Singapore – The Necessary Costly Privilege of Freedom

National Service is Necessary because Freedom is Not Free.

The death of any soldier on active service in the defense of Singapore is always a sad and sorrowful affair.  The untimely and premature death of the late Private Dominique Sarron Lee during an important training session is regrettable.

Fatal training accidents inject a sobering experience to the call of national service duty, where all physically fit and eligible male Singapore citizens and permanent citizens are privileged to serve for up to 2 years upon reaching 18 years old.

The call for more transparency in letters to the newspapers and in social media in this case of Pte Dominique’s death after the smoke-grenade training is understandable but, in my view, unnecessary and would even pose dangers to our soldiers and the rest of us NSmen.  The last thing we want is to let our prospective enemies know how realistic and comprehensive we have prepared our armed forces to protect Singapore and our way of life.  It should however lead Singaporeans to appreciate even more the ultimate sacrifice (to be) paid by many NSmen to keep our freedom and nation intact, and our loved ones safe.

For NSmen like myself, it is yet another reminder worth repeating of the fragile geopolitical surrounding Singapore for a better understanding of the perils and risks of war that may one day breach our shores and skies, and be grateful that the constant vigilance and readiness of the Singapre Armed Forces (SAF) has kept Singapore free and safe for our growing prosperity over the past 50 years.

Today, Pte Dominique’s death forces me to ponder, again, the meaning of sacrifice for my country. As a natural-born Singapore citizen, I have always regarded national service as the singular privilege and honour of citizenship. My son grows up holding his head high and proud as a citizen of a sovereign nation, as he looks ahead expectantly for his turn on Singapore’s watch towers.  He knows and understands, as do most young Singaoreans in his cohort, that “some must fight, so that all can be free!”.

Many young male Singaporeans today see national service as a mere rite of passage.  Some consider it a necessary evil that interrupts their further higher education or joining the marketplace. A few Singapore Permanent Residents prefer to leave the choice of national service to their sons later, forgetting the benefits of safety and security provided by thousands of NSmen enjoyed by their sons during their 18 formative years.

I remember that it was 5 years after completing my national service that the full meaning of sacrifice hit me in a most unmistakably crystal manner.  I travelled to Normandy, France, to gain an appreciation of D-Day in June 1944 when the Allied Forces invaded Europe to begin the end of the 2nd World War.  When I turned towards the cliffs high above Omaha Beach, I was suddenly confronted by huge sprawling fields of cemeteries strewn with thousands of white crosses for as far as my eyes could see.  They extended for many, many kilometers.

The guide book stated that more than 9,000 Americans were buried there, with another 5,000 from Britain together with a few hundred from other Allied countries, Germany and Russia, among them.

For the Americans, they had travelled nearly 6,000km to fight the enemy; and many had perished on the beaches even just as the battles had barely begun. Comparatively, my modest NSmen reservist combat role, at that time, was to defend a stretch of Sembawang beach in North Singapore!  Nonetheless, the goal was equally noble: to defend Singapore’s sovereignty at all cost, including my life.

Today, as Singapore joined Pte Dominique’s family in remembering their loss and celebrate his life, we must not diminish his sacrifice as he answered the privileged call to national service.  I have no doubt that Dominique Sarron Lee, my fellow NSman, wanted to protect this country and our way of life so often taken for granted.  He is a hero, our NSman hero.

Training accidents are not new.  Realistic training designs are developed to empower the soldiers and save their lives during actual battle conditions.  Accidents do happen in spite of abundant safety regulations and measures. The SAF has so many safety regulations and measures today that range from being hydrated before and during running, warming-up before exercises, adequate sleep, buddy system, competent instructors, proper weapon handling; training exercise operating procedures … etc.

I also remember a few tragic fatal incidents: trained instructors died throwing themselves onto live grenades when their recruits froze after throwing them; soldiers died when vehicles they were driving overturned on unfamiliar mountains outside Singapore; a soldier pointed a machine gun at his buddy in jest with safety off and pulled the trigger accidentally; soldiers committing suicides for various reasons; death of a water-boarding trainee … etc.

Where the SAF is concerned, every incident and accident is investigated without fear or favour. NSmen who have ever been involved in such investigations will attest to this.  The main objectives have always been to uncover recklessness and negligence if any, and to assure that the incidents would not repeat.  Hence, SAF training safety and measures are often reviewed and improved upon after every incident whenever necessary.

Blaming and demeaning the SAF, calling the SAF insulting names and accusing the SAF of cover-up do not honour the memory of Pte Dominique Sarron Lee.  It also denigrates and disrespects the SAF in preserving and maintaining the security and safety of Singapore. Worse, it also dishonours all of us NSmen who wear the SAF uniform.

Truth is, some of us will die during training accidents and even during peace time as we strive beyond pain and sweats to protect our precious freedom of a sovereign nation, and our way of life as a multi-cultural, multiracial nation regardless of race language and religion.

Let the perils and risks of our treasured freedom unite us as we remember those like Pte Dominique Sarron Lee who perished as they sought to protect it through national service.

Ensuring minority representation in Elected President?

The first red herring was a ‘rogue’ President. What is rogue to one may be a savior to another. Like Donald Trump, the American political elite are calling him a rogue for blasting at the elite for abusing the system for their vested interests. And the Americans see through the elitist farce and are telling the elite to go to hell. They want their ‘rogue’ President to fight for them and their interests, not the interests of the elite.

Are the elite here, like the Americans, trying to seal their domination and control of the system for the elite? Think about it, why must an elected President be an elite? Do the ordinary people have the right to become the President? It used to be but not anymore. You need to be the elite of the elite to be eligible to stand as a candidate for Elected President. Have daft Sinkies forgotten that this is a democracy and the country belongs to them and not to the elite?

The next red herring is minority as the Elected President. Is this really the solution, really what the Singaporeans want? Think very carefully and do not ask for things that could turn out to be a can of worms. If you still cannot get it, let me quote a blogger, Bapak’s comment in the TRE on this subject.

