Vivian supports UN International Law, not Rules Based Order, in the UN

Dr Balakrishnan stressed that international law and the UN remains important in a fractured and difficult world.

"We need international law, and we really need the United Nations. It is still the only organisation with universal participation, with legitimacy. When decisions are made and consensus is achieved at the UN, it means something," he pointed out in the doorstop interview.

"It sets norms, it sets expectations, it sets international law. So rather than saying, you know, the UN is irrelevant; in fact, we need to double down on the UN. And if things do not work or do not work well enough at the UN, we need to reform the UN, reform the processes and get on with it, and that is why we have had the Summit of the Future."  CNA

This Singapore stand to support international law under the UN instead of American terrorist Rules Based Order, is a great departure from the past. By now Singapore must have got the message that American terrorist Rules Based Order has been abandoned and condemned by the rest of the world, including western countries. Every state is aware that the American Rules Based Order is as good as the Americans setting the rules to their advantage and for the rest of the world to obey, often in violation or contravention of UN's international law. Even the Americans are embarrassed when they spout this nonsensical gangster Rules Based Order which is now better know as Rule of the Outlaw or Lawlessness. Caveat, this is not conclusive, that Singapore has abandoned the American terrorist Rules Based Order as the speech was in the UN and not appropriate to talk about American terrorist Rules Based Order.

As for the relevance of the UN and its usefulness, it is at best in theory. The UN has discredited itself as fair and just, allowing the American, western and Israelis to thrash everything honourable, just and legal that the UN stood for. The Americans are using its solitary veto right to go against the recognition of the Palestine state, blocked all calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza to support the genocide of the Palestinians by the Israelis with full support and participation of the Americans, Brits and Nato forces.

Calling for a doubling down in effort to make the UN relevant is a bit too late. The UN is finished, totally discredited as a meaningful international organisation. BRICS and its supporters, mainly the Global South are totally disillusioned with the UN and are leaving. It is like saying BRICS is good after having fouled up with following the Americans to sanction Russia, now knowing it has missed the boat and would not be accepted into BRICS. Singapore would end up being the only state in Asean that would not be in BRICS.

BRICS and the Global South have given up on the UN. They are not going to call for a reform but a walkout. The UN would become the United Nation for America and its colonies and cronies, ie mainly European states and maybe Japan and South Korea, Australia and New Zealand.

Calling for a reform of the UN at this junction is like closing the door after the horse had bolted. Singapore is going to regret alone, for making several faux pas in support of the Americans against Russia and the Global South. The road back is not going to be easy. The best thing for Singapore to do now is to shut up, hide under the bed, not to be seen again.

China should let the USA to self-destruct with tariffs and sanctions

Think China should let the USA alone to self-destruct and stop talking about trade issues and tariffs. Let the USA erect tariffs to the stratosphere and hurt its own people. Just de-couple and be done with it. Business with BRICS countries is more than enough to compensate.

There is a big market outside of the USA. There are good investment opportunities outside the USA that are safer, less risky from sanctions and seizures and helps poorer countries to progress.

Why let companies go to the USA, invest in the USA, and yet be looked upon as an enemy to be destroyed.

China should just stand aside and watch how the USA is escalating its self-destruction mode with all the miscalculations, inflicting self-harm and trying to blame others. More and more countries are ignoring the USA and its tantrums. It is behaving like a spoilt brat and unbecoming of a global superpower to be looked up to.

USA will fight to the last bullet to preserve the US$ hegemony

The USA will fight to the last bullet to preserve the US$ hegemony. Everything falls apart with the end of the US$ hegemony and this is an existential issue for the Anglo-Saxon Whites riding on the coattails of the USA hegemony. That is why the Whites are ganging up for the final clash between the USA and BRICS.

We can see that the majority of non-White countries are in favor of de-dollarization and not supporting the continuance of the US$ hegemony, with the exception perhaps of Japan, Philippines and South Korea, all de-facto colonies of the USA.

The end of US$ hegemony means the end of Anglo-Saxon supremacist ideology, which really scares the Whites.

Some Dictators in Africa consorting with the USA/West to exploit their own country and people

The fact of the matter is that there are still some Dictators in Africa consorting with the USA and the West to exploit their own country for their own benefit. These are not stupid African leaders as some may think. They are as smart as you can imagine, but corruption has turned them into traitors to their own country. All they care for is how to feather their own nests and how much the Whites are sharing with them in exploiting the resources of their country,

These traitors do not care what good Russia and China are doing in Africa. They have eyes too, but they rather turn a blind eye and continue enriching themselves than caring about what happens to their country. After all, they know they cannot rule forever and at some stage must give way. So, why not make hay while the sun shines.

And if some are saying that some African leaders are even condemning Russia and China, it goes without saying. China and Russia are spoiling their lucrative relationship with their colonial masters in a bilateral win-win situation. Why allow China and Russia to end all that?

Many ways the West exert control of the world...Setting debt traps using IMF and World Bank is one

There are many ways the West is using to exert control of the world apart from the US$ hegemony.

Setting debt traps is one, which the IMF and World Bank were created to undertake the task. Today, we can see many countries like Argentina, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka being ensnared into the debt traps set by the IMF and World Bank. Argentina is behaving like an obedient dog towards the USA, even professing to support the US$ hegemony by dollarizing its economy.

Keeping countries perennially poor is another way that the USA and the West exert control over poor countries. Without development and infrastructure, poor countries cannot never hope to progress and extricate themselves from poverty and needs help, which the West via the IMF or World Bank would never give them for development. Why let them progress and grow rich which will make them more difficult to control? When China came into the picture to offer help to those poor countries, it set off alarm bells in the West and the demonization of China setting debt traps became a mainstream mantra.

The fear is that what China did with itself, going from poverty stricken to become the second biggest economy, is going to be allowed to play out and transplanted into other countries, which will give communism a moral victory over democracy.
