China’s appeasement policy towards the US is an invitation to war

The Chinese have been appeasing the Americans while the latter continue to rake up tension by more provocative actions and words. Coming from across the Pacific Ocean to the heart of Chinese territories in the South China Sea, the Americans are flying their military aircraft and naval ships close to Chinese islands. These provocations have been swallowed by the Chinese without retaliation. By so doing, the Chinese are only encouraging the Americans to be more adventurous, taking the meek response from the Chinese as signs of weakness.

Even at the Shangri La Dialogue, the Americans were so arrogant as to tell the Chinese to stop reclamation work in Chinese islands immediately. What would the Americans say or do if the Chinese were to tell them to stop reclamation work in American controlled Pacific islands? China’s response to such aggressive talks was expected, conciliatory and polite, not wanting to confront or challenge the Americans directly. This is another sign of weakness in the face of rude provocations by the Americans, and this is bad for peace when dealing with the world’s hegemon, the Number One bully.

China has not learnt its lessons from the 19th and early 20th Centuries when weaknesses would invite aggression and invasion by the foreign powers. The Japanese even told the Chinese right in the face then that it was the Chinese fault for being weak that led to the Japanese invasion of China. And if China is going to continue to show its weak front, history is going to repeat itself. The Americans and the Japanese would be more tempted to mount an attack against China with the slightest excuse they could fabricate.

When dealing with bullies and aggressive countries, China must be strong enough to meet might with might. The Americans and Japanese would only back off if China shows the resolve and confidence to take them head on. Just like the U 2 incursions into China in the past, the Americans only stopped their intrusion when China was able to knock them off from the sky.

But events have since taken a turn for the worst with the bombing of the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade and the B52 nuclear bombers flying straight into China but not taken down. Both were acts of war and the latter with the threats of dropping nuclear bombs in China cannot be accepted or tolerated. Both showed signs of weakness on the part of China and raised the level of it being attacked and harassed over and over again.

The time has come for China to knock down a few of the Poseidons if it wants to keep the bullies from more provocative acts in the South China Sea. There is no other way, and being meek, appeasement, would only lead to a war that China wants to avoid. If the Americans and the Japanese are intent to start a war against China, China must not run away. China has to make a stand now, that it would take them on in the next provocative move.

China needs a Code of Conduct for the Americans and the Japanese, that if they do such and such an act, the Chinese response would be such and such. It must be made very clear to these provocateurs that it is up to it to take them on and would not run away the next time, if it wants to avoid a war with them.

What kind of Singaporean core do you want?

Do you want a Singaporean core at the bottom worker’s level, a core in middle management, or a core at top management? Or do you just want a Singaporean core at the political leadership level?

There can be many permutations to this choice really. How about a Singaporean core at the political leadership level and a core at the worker’s level and the rest to be filled by any ‘chapalan’ foreigners? Or do you want a Singaporean core at the political leader’s level plus top management and the rest leave it to the foreigners? Just add to the variations and see which is best for the interests of the Singaporeans, or for the interests of the elite, or for the interests of the foreigners.

I hope Swee Say is not talking about a Singaporean core at the worker’s level plus a core at the political leadership and the middle and top management levels can be offered to the foreigners on a silver platter. Let’s wait to hear from him or any other minister or the PM himself on what should be the best combination for a Singaporean core.

And there could also be variation at different levels like at the worker’s level the Singaporean core should be the supervisory ranks while the worker bees and ants be left to the foreigners or is it the other way round.

What would be a bad combination against the interests of Singaporeans? It is easy to talk about core but it can be a rotten core or a smelly core that may not be good to Singaporeans. Don’t simply think talking about a core must be good to Singaporeans. Look at the real core in practice and see what it really meant.

I am not encouraged by a Singaporean core at the worker’s level. What do you think? I think if this materialized then it would be a sad day for Singaporeans.