‘If they can use this minority representation as excuse to introduce GRC, l don’t see why not one day more minority representation for citizens with origin from Pinoyland, Ahnehland, Thailand, Jokertaland, Nigerianland,…etc. So where is this Singapore core they are talking about? Don’t you think they are good at talk one thing & do another thing? This GRC thing is very anti-Singaporean.’

Be very careful what you are asking. This minority thing has changed. We no longer are a city state defined by CMIO. Now minorities include Pinoys, Thais, Myanmese, Vietnamese, Indonesians and even Europeans and Africans. Where shall we stop if we open this Pandora box?

Just to rotate among every minority it would take half a century at least. Are we thinking? Are our politicians thinking? What is the beef?

Singapore is for everyone? Not for Singaporeans? And what is the new Singaporean? Like I said before, Singapore used to belong to CMIO. Today Singapore belongs to ‘chap cheng kia’. There are now at least 10 ethnic tribes in the Singapore equation. Ethnic minorities have taken a different shade and colour.  Don’t pray pray.

Do not allow another Benjamin to happen – Part 2

I wrote earlier about this. And I am worried that another case is waiting to happen. Remember the students of Tanjong Katong Primary School after the Kota Kinabalu disaster? What did the school did to the students that knew those who perished? Yes,, they counseled them, to make sure mentally and emotionally they were able to cope with the shocking event and the after shock. Children are just children and it is very difficult to know how they would react to stress, trauma and death of people they know. No one could envisaged Benjamin would take it so badly. It came like a thunderbolt.

And Shanmugam made a Freudian slip in Parliament by saying that the little girl could commit suicide. The parents and teachers must talk to her, counsel her and keep a close watch over her. Make sure she is emotionally supported and prepared to take this blow of Benjamin’s death. Be very careful and concern about this little girl.

And there are also the teachers and police officers to think about. Some may feel very guilty for what they did or did not do and guilt stricken for Benjamin’s death. Some may be so insensitive that it would just be water under the bridge and would not be affected in any way. But some adults, yes, some adults are very sensitive and vulnerable in a tragedy like this. They must also be counseled, the principal, the counselor, teachers, police officers, they are also human beans and would react like human beans.

Let’s hope the after shock would not hit anyone so badly to take his own life or go insane. The pilots that dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were also mentally affected. This poor Benjamin’s case would prick at the conscience of many who have a conscience in them and they would feel really bad about it.

The Truth Behind US Military Aggression In The South China Sea

Jeff Brown: The Truth Behind U.S. Military Aggression In The South China Sea

The islands in the South China Sea are mentioned in documents going back to China’s Han Dynasty in 200 B.C. Currently China occupies just 8 of the 52 occupied Spratly Islands, Yet, the overt U.S. military aggression in the South China Sea is directed specifically at China. Viet Nam occupies 25 islands, the Philippines occupies 10 islands, Malaysia occupies 7 islands, and Taiwan occupies some islands.

China occupies only 15% of the occupied islands, while U.S. political/military sock-puppet countries control the rest. What’s going on and why is the United States spending a lot of money militarily confronting China over these 8 islands?

This is part of America’s grand strategy to destablize China – and to divide Korea, Japan, and the Phillipines from China – keep them at odds with each other. The old divide and conquer strategy. – Jeff Brown (44days.net) on Shadow of Truth

Prior to 1949, the Rand-McNally map always showed the South China Sea and the Spratly Islands as part of mainland China. When Mao Zedong and the Communist Party took control of China in October 1949, thereby establishing the Peoples Republic of China, he kicked out all of the western colonialists and Japanese imperialists. The Spratly Islands disappeared from the Rand-McNally map. The United States ever since has never stopped trying to overthrow the Communist Party since 1949.

So there’s 52 occupied islands and China occupies only 8 of them. What about all those other countries? This is the American Empire – the big bully – who hates the Communists and hates the Chinese and can’t stand the fact that it does not lord over Chinese resources. – Jeff Brown

China took two reefs and built two more small islands and and developed communities of economic activity.  If anything, because of its overt military aggression toward China over these legal Chinese legal island, the U.S is forcing China to place military assets on these islands in order for China to defend its interests.

What’s really going on here? China, South Korea and Japan are trying to form a free trade zone, something which the U.S. opposes. China was excluded from the TPP Treaty and this trade partnership among China/S Korea/Japan – which represents 20% of the global GDP – would partially undermine the U.S.-directed TPP Treaty in this region.

The presence of U.S. military power in the South China Sea region is extraordinary.  South Korea and Japan are de facto U.S. military occupied countries.  Viet Nam, the Philippines and Japan are essentially U.S. lap dogs.   The U.S. military aggression toward China is part of a military strategy to destabilize and reassume control over China politically and economically that dates back to 1949:

The U.S. will never stop trying to destroy China as long as the Communist Party is in power.  – Jeff Brown

Donald Trump – The rogue for the President of the USA

The Americans love him and are forming up behind this 21st century pipe piper for good or for the worst. But in the eyes of the American elite he is the father of all the rogues. Here are some accolades plastered onto this man by Martin Wolf in the Financial Times and reposted in the ST on 3 Mar. Here it goes:

‘Mr Trump is the promoter of paranoid fantasies, a xenophobe and an ignornamus  His business consists of the erection of ugly monuments to his vanity. He has no experience of political office…Mr Trump is grossly unqualified for the world’s most important polticial office.’

And according to a Robert Kagan in Martin’s article, ‘Mr Trump is also “the GOP’s Frankenstein monster”…’ What more glorious tribute could any American paid to this rogue called Donald Trump?

And it is precisely these attributes that made Trump what he is and what America is today, the Number One super power. And rogue or no rogue, Donald Trump is likely to be the Republican’s candidate for the Presidency and could be the President of the USA?

Singaporean leaders must be suffering in anguish at such a rogue that they would have to deal with when Trump comes calling in his Air Force One. Maybe we should erect a ERP in Changi Airport with a banner saying, ‘No rogue President in Singapore’.

