Mexico and Nicaragua possible candidate for the next canal. China ready with technology and money to do it

 Two other countries in South America are looking at the possibility of providing alternatives to the Panama Canal. One is Nicaragua and the other is Mexico. There are problems to surmount of course, and the media is already throwing cold water on these two projects now undergoing feasibility studies.

Even the construction of the Panama Canal had been highly problematic, with France giving up midway and USA taking over. 25,000 lives were lost during the construction period which stretched over three decades, imagine 30 long years. That was during a period where highly sophisticated construction equipment was non-existent, with only steam driven machinery available towards the later stages, unlike today. So, such an undertaking today will be very much easier.

They say that necessity is the mother of invention. If the USA takes control of the Panama Canal, countries in the region will give serious thought to having an alternative. If China wants to go in to play the game, knowing what it means with the Panama Canal under USA control, nothing is an impossibility.

Never push China to do what it does not now dominate. It will be too late to regret.

Jeju crash - what are they trying to hide?

 It seems that the onus of the crash and ongoing investigation is now centered on the Muan Airport, the Airline and its leaders and the wall. Nothing is wrong with the plane landing without its landing gear not functioning. Boeing is another too big to fail USA company and cannot be targeted. The fact is that if the crash is proven to be a fault of the plane's landing gear, compensation is going to be costly. I do not know whether there are limits to that, but reputation wise it is going to cost Boeing dearly in its floundering reputation.

Now this is not the only occasion that Boeing landing gears have malfunctioned. That belly landing in Torp Airport, Norway was also because of the same landing gear malfunctioning. There was no bird strike damaging the landing gears to blame on. What is the explanation? And this is not the only other incident. Not long ago, a plane tire flew off a Boeing plane after take-off at Los Angeles International Airport. And they kept claiming that China is making junks. What about Boeing?

With one of the plane's black boxes sent to the USA for squeezing out information, how far can we be certain they are upfront? Will the information be sanitized to save Boeing's reputation? You bet!

There is an ongoing outcry from travelers that tells the whole story - 'If it is Boeing, I am not going'. That had better be the motto of the flying public. It is their life that they are gambling with.

PS. They took more than a week to transcribe the cockpit conversation between pilot and Tower. Can you believe that? The conversation would also be recorded by the Tower and easily available. It was only a few minutes conversation and spoken in English or Korean, not in alien language. What are they hiding or trying to hide? Transcribing the Tower recording would not take more than half an hour. And they refuse to release the conversation between pilot and Tower.

Biden ordering more aids to Taiwan. Who is paying for it?

 In a brief statement, the White House said Biden had authorised his secretary of state to "direct the drawdown of up to US$571.3 million in defence articles and services of the Department of Defense, and military education and training, to provide assistance to Taiwan".

The statement did not provide details of the military assistance package, which comes less than three months after a similar package worth US$567 million was authorised. CNA

In his dying hours in the White House, Biden signed, or ordered by his handlers to sign, more than US$1 billion of military aids to Taiwan. This poor old man who could barely stay awake, is incapable to thinking about such matters. Who made the decision for him and held his hand to sign on the dotted line?

The big question, what is Taiwan really going to get from this so called aids in real terms? More guns, more bullets, more American soldiers in Taiwan? US$1 billion can buy a lot of things, especially in education and training material. And Taiwan would then be better trained to be cannon fodder in resisting reunification of the Motherland.

Another big question, who would really be paying the US$1 billion? The American public, or the Taiwanese? Or it would go into the pockets of some contractors who would know how to repay their benefactors graciously. Whatever, the money would not go to Taiwan but to interested parties in America. Maybe a 5 men team of American mercenaries would pay a visit to Taiwan as proof that something was done.

What is really significant in this continuous selling of weapons to Taiwan is that it is an official authorisation for China to supply weapons to countries around the world to oppose the evil American Empire. Supplying weapons to Taiwan is as good as supporting the civil war and independence of Taiwan. This is totally unacceptable. 

China in the same way is free to support Russia in Ukraine, the Hamas, Houthis, Hezbollah to take on the Americans, and supply all the Arab and Muslim states like Iran with all the weapons they need. China is also free to supply weapons to Mexico, Panama, Cuba, Jamaica, Venezuela and all the Latin American countries under threat from the evil Empire.

Supplying weapons to the enemies of your enemies is fair game under the American Rules Based Order.

America targeting and pulling out of India. China is not filling the void.

 The USA is conducting economic warfare against India now, giving India all the bad publicity which is causing investors to pull out investing in India. This is a terrible situation for India going forward. Which other big country is going to fill the void? Not China definitely!

The USA had conducted the same economic warfare against Hong Kong, Vietnam and I believe Bangladesh, all with huge Chinese investments, not to talk about Russia. However, the difference between India and the others is significant, but seldom talked about on MSM. China openly discourages Chinese investors to invest anymore in India but is not doing the same in Russia, Vietnam, Bangladesh or Mexico and Brazil.

USA investors pulled out of Vietnam, which already happened some time ago, but with Chinese investors moving in, the effect was not as bad as what the USA wanted. It is the same as in Russia, with Western companies moving out and Chinese investors filling the void. The harm was minimal. Likewise, Mexico is not succumbing to Trump's threat, knowing that China is waiting in the wings to move into the void that will be there when USA investors pull out.

India is in a different situation, with Western investors pulling out but without Chinese investors ready to fill the void. This is why antagonizing China is coming back to haunt the Indians in more ways than one.