China – Send in the clown

Pinoy President Aquino is in Japan to pay homage to the Japanese Imperial Army that invaded his country and massacred thousands of his Pinoys and looted its treasures in WW2. He may even visit the Yasukuni Shrine to pay respect to the murderers and looters of his country. And to prove how useful he is, he even branded China as the Nazi of Asia but admitted that his knowledge of history is primitive. He did not know that the Japanese was part of the German Nazi Axis that had carved out the world for the Japanese Emperor and Hitler and with the Philippines to be under the rule of the Japanese Empire. Call him silly?

China should make this clown a joke of his country. China could do a couple of things to wipe his silly smile off his stupid face. An easy thing will be to stop the import of bananas, the only thing that this country is good at producing. The second thing is to tell Hong Kong to throw out the army of Pinoy maids, the second most famous product of the Philippines. That would surely make the clown jumps around in his little circus.

Oh, he may send his biggest antique warship to fight with the Chinese Coast Guards. Hope the Captain of the biggest Pinoy warship would not quote lack of fuel and supplies and flee one more time when the Coast Guards point their water hoses and threaten to flood its deck and sink it. If it sinks in the Chinese island, they would not have any ship big enough or the capability to drag it back to the American Subic Base. It would rust there under the hot sun like the other rusty scrap that was once a naval ship rotting in another Chinese island.,

This time he may called for help from the Japanese Imperial Army after being such a good boy in Tokyo. And the Japanese Imperial Army would love to return the Philippines again after they left in WW2.

The unpredictable weather in Singapore Malaysia relations

The two states enjoyed about the finest relations since 1965 when Singapore went on an independent path as a new nation. Relations under Mahathir was hot and cold but never reach the climax like the last couple of years when Hsien Loong and Najib were like abang adek as they waltzed under the spot light beaming happily like a marriage made in heaven.

Everyone was hoping that this marriage would last a bit longer or as long as possible and more deals could be signed in a win win arrangement. The thorny and near impossible agreement on the Malayan Railway land and line came to an amicable solution that surprised everyone but to the annoyance of Mahathir. Maybe this is unforgiveable in a way.

The 1MDB is everything that was needed to launch a coup against Najib and everything appears on tender hook. Najib is fighting for his life to stay on as the PM with open revolt among the top UMNO leadership. And this has forced Najib to call an ultimatum, to be with him or against him, the latter to resign from his cabinet immediate.

The wily Malaysian politicians did not disappoint and back off from the affront by Najib. No one throw in his letter. The most vocal of his critics must have been taken aback. Show hand time, but no one dares to. Hishammuddin, his cousin, was quoted to demand three conditions to support him. He has since came out to deny the statement and said there was no rift in the UMNO leadership. His strongest critics kept quiet. The consequence of such an act could mean a political eclipse as to be outside of the ruling party would not guarantee a return to the govt. It could mean time in the wilderness, and sleeping with Mahathir in his dying days. They are too clever and too crafty to sign their death warrants when things are still so uncertain.

Najib has won be calling the bluff for the moment. Crossing the line means no return. It is better to be safe than to be sorry. But this is not the end and Najib’s victory may be shortlived. A lot of under table dealings are going on and the schemers are working doubly hard to convince the challengers to Najib’s leadership to take a stand, to force an issue, to win more converts to the side of the coup leaders.

There is danger and Najib could wake up tomorrow with the whole cabinet turning against him and that would put an end to the warm relationship with Singapore. And many mega projects would be at stake. Some would be shelved or renegotiated with the new power brokers. Some of the dead projects in the junk yard would be revived. The crooked bridge would be top on the list if Mahathir’s camp won. And cold wind will start to blow from the North.

How much time is left before things take a turn for the worse? My recent trip across the Causeway saw a huge reclamation project on the eastern side of the connect right next to the Causeway. The Malaysians have filled it up practically up to the middle of the Causeway and it would only need the Singapore side to do likewise to bring the two land mass together as one. And if this is extended to both sides of the Causeway, both states would be joined together like inseparable twins and there will be no longer any need for the crooked bridge to come alive again.