No wonder Singapore can never be as great as the USA. The Americans will break any barriers, any rules, to be great. Singapore will play by the rules, by any rules, right rules, wrong rules, good rules, bad rules, as long as they are rules, Singaporeans will obey the rules. And the new rules coming up, No rogues can become the President of Singapore.

Donald, you get that?

Oh, let me return to say something good for Singapore in its pursuit for greatness. Martin’s article also mentioned about why Rome was great and this was what he said quoting Alexander Hamilton, ‘He notedthat Rome itself, with its careful duplication of magistracies, depended in it shours of need on the grant of absolute, albeit temporary, power to one man called a “dictator”.’ Martin went on to say that in the end ‘Augustus, heir of the popular party teminated the (farcical) republic and installed himself as emperor. He did so by preserving all the forms of the republic, while he dispensed with their meaning.’’  The world farcical is mine.

Singapore may not become as great as the USA with the prohibition of a rogue President but can become as great as Rome like the times of Emperor Augustus.

Dominique Sarron Lee – Was it negligence?

Many things have been written and reported about Dominique’s death. The officers had been charged in a military court, found guilty and punished. But not criminal charges were filed against them as the cause of Dominique’s death was due to allergy to fumes from the smoke grenades.

To cut the story short, the Today paper reported, ‘A Committee of Inquiry convened after the incident found that the number of smoke grenades discharged (six), and the distance between the smoke grenades were in breach of training safety regulations.’ What does this mean?

In the mypaper, BG Chan Wing Kai, commander of the army’s Training and Doctrine Command was quoted to have said, ‘Based on the size of the training area, no more than two smoke grenades should have been used.  But Najib threw six, flouting the SAF’s training safety regulations. BG Chan said they were convicted in a summary trial “for negligent performance of lawful order or duty” and punished according to military law.’

They were charged and found guilty of negligent. Was the act negligent, rash or something else? What does the word negligent imply?  Let me use a simply analogy. If a soldier is only allowed to dunk a recruit in water for 5 seconds but instead dunked the recruit for 20 seconds. Is it an act of negligence or a rash act, or more serious?

Let me use another example, a medic is to inject some vaccine into a soldier. He is supposed to inject 10 ml but chose to inject 100ml and killed the patient. Is this an act of negligence or a rash act or something else?

If only two grenades would be allowed but six were thrown in, why, what was the intent? Unintentional, negligent?

What do you think?

How much is the life a Singapore son worth? Felicia handed her son to the SAF. The SAF returned her son in a coffin plus $50,000 or a bit more. Would $100k be enough, or $500k or how much you want? Obviously some people did not know the meaning of what a son meant to a mother and the family. It is priceless!

PS.  ‘Contrary to misrepresentations, SAF personnel can be charged and punished in the criminal courts if they commit rash and negligent acts during the course of their military duties  that lead to injuries or deaths…said the Army.’ Valerie Koh Today paper.

China should form a coalition to counter the American military pivot to Asia

The American pivot to Asia, in real terms the military expansion into Asia, is gaining momentum. After setting up China as the new strawman, it is gathering more aggressive and belligerent countries in Asia to form a coalition to contain China. The Americans have a natural ally in Japan, the butcher of WW2 to want to rule over Asia. The Americans cunningly appointed another Japanese in Admiral Harry Harris to be the Commander of the Pacific and Indian Oceans, to initiate the containment of China.

It is roping in Australia, a white man ruled country in Asia that never sees itself as an Asian country, after robbing the continent from the Aborigines, and now India, to be part of the mafia to rule over Asia on the pretext of balancing China. Have the Indians forgotten that the Americans are ruling the Indian Ocean on their behalf with a massive nuclear fortress in the heart of the Indian Ocean in Diego Garcia?  The Indians are turning a blind eye to the American presence in the Indian Ocean and went about as if they are in charge of the Indian Ocean.

Should not the Asians wise up and keep Asia to themselves, Asia for Asians, instead of allowing the white men to return to recolonise Asia all over again in Neocolonialism? China militarizing South China Sea or the Americans taking over the region?

China should work with Russia, India, Iran, Pakistan and North Korea and Asean to form an Asian Coalition to counter the American military expansion into Asia, to rule Asia under the American Empire. It would be good to include the Japanese, but the Japanese have the same ambition as the Americans, to rule Asia.

Now we have the two ambitious Imperialist powers working hand in hand, in the USA and Japan, to want to rule Asia all over again. When would Asians remove themselves from the control and dominations of the white men? Does India really believe that the white men are here for peace and stability? Have not India been conquered and ruled by the white men for more than 500 years? Would India welcome the white men to rule Asia and be a part of the white men’s scheme?

India must first think of getting rid of the American military fortress in Diego Garcia. That is real. The threat of China in the Indian Ocean is imaginary or far fetch.  The Americans are here, in Diego Garcia, in the Indian Ocean. The Chinese did not have any military base in the Indian Ocean. The Americans are controlling the Indian Ocean and wanted the Indians to be another piece of their pawns in the domination of Asian.

China shall seriously start to negotiate with the Asian powers to form a coalition to keep the Americans from ruling Asia and Asians. China has been avoiding forming military alliances so far, focusing on economic development and trade and still branded as an aggressive power and the foolish Asian countries believed in this American lie and forgetting that the Americans are taking over with all the military alliances and military bases in Asia.

Silver Spring job portal – Singaporeans helping Singaporeans?

Kudos to Helen Lim, 69, and a few others for setting up job portals to help Singaporeans looking for jobs, temporary, part time or permanent.  Singaporeans are trying to help other Singaporeans when getting a job is soooo difficult. Just look at the media report and you will know what I mean. ‘According to Ministry of Manpower data for the third quarter of last year, nearly 55 per cent of Singapore residents made redundant in the previous quarter were able to find a new job within six months. This means that 45 per cent take longer than six months to land a new job.’

