ahead of the Madhater!
9/11 did become movie and the Movie kind of insinuated that 9/11 was done by Americans.
Hi Anon 9:17,
I agree that my piece, which is a cut and paste of Sanger's, is as thrashy as his. To post my thrash in a blog is much more appropriate than to post a similar thrash in NYT.