Would there be enough time to strengthen the relations between the two sides with a joint land mass through reclamation before the weather turns foul and having to say good bye to Najib and to face the bitter cold North wind again?

Lese majeste in Sin City

Lawrence Wong is sounding out a proposal to pass an equivalent of the lese majeste law in the republic and this has raised some eyebrows. Lese majeste is only applicable in a kingdom where there is a living king and it is just rude and disloyal to talk bad about a monarch. There will be no such law in Sin City for sure. This is a republic and there is no king to be loyal and be obedient to. But there is likely to be something similar in form to protect the name of the founding father, to prevent it from being abused, misused, or from profiteering like turning it into a brand for commercial merchandise. It used to be just an imagination but it is becoming true when many loyal believers would buy anything with a name on it, called branded product. Now brands YSL, FCUK etc will have a challenger in LKY.

Is this a bad thing for business or for people in love with the founding father? Or should a royalty be paid for the use of the name or for loving the founding father? I thought it would be such a great honour to have the name boldly and openly in display on goods and products or on the chest of everyone? Can it be about royalties that such a law is needed?

On the other extreme, the name could be used in very bad form for very unpleasant reasons by very horrible people. This should be protected, the question is how? Some may wonder why there is a need to protect the name of a founding father that is well loved by the people. All founding fathers are well respected and loved by the people. The thought of messing around with the name of a founding father is never heard of.

This must be another Uniquely Singapore thing, that the name of a founding father needs protection. Does it make any sense? Is this another case of putting up a target to be knocked down or shot at and needing protection so that it would not be knocked down or shot at? Singaporeans have this bad habit of craving for anything that the govt banned, like books, comics and movies and also chewing gum. Banning the use of LKY will only up the interest of the mob mentality.

The thought of the need of such a law says that something is not right about the whole thing. Or this could be another one of those Singaporean traits, kiasu. Better be safe than be sorry. What else need to be protected? I can understand if Hsien Loong needs more body guards after the disclosure of himself being a target to terrorists. Who else needs protection?

Swee Say – No U turn on foreign worker policy

Swee Say is really on the ball. One month in the job he is already like a fish in the water. He held a press conference and used charts to brief the media in details on the policies of MOM. And he stressed that there will be no U turn on the curb on foreign workers. The cap would still be on to ensure that there will be a Singaporean core in the workforce. Building a Singaporean core of workers is important or we would end up with more foreign workers than Singaporean workers. That is bad.

See any change? Under Chuan Jin, the focus was on building up a Singaporean core of PMETs if I am not mistaken. Or at least Tharman was talking about building a Singaporean core of finance talents for top management. Even if the plan is for Singaporeans to be top management material in 30 years time, it is still a plan, better than nothing.

What is this Singaporean core of workers so that more Singaporeans can become workers? Would Swee Say be interested in a Singaporean core of PMETs? Is there a change in policy focus that we want to have more Singaporeans as workers? Is this a good thing? Are we telling Singaporeans to aspire to be workers because the govt wants to have more Singaporeans as workers?

Is this part of the plan to tell Singaporeans university education is not necessary as there will now be more worker’s jobs for them? Maybe we need to wait a bit longer for him to tweak the Fair Compensation Framework to favour our PMETs.

Amos Yee – How to cleanse this ‘devil’?

Putting him in jail wlll not save him. He is too evil, incorrigible and needs tougher measures if he is to be saved. A minimum of 18 months of reformative training under some angels is the least that is needed to save this bad boy. Heard they are considering 30 months of reformative training to be effective. The good hearted people are overstressing themselves to find a solution to save this boy from the devil. No stone will be left unturned to save him. You cannot blame them from trying.

I would like to make a suggestion. How about exorcising him? Get a priest to work on him, pull out the oldest scriptures on exorcism, get the most powerful priest to drive the devil out of him. The bathing of flower water would definitely not work on this bad boy. He is not a pagan or idol worshipper. Otherwise it would be quite easy. After bathing with flower water, let him drink a glass of water soaked with the ashes of burnt yellow charm paper. That would work.