Read what the MOM did not say. Every time they used the phrase ‘Singapore residents’ it is a sign that they are hiding something. Why are they afraid to give the breakdown between Singaporeans and non Singaporeans? Fishy, something that they find it embarrassing or politically wrong to give the breakdown? And why selectively only the third quarter of last year? What about the first and second quarter? Is it that the third quarter results are the most pleasant to the ears of Singaporeans? And for the 45 per cent that could not find jobs within six months, how many could not find jobs after one year, how many after 3 years, how many could not find jobs longer than that?

The article in the Today paper today also said that many of the job seekers ‘have a diploma as a minimum qualification, while many have degrees and post graduate qualifications. Some have experience working in multinational corporations.  It then added a ‘unique group of school leavers in their mid 50s onwards who have grown well in their organizations to managerial levels. This group, when retrenched, faces more challenges getting another corporate job with no paper qualification to support them,’ said Ms Lim.’

Here again we are hearing a uniquely Singapore paradox. University graduates here could not find employment for lack of skill sets. Experience PMEs that have done well, with a good track record, also cannot find jobs. And some ministers are saying paper qualifications are useless, cannot eat. It is skill sets and job experience that matters. If you keep listening to the clowns in the circus, one should be laughing. In this case, you just cannot laugh.

And despite Singaporeans coming out to help other Singaporeans, who do you think are the people or organizations employing the seniors, mums and mature workers? The article mentioned small and medium enterprises. ‘The current organizations that contact Silver Spring for candidates are growing small and medium enterprises…as SMEs “see the value in having some mature silver talents in their workplace.”’

Why no big organizations, why no GLCs, govt ministries? They are too big to help? They can’t find mature PMEs good enough and must go to 3rd world countries to hire foreign talents with fake or degree mills or from ‘chapalan’ universities that are better than our world class universities?

The MOM also set up portals like Job Banks, for what? Is that their only responsibility and effort to help Singaporeans? Why can’t they work with GLCs and govt ministries to provide more jobs for mature PMEs, to give preference to Singaporeans? Or the foreigner CEOs are dictating who they want to hire and nothing can be done about it, even in GLCs?  I know the parrots would say cannot. Look, given preference does not mean you hire the bad apples. There are many good PMEs that are still good for another 5 to 10 or 15 years.

Who is helping Singaporeans to find jobs? What is the govt and MOM doing about this? Providing job data, talking about Singapore residents? That’s all? Why are the GLCs not helping out? GLCs that are making billions in profits do not need to engage in hiring cheap labour from 3rd World countries. They should be doing national service to hire Singaporeans at the middle management level and below except for jobs that Singaporeans did not want. The Singaporeans are doing national service, sacrificing their lives, why can’t GLCs be doing national service to reciprocate the sacrifices of Singaporeans but continue to hire foreigners to replace Singaporeans? What is there to defend for the NS men, to sacrifice their lives for?

USA The Greatest Rogue And Terrorist Country Since The Annal Of History

PART     ONE

The only reason why US is picking China as an enemy and is opposing China in the South China Sea and The East China Sea is part of its policy to contain China from peaceful development. The containment of China must be seen in the light of US application in the use of its three Evil Doctrines viz (1) The Doctrine of Christian Discovery, (2) The Doctrine of American Manifest Destiny and (3) The Doctrine of American Exceptionalism.

After the Second World War China should have retaken back her rightful repossession of the territorial South China Seas and The East China Sea together with all the islands, isles, islets and reefs which the United Nations confirmed that they belong to China and instructed Japan to legally give back China the aforementioned islands, isles, islets and reefs to China as declared in the Cairo Conference on November 22nd to 26th, 1943 and The Potsdam Declartion of 26th July, 1945 and reaffirmed in The San Francisco Treaty of 8th September, 1951.

However, after The Second World War China was too weak and debilitated and did not have a navy to speak of and so it delayed its right to take legal repossession of the said territorial islands and seas. Moreover at the time of the Korean War 1950-1953, America stationed its Seventh Fleet in the East China Sea and the South China Sea to prevent China from taking repossession of of those islands, isles, islets and reefs and the surrounding territorial seas. Had China been strong and possess a strong navy to take back those islands, islets and seas after the Second World War, there would not have any issues today regarding the South China Sea and the East China Sea. As it is the US has always been the devil, the stumbling block to prevent China from exercising her legal right to take back her territories and seas.

Will the Evil Empire USA allow the world to have peace? No, so long as the Evil Empire clings to its continuous practice of its three insidious evil doctrines , the world will never have peace. So long as the Evil Empire is one of the key architects and the chief and important member of the satanic and harmful organisations like the Illuminati, The Free Masons and the ever pervading Rothschild Anglo Saxon Jewish Zionist financial organisation, there will be no peace in this world.

The three evil doctrines base their concepts and practice on the Christian Holy Bible which is also similarly reflected in the Islamic Koran. That's the reason why the Christian West and the Arabs with their fellow muslims have perpetually been fighting for world domination and hegemony. The three doctrines of USA and the West are (1) The Doctrine of Christian Discovery, (2) The US Doctrine of Manifest Destiny and (3) The Doctrine of American Exceptionalism.

Basically the Doctrine of Christian Discovery states that Anglo-European Christians are anointed and empowered by their Christian God with divine destiny to attack, invade and conquer all lands that belong to non-Christians and to convert the local inhabitants to Christianity, and those that are not converted should be killed or massacred. The Doctrine of Christian Discovery is the root cause of all American and European aggression and conquests, the root  cause of Western colonizatioin, dispossession and genocide. The contemporary American indulgence in its practice of the Doctrine of Christian Discovery allows it to assume that it is entitled by God to invade, occupy and take possession of other people's lands without any sense of guilt or conscience. To the Anglo white American Christians all wars are undertaken on God's behalf and are referred as crusades as in the Middle Ages in Europe. US is continuing the crusades of bygone years and believe that crusading the order of the day is God's commanding Americans to wage pre-emptive wars of aggression. So crusading or preemptive wars of aggression, conquest and domination is now the prevailing and controlling idea of US foreign policy.

