Double confirm, Singapore has no talent

After the SGX announced the resignation of its CEO, Magnus Bocker, it immediately announced that it was going global to search for a replacement. The speed in the announcement said many things. One thing for sure, they have not considered anyone internally or might have considered in those few hours that no one was good enough. And there is no succession planning, or it could be a case of starting to plan now and the new local CEO would be ready in 30 years time. They may be looking at the universities to recruit the young graduates to put into their succession plans.

‘Last week, the media reported that SportsHub has started a global search for a new CEO. SportsHub said that it was part of its “succession planning”.

SportsHub chairman Mark Woodhams told TODAY last Friday (22 May) that Mr Philippe Collin-Delavaud, the current SportsHub CEO, would remain in his post “until well after the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games” copied from TRE

The search for another foreigner to be the CEO of the Sports Hub is a double confirmation that Singapore really has no talent for anything except politicians. Our politicians are world class, world best, unbeatable, at least when pay is concerned. Never mind if they have to go to 3rd World countries or little villages to learn from some village chieftains about how to run a country or ministry where the joker is paid not even a day of their pay.

Singapore is one of the top cosmopolitan countries in the whole world. This means that the talents in the city must be as good as those in the top cities of the world. I bet you the next CEO is likely to come from some remote corners of the the world that may not even have seen a sports stadium of international standard, or be a young punk that have left school 10 years ago, but because he is a foreigner, he is deemed to be good and talented. Or maybe our graduates that went to the same foreign universities were taught a different syllabus from them.

Would this new CEO be from some countryside countries like New Zealand, South Africa, or from some American or European little towns of hill billies, or from great and cosmospolitan cities like Mumbai? A top world class city did not have the talent to manage world class facilities but talents from little towns or 3rd World slum cities have such talents with the relevant experiences, the skills set to do so? I bet some would not even have sat on a new modern toilet seat and did not even know how to flush it.

Singapore has no talents, but those talents from elsewhere could have been fakes, what with all those fake degrees circulating around the globe.

But keep it secret as to how far we have been affected. In time, Sinkies will forget and forgive. It works all the time.

Doubt the bestest Sinkie would be able to run a village in Mumbai.

Sinkies have too overly rated themselves cos they are brought up in a well. Fortunately the well travelled leaders are wise to know that the world is big and there are much more talents than available in the well.

Do you think it's true?

The only talent you need in Singapore is to know which is the "correct" oblong dick to suck.
And it's obvious that Singaporeans do not know whose oblong dick to suck.
Otherwise we will have many Singaporean CEOs by now.

RB

Please lah, not just any Sinkie politician hor. It must be a PAP one, OK? Cannot be Chee Soon Juan type of Sinkie politician, tio bo?

And of course PAP politicians (ministers and office holders) are world class, world best lah. If not how come they can get world class, world best pay, u tell me lah?

There are even no Sinkie talents ready to form a govt, let alone a better govt than PAP what. So what so surprising when no Sinkies are ready to be SGX or SportsHub CEO? This is only to be expected, tio bo?

Because PAP see Sinkies no up mah. And Sinkies also deserved to be seen no up mah.

And how good or strong can Sinkies be, if some Sinkie PMETs even have to lan lan bo pian become taxi drivers, security guards, insurance or property agents? And also cannot do anything about their situation even in worse times for them, like in 2011?

@ Monday morning hypertensive, RB:

Uncle, jaga your blood pressure lah. Relac!

The companies are doing global searches---probably because casting a wide net means more choice? Who knows? and who really cares---it's their organisations, they can do as suka suka as they like lah.

Since the search is global, any Singapore talent can apply. It's not as if locals aee "barred" from submitting applications.

Are Singaporeans the enemy of PAP?
Because we can vote them out?
So it's better to "fix" Singaporeans before Singaporeans "fix" PAP?

Anonymous said...

Problem with Singaporeans is that we (40%) don't know how to suck PAP's oblong dick ... correct or not?
Because of the 40%, now the 60% of us who voted PAP also got to suffer ... correct or not?

there is no way you can kick pap out.....

the pap brand is too big to fail.....

some even predicted a pap 75% opps 25% dream result.....

will it comes true.....

we shall see.....

If Sinkies got talents, they shall never have to grouse against their leaders lah.
They would have the talent to choose the right leaders and be happy with them
Why are the leaders calling their subjects DAFTS and the DAFTs keep complaining the leaders they selected?
How to believe there's talents in Sinkies.

Singaporeans have no talent in selecting our government.
