New Straits Times slammed UMNO

Unbelieveable, the NST slammed UMNO for behaving badly after a bad showing in the last GE. God works mysteriously. This is what NST said, 'People are getting fed up with UMNO's moaning and groaning. The truth is that the people have long been disgusted with the kind of boorish and loutish behaviour that UMNO leaders have exemplified because of their grip on power since independence in 1957.' Finally the journalists who have their views and feelings suppressed all these years just let go their truth. To be fair, many of these journalists are just ordinary beans with family to feed and need to tow the line, cari makan. When the time comes for them to be themselves, they will write what they truly believe in. This may happen in paradise too, one day. God works mysteriously in his own way.

and don't turn this blog into another fitna.

What's wrong with Fitna? As far as I am concerned it is a truthful expose.

Oh, I get it. You have relinquished your own mind because your PAP masters have warned you about talking about certain "taboo" subjects, and thus you have caved in out of fear.

Good one mate. I on the other hand, answer to no one.

i can't be the one to incite racial or religious hatred in this blog. there are different platform for those who want that kind of fun.

It is impossible to "incite" anyone to do anything, simply because we make our own emotions.

e.g. I can say to you "go and kill LKY" because he fucked your pet dog to death, and I know how much you love your dog. Kill that dog rapist!!!!! (extra exclamation for emphasis)

You still have to make the decision to act. If you get angry, you made that emotion, not me. You can simply ignore me, and carry on with your day.

Yes, it is that simple.

if everyone is as sensible as matilah, or insensible, the world will not be in such a mess.

many will get crazy with a little nudge here and there and someone to lead them to kill. the tibetan uproar, if it is really an uproar as the western media tries to play it up, is a good case example. just keep provoking and raise the emotion and there will be blood on the street in no time.

the masses will easily be turned into a vicious mob.

i can accept that everyone here is in a position to reason and walk away. but you are being too idealistic to think the masses can do so.

I'm not being unrealistically idealistic at all. Sure, there might be those who cannot contain their EMOTIONS and/or refuse to think for themselves.

But when one ACTS, one does so because one decides to act. Therefore the person taking the action is ALWAYS responsible for every one of his actions—throughout his entire life. If he does something "bad", he is answerable, not the party who "incited" him.

Similarly, if the person was incited to do something "good" like donate to a worthy cause, he is responsible for his action, not the party who "incited" him to donate.