PART     TWO

The US Doctrine of Manifest Destiny is the continuation and extension of the Doctrine of Christian Discovery but adapted to the needs of 19th century US colonial and imperial designs. Its hard core idea is that America has a divine providence destined by God to expand its borders with no limit to area or country. Manifest Destiny has been and is the reason for American aggression and territorial expansion. They believe that America's security is best served by conquering land beyond its borders and seas and there is no end to the expansion of American territories. In short America wants to conquer and subjugate the whole world to its domination and hegemony. Hence the reason for the present American stirring up of turmoil and instability everywhere like in the Middle East, Ukraine and the South China and East China Seas.

American Manifest Destiny also invokes the right and justice of white people to destroy anything and any one of non-white people who got in the way of their expansion of aggression and conquest. And American leaders past and present like their presidents, state secretariies, senators, congressmen and military commanders strongly hold the view that the Anglo Saxon , the white Americans are destined by God to rule the world.

At the heart of Manifest Destiny is the pervasive belief in American cultural and racial superiority. The Manifest Destiny is now further strengthened with the more dangerous concept of American Exceptionalism. American Exceptionalism is a pervasive faith in the uniqueness of immutability and superiority of America's founding liberal principles accompanied by a conviction that United States of America has a special destiny among all nations to rule and lord over the whole world. Hence its belief in perennial warfare to conquer and subjugate others. US government portrays itself as anointed by God with the sole priviledge to carry out God's mandate. As it is US arrogantly feels it is not bounded to accept any moral or legal standard in its savage behaviour. Thus US always adopt an innocense of moral superiority and entitlement.

US most powerful leaders in the government and military have constantly made never ending statements confirming that Manifest Destiny, American Exceptionalism and millenial belief in the Doctrine of Christian Discovery are foundations of US foreign policy.

The ever pervading US foreign policy is an extension of a thousand years of Christian Holy Wars against muslims, heathens, heretics indigenous people and others. These aggressive wars were carried out by might of military forces, state sponsored explorers. government supported traders, missionaries, settlers, law makers, court officials and other individuals imbued with the belief that they own what they discovered which is actually to say  what they had robbed  and it is their divine right to grab anything and everything from others.

The Doctrine of Christian Discovery is still used by US government , its law makers and judges to deny indigenous people, the American native Indians of their lands and human rights.

The Manifest Destiny is still used by US to justify pre-emptive wars and presumptious 'humanitarian' invasion of other countries to bring them benefits of superior Christian society such as freedom from 'evil dictators', democracy, free markets, material aid and human rights. American Exceptionalism is frequently quoted by American leaders to remind the world that US will never be constrained by international law because anything  that US do is blessed by God and therefore by definition it is beneficial and above critique or beyond criticism. This is arrogance most profound.

US is indeed using all of the above mentioned doctrines as a cover, a smoke screen to justify its ever pervading perrenial evil doings and wanton aggression against all other peoples and countries. These doctrines carry a presumption to unrestrain invasion and possession and are now incepted as US legal doctrine and principles.

PART     THREE

How US destroyed all the self-governing native Indian states and how it massacred and genocided eighty-Five million native American Indians before swallowing up all the native lands to form the present USA is already well known. How US used deceit, intrigue, fraud and military might to to coerce and forcefully and illegally take away one million six hundred and fifty thousand square miles of Mexican land is also well known. These lands comprise the present states of Texas, Utah, Nevada, Wyoming, New Mexico and California.US occupied and subjugated Hawaii through fraud, intrigue and military might in the 1890s. The native Hawaiians led by their queens and kings fought bravely against the invading force of US in1890s in which more than two hundred thousand native Hawaiians were brutally slaughtered. In January 17th, 1893 the queen of Hawaii was overthrown by US and the island kingdom was pronounced US territory. Hawaii was officially and illegally annexed as the 50th State of US on 21st August, 1959.

In 1898 US occupied Guam from Spain, another island kingdom in the Pacific Ocean. It invaded Cuba in 1898 to force out Spain and retained Guantanamo as US territory before granting independence to Cuba after the Cubans put up a fierce fight and resistance. In 1961 US tried to invade Cuba again in the Bay Of Pigs to topple Fidel Castro regime but was resoundly defeated by the Cubans. Cuba needs to take back the Guantanamo enclave from the Evil Empire.

From 1961 to 1973 US tried to gain control of Vietnam by taking over the colonial war from France but was badly defeated by the Vietnamese with strong support from China. US tried to conquer Vietnam to outflank China in the south.

US persistently tried to carry out regime change of countries which do not toe its line. It attacked and invaded the Dominican Republic in 1965 to topple its leftist regime. In1983 it attacked Grenada to topple a socialist government which was very close to Cuba. In 1898 US invaded and occupied Panama and deposed its president Manuel Noriega. In 1993 US attacked Somalia to carry out regime change of its government which was unfriendly to US. Similarly US started wars in Bosnia , Kosovo and Yugoslavia in the Balkans from 1995 to 1999 to carry out regime change so as to outflank Russia in Southern Europe. From 2003 to 2013 US attacked Afghanistan to oust the Taliban regime though the regime was originally built up and supported by America to fight the Russians who had earlier invaded Afghanistan too.. From 2003 to 2010 US attacked Iraq to remove the regime of Saddam Hussein who tried to trade Iraqi oil in Euros other than the US dollar. Likewise Libya was attacked in 2011 and its president Gaddafi deposed and murdered because he tried to trade Libya's oil in a new gold backed African currency rather than using the US Dollar. US is using the American Dollar as a weapon of war , a strategy to control and undermine other countries currencies, trade, finance , banking and commerce. US has been constantly trying to overthrow the present governments of Syria and Iran but is thwarted by Russia. It attempted many times to overthrow the North Korean regime but failed miserably.

Anglo Saxon Europeans and white Americans professed to be Christians and follow the teachings of the Ten Commandments. But how can they reconcile the Ten Commandments when they adopt the practice of the Three Evil Doctrines as part of their national constitutional laws which are in serious breach of of the tenets or core of the Ten Commandments such as (1) Thou shall not Kill, (2) Thou shall not steal and (3) Thou shall not murder.

They have killed and genocided hundreds of millions of indigenous people worldwide. They have robbed all the indigenous peoples of their lands, properties and natural resources. They have through CIA and FBI carried out untold series of murders and assassinations of foreign political leaders like presidents, prime ministers and other statesmen and even scientists.

US has more than one thousand military bases around the world. Does US need so many military bases if it has no evil intent. Since its independence from England US has always and never cease to attack , invade and occupy other people's lands. This guilt conscience of senseless violent aggressions against others make US fear of retalliation. The military bases are US means to pre-empt other countries from rising to post a challenge to US aggression and world hegemony. US stated policy is not to allow any other country big or small in this world to become as rich and powerful as US. Therefore when US talks of allies  it means that these allies have to serve the purpose of US interest only and that is to fight proxy wars on behalf of America. US will not allow any allies to rise to the rank of US power  and status. US is playing God to others but nevertheless her evil ways and deeds will soon catch up with her and US will definitely face retribution and encounter internal implosion, political and economic collapse in no time.

The world must realise how many wanton wars, attrocities and terrorism US has imposed on other countries which failed or refused to toe the line of US dictatorship and hegemony. All peace loving countries must wake up and unite to remove the satanic regime in Washington. The world can only become more peaceful and safer with the collapse  and demise of the Evil Empire, the United States of America.

How credible is Moodys

Moodys downgraded China’s credit rating to negative sounded like another China bashing and the standard remarks from the bunch of western doomsayers. China is in big trouble everyday for the last 40 years in the minds of these China bashers.

While Europe is at the brink of a recession, the US barely trying to avoid one, and China is still chalking up 6.9% of growth as the second biggest economy in the world, its credit rating is negative as far as Moodys is concerned. What about the more than US$3 trillion of reserves against the USA as a debtor nation with more than US$15 trillion debt, if I could remember the numbers correctly? And the US is printing money recklessly to shore up its economy and its debt and commanding a better credit rating than China, the banker of the USA?

What a joke! And what were the reasons for this downgrading? China’s surging debt burden? How much is this compares to the US govt’s debt burden? China’s inability to reform? Is that a reasonable reason for downgrading the credit rating? Oh, the Chinese economy is the weakest in a quarter of a century? True, but that is comparing to an economy that was hot with double digit growth to single digit growth in the 7% that many countries will be salivating. Why not compare the Chinese economy with Europe and the USA? One is still having very good positive growth and the other two are about to kaput? What kind of comparison and analysis is that?

And what reform is Moodys talking about? Deng Xiaoping had started the reform ball rolling in the late 1970s. And China today is a totally new China. Not good enough because China is not subordinated to the Americans and not allowing the Americans to dictate how and what China should or should not do, allowing the Americans to drive the Chinese stock markets anywhere it wants it to go?  Let me quote  what Jean Pierre Lehmann wrote in his article, ‘The Trump effect on China’ in the ST on 3 Mar, ‘President Barack Obama’s statement, ”We can’t let countries like China write the rules of the global economy, we should write those rules”, is especially offensive. What rules were we (the West and Japan) playing to when we were carving up and exploiting China? Besides would it not be more proper in the 21st century to be writing the rules together?’

Has Moodys joined the circus industry and hiring clowns as analysts? China is going around the world buying up big corporations costing billions. China is the top trading partners of more than 30 nations. The Chinese economy is comprehensive, from infrastructure to manufacturing, banking, commerce, high tech, low tech, agriculture, farming etc etc. The Chinese economy is not going down like the US and Europe.

Wrong to Penalise Singapore Electric Vehicles

Wrong to Penalise Singapore Electric Vehicles
Obsolete Regulations & Mindsets Obstruct Singapore’s War on Climate Change

Strange, but true.  A wholly electric vehicle (EV) with dual electric motors that emits no carbon emission has been penalized with a S$15,000 carbon tax surcharge. Singapore Land Transport Authority (LTA) has wrongly determined that the all-electric Tesla Model S vehicle “produced 222g/km of CO2, putting it within the S$15,000 surcharge band under Singapore's Carbon Emission-based Vehicle Scheme”.

The truth is the Tesla Model S in motion produces zero carbon emission since it is solely propelled by 2 electric motors and has no additional combustion engine or fuel cell on board.  As a pure battery electric vehicle, its electric motors are the sole propulsion source; hence, there is no fuel consumption and zero CO2 exhaust emissions.

According to LTA’s own Guidelines, the Tesla Model S vehicle should actually be entitled to the S$30,000 carbon rebates like the Peugeot Ion or the BMW i3 electric hatchback. Ironically, even the BMW i8 plug-in hybrid, which actually emits CO2 on the road managed to qualify for LTA’s S$30,000 carbon rebate, while the zero emission Tesla Model S is penalized.

The LTA further clarifies that it was not the Tesla vehicle that emits CO2 but rather it is the source-generator of its electric power amounting to 444 watt-hour/km produced and charged by the Singapore Grid’s gas-operated power stations. These fossil-fuel based gas-operated power stations are contracted by the Singapore Government to supply electricity exclusively throughout the country.  No other source of electric power beyond 10MW can be legally generated without a power generation license from the Government.

The LTA had strangely factored in the carbon emissions by the fossil-fuel based gas-operated power station when generating the electricity used for charging the Tesla vehicle, and penalized the Tesla vehicle (as well as other electric vehicle) owner for the carbon emissions produced by the fossil-fuel gas–operated power stations.

By extending and attributing its carbon tax surcharge to the source electricity generators, the LTA departed from its own guidelines to wrongfully penalized the Tesla S Model and other all-electric vehicles.

The LTA’s own Guidelines refer to the applicable taxable carbon emissions as ”the release of carbon dioxide from the use of a vehicle”.  They further added that “the g CO2 /km is a measure that quantifies the weight of carbon dioxide (CO2) released for every kilometre that the vehicle is driven i.e. the vehicle’s fuel efficiency”.  The LTA Guidelines refer ONLY to CO2 produced by the vehicle in motion.

Nowhere in its CEVS Guidelines or Press Release on the subject did the LTA, or the Government, ever affirm that the fossil-fuel based gas-operated power stations could or would be the incidental source for its carbon tax surcharge.

It is more baffling and even disingenuous when the LTA explained that it was following the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) R101 standards.  Nowhere in any of the tests under the UNECE R101 standards did they mandate the measurement of carbon emission of an all-electric vehicle like the Tesla Model S from a remote power station source.

COP21 The Paris Agreement Forgotten?
It is barely 3 months after COP21 UN Climate Summit Conference in Paris in Decembr 2015, and where the Paris Agreement (which was also signed by Singapore) essentially defines the key criteria by which to judge sustainability efforts.  Sustainability from hereforth shall mean low or zero carbon emission. It mandates that fossil energy is excluded from all sustainability considerations. The Paris Agreement “also recognises that sustainable lifestyles and sustainable patterns of consumption and production, with developed country Parties taking the lead, play an important role in addressing climate change”. The emphasis on renewables-based sustainability is unmistakable.

The global movement to make fossil fuel history involves the promotion of all-electric vehicles that are truly sustainable.  A new mindset is needed to replace obsolete policies and practices that favour fossil-fuel vehicles.  New policies, infrastructures and practices are needed to roll out the new imperative of a sustainable electric mobility consisting of transportation powered by renewable energy.

A Singapore future reality story demonstrates how one country could enhance her energy security by reducing her fossil fuel dependency by 16%-20% with a 100% electric vehicle population.  This is achieved by a nation-wide effort to harness the  the creative energy of a resourceful people to use solar and urban wind energy to produce carbon-neutral electricity for EV charging as well as daily and commercial living.

The Tesla Model S case is an unfortunate incident of taking many steps back from COP21 and withdrawn into comfortable policies and practices.  Obsolete regulations and mindsets will obstruct Singapore’s War on Climate Change, and make it harder to fulfill Singapore’s carbon reduction and climate change promises to the world made in Paris last December.

An Australian lambasted the Australian govt for its hideous crime

Reported in the Today paper on 6 Mar 16, ‘2 years wasted searching for MH370 wrong area, says Australian pilot
‘KUALA LUMPUR — Malaysia Airlines MH370 has not been found because the search area is several hundred kilometres or more off the mark, says an Australian veteran commercial pilot.
In an article in The Australian, Mr Byron Bailey criticised the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) for wasting two years searching for the missing Boeing 777 by relying on a “nonsensical end-of-flight theory”, which resulted in the search area being several hundred kilometres or more too far to the north and east….’
Does anyone want to know why an aircraft with 239 passengers could go off the air without anyone raising an alarm after flying for 7 and a half hours? The whole search circus was clearly to mislead the search parties to search in a wrong area.

This is the crime of the centuries and many parties are involved to silence the crime and tragedy. The aircraft and 239 passengers were too big a load to go missing and untraceable, by accident.

No one is above the law? Not in Singapore

Below is a letter by Felicia, a mother who lost his son in National Service during an accident. She went to court to sue the officers and SAF for negligence but the case was thrown out as there is a law that says officers/men of the SAF cannot be sued. Here is the law.
‘Section 14 of the Govt Proceedings Act precludes a serviceman from commencing any action in tort arising from any (and all) negligence during their active service, against the SAF.’
Taking this act literally, and now a court judgement, the SAF and its officers/men are above the law. If they killed or maimed anyone out of negligence, they cannot be sued. My God, I thought only an emperor or a dictator is above the law. Would such an act compromise the standard of professionalism. safety and the lives of soldiers in the SAF when officers/men think they are immuned from the law and thus acted less diligently?
Now we have a mother crying desperately for justice. The SAF said they have compensated her with $50,000 which some commented could not even buy a COE for a car. How much did the mother and many mothers paid to raise a child, and the pain and aches and love cost? $50,000, that’s all? Ok, sorry to make this comment. Please don’t ask me how much I want or think should be enough.
Read the mother’s letter and keep quiet. Do not say anything or express your grief, compassion, empathy for the mother. It did not happen to your loved ones so let it pass. It happened, let’s move on. The law that provides for the SAF and its officer/men to be above the law shall remain. Would they even think of a COI to review this law like the Benjamin case?

My dearest Dom, my heart continues to bleed for you. It has been 3 years and 10 months since you were taken from me and still, I haven’t been able to get any closure.
Today, Honourable Judicial Commissioner Kannan Remesh ruled that I have no case against those responsible for your death – the SAF and the 2 officers who did not follow the training exercise SOP. He also ruled that I have to pay for their legal costs. Dom, how can I possibly pay them for taking away your life? Where is the justice? It seems, the price I paid has not been enough. Your death has not been high enough a price for SAF and the 2 officers, and now, not enough for Honourable Remesh, it seems.
They must be right, of course – the judge, the ministers, the SAF and their officers. They are experts in their fields. Individuals who studied and trained for years to be in their current positions. What do I know? I’m only a mother to two sons. I only know to love my sons, to nurture them to become young men who will do right by others, to live with dignity, decency and human compassion. What do I know? They are the experts in their fields. They must know best. They do no wrong.
Dom, in these past 3+ years, I have been worn-down, beaten and defeated by the very government I taught you to trust; worn-down, beaten and defeated by the very system I counseled you to have faith in; worn-down, beaten and defeated by the very people I advised you to respect and honor.
Dom, forgive me. I taught you wrong.
Felicia

Najib’s 1MDB - Daft Asians never learn

White men are angels. White men are honest and trustworthy. White men are reliable. White men’s banks are the safe havens for putting savings away. The Swiss chief public prosecutor had confirmed that Najib misappropriated US$4b of 1MDB fund in a criminal probe. You mean they did not know this and work up one morning to find out that Najib was committing a criminal act? You mean all the depositors of slush funds in Swiss banks are honest people, not dictators, politicians, gangsters, fraudsters? Why singled out Najib at this time? Who is behind all these and pulling the strings?

Here is a quote from South China Morning Post,

Switzerland’s chief prosecutor said on Friday a criminal investigation into state fund 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) had revealed that about US$4 billion appeared to have been misappropriated from Malaysian state companies.
The office of Swiss Attorney General Michael Lauber said it had formally asked Malaysia to help with its probes into possible violations of Swiss laws related to bribery of foreign officials, misconduct in public office, money laundering and criminal mismanagement at the fund. It said it had identified four cases of alleged criminal conduct….’
Why would daft Asians want to put their money in white man’s banks and think it is safe? Colonial mentality? Drinking too much white man’s urine, reading too much of white man’s lies in white man’s media?
How many more Asians and Africans and Middle Eastern dafts are still parking their ill gotten gains in white man’s banks in Europe and the US? They are safe only when the white men want them to be. Give them an excuse, a political reason, like a need for regime change, they will freeze the accounts and share the loot among themselves, or in the case of Najib, to expose it to destroy him.
Thank you for believing in the white gods.

Any lesson to be learnt?

Growing up is hard to do

This year’s Oscar Award Ceremony is called Blackout Oscars by the event’s host Chris Rock, a black actor himself. The reason, all the 20 nominees for the Oscars were white men and women. Rock went on to say that if there was an Oscar for the best host, he would not be called to host the event, as they would want a white man to win the award. Many black celebrities boycotted the event, including Will Smith.

Allow me to quote a few of the remarks made by Rock as reported in the Today paper by Christopher Toh.  ‘It’s the 88th Academy Awards, which means this whole black nominees thing has happened at least 71 other times…You’ve got to figure that it happened in the ‘50s, in the 60s, you know? Black people did not protest. Why? Because we had real things to protest at the time…Too busy because raped and lynched to care about who won Best Cinematographer. You know when your grandmother is swinging from the tree, it’s really hard to care about Best Documentary For Foreign Short, … adding that the “In Memoriam” package would high light “black people who got shot by the cops on their way to the movies”.’

And his final dig at the Oscars, ‘One solution to the diversity issue, said Rock, was to have “black categories” such as “Best Black Friend”….’

The Americans have grown up after years of slavery and discrimination against the blacks and they could laugh at themselves. Not that the discrimination is passe. They are no longer uptight that such things cannot be spoken for fear of being accused of being racist. Only immature countries would find such black humour, yes, anything bad is called black or yellow, taboo, cannot be spoken or be thrown behind bars when some silly racists would shout racism, I am hurt, very hurt by the remarks. Don’t call me black, I am African American.

To the bananas, you get the meaning of grandma swinging from the tree?

China must start behaving like a super power

Does China understand why it is having so many problems with the USA and medium and small countries? Take a look at the USA and India and ask why these two countries have relatively little problems with irritating little countries scratching their backs. The answer is simple, behave like a big power and carry a big stick. The Americans carry a hammer and treat every country as a nail, including China, to be hammered. India will not stand any nonsense or misconduct from its neighbouring states and will act firmly when they break protocol or affronted India. India would put them into their right place immediately.

China’s trouble with the USA is of a different dimension. It is about contest for big power influence with the USA trying its best to retain its unassailable Number One superpower position and would want to keep China down. The USA has been creating problems and troubles for China in every corner of the earth and in everything and issue that China is involved. There is no escape from the clutches of the American power and the Americans would want to put China in its right place, ie a power subordinated to the USA, to toe the line, to be the whipping boy when and wherever it is useful to the USA.

The problem with the Americans is difficult to handle and would be there for a long time to come until China is at parity with the Americans in military power or better. China has rightly taken the position of tolerance and patience to keep the Americans from resorting to war. The day is getting nearer for China to stand up to the Americans.

China’s problems with the medium powers like India and Japan and the little countries like the Philippines and Vietnam are easier to deal with. The Americans and the Indians have proven it many times over, that might is right and the only way to deal with provocations from medium and small countries is to carry the big stick and be ready to use it, be firm.

The constant and repetitive irritations by the Philippines in the South China Sea must be stopped. The Philippines only understand what is might and China must use it might to sit on the Philippines to prevent it from creating more mischief in the South China Sea islands. The latest episode of China sending its warship to Wufang Reef is a good example. China must be confident to stay put and keep its warships in the region. There is no need to apologise and to quickly sail away from the islands. This a sign of weakness and uncertainty. If China believes the islands belong to China, it must act accordingly and feel free and comfortable to have its warships in its own territorial waters. And China must be confident and firm to shoo away ships that try to violate its territorial sovereignty. There cannot be any doubt about its position as owners of the islands.

It is high time China gives the Philippines an ultimate to drag away the rotting junk in one of its islands or be towed away, and to send the bill to the Philippines govt for towing fee. It is ridiculous for a big power to exercise so much restraint and inactions and be provoked constantly by a little country, to be mocked at and to be used for propaganda basis. China should tell the Philippines to stay out of its territorial waters or actions would taken, like what the Philippines had been doing, escort the Filipino boats to Hainan and only release with the payment of a fine or be blasted away like what the Indonesians are doing. The only thing China should avoid is to fire at fishing boats wildly like what the Philippines did to a Taiwanese boat, behaving like pirates.

China as a big power must behave and act like a big power. There is no running away from troubles created by countries like the Philippines and Vietnam. And acting firm would only improve the situation and reduce the number of incidents from such countries. China must know its rights as a sovereign nation and the right to take charge in its territorial waters. The more China fears trouble, try to avoid trouble by being nice, the more trouble will come looking for China.

The American and western media would never say anything positive about China’s action anyway, whether China is restraining itself or dealing firmly with the provocateurs. China must just do what is right to protect its territories and interests like what the US and India are doing.

China is a big power and must act as one.