Please do not suggest burning him on a stake. That would be too harsh. Like his lawyer Alfred Dodwell said, reformative training would be ‘disproportionate to the offence in question.’ So how, imprisonment would not work, long reformative training inappropriate and burning him on a stake surely cannot. What about water treating or water dunking? Anyone want to suggest bomoh?

It is very tough and unappreciated trying to save such a bad boy with a devil in him. Anyone got better ideas to save Amos the bad boy? Amos Yee is so lucky to be receiving so much attention from good hearted people. Be grateful and be thankful, and the best part, all free, no need to pay.

Amos Yee, why are you so difficult? You are making so many people worrying for you, trying to save you from the dark side. All because of you, so many people have to work extra hard when they could be spending time on other more important matters.

The Americans claiming the whole of South China Sea

Everyone is flabbergasted that China is claiming a large part of the South China Sea. The other littoral states are also in the rush to claim as much as they could. The South China Sea islands were uninhabited and for a long time, virgin land, terra nullius. Under historical precedence, such islands are finder’s keepers. What is so wrong about that? Whoever found it first earns the right to ownership.

Compare this to the European way of gunboat diplomacy, ‘I came, I saw and I conquered’ or I planted my flag and the land belonged to my king or queen. Who cares whether the land was already occupied by the natives. What natives, no natives. Natives did not count. And today, these natives are asking the Europeans to take sides with them to claim no man’s land, the very intruders that colonized them against their will, with the barrel of the gun.

Again, what is so great about China claiming the whole of South China Sea when the Americans are claiming all the oceans, including the South China Sea? No, the daft did not see that. The daft did not know the Americans are claiming the whole of South China Sea and the whole world. The Americans are here with all their warship and telling everyone to stop reclamation or else.

Who the Americans think they are? They own the South China Sea and everyone must obey their dictates? When the Americans told the countries making claims to the islands to stop reclamation and other activities, it is as good as saying, ‘Look, you silly asses, these islands and the whole South China Sea belong to the USA, the Empire. And the Empire is saying, stop your activities, we are taking charge of these islands and the South China Sea. They belong to US.’

Can the daft see this? The Americans are claiming everything, more than what China has claimed, and what the other states are claiming. They are the de facto owner. And on what basis are the Americans claiming the South China Sea? The big gun of course! Might is right, and with might, the Americans can claim everything and threaten anyone disobeying or going against them.

Step aside, all you daft, the South China Sea belongs to the Americans. They are taking over. They are sending in their ships and aircraft to patrol the Sea, Get it? Let me put it in simple English. While the owner of the house is shouting at the neighbor next door, a big bully has moved in and is taking over the whole neighbourhood without them knowing. And they are so happy believing the big bully is there to help them. The Americans agitated the silly countries to quarrel with China, to claim China’s islands. And when they started to quarrel among themselves, the Americans walked in as the policeman to tell everyone to get lost.

The daft countries would always be ruled if they did not know what is happening, what is the big picture. For playing the silly games of claiming other people’s land, they are going to lose everything, including what they have. The Empire is here to take over and to rule. And they are here on the invitation of Asean states.

Redbean Soup in the process of printing

                Redbean Soup

Tonic for the soul

This is a collection of essays and satires posted in http://mysingaporenews.blogspot.sg by Chua Chin Leng aka Redbean

My book is off to the printer. It would be just about 200 pages but only managed to squeeze in 54 articles. I thought I could put in 100 articles but with an intro appetiser to each article to bring it into context, it is the best I could do.

Think should be able to get it out before end of this month. Waiting for confirmation from printer on date of delivery.

Thanks folks for the encouragement.

The daft’s understanding of disputed territories

The South China Sea islands are disputed territories so no one can conduct land reclamation. Who said so, the Empire said so. China first laid claims to the islands donkey years ago, centuries ago. Johnny comes lately makes his claim to the islands as well, so the islands are now disputed territories.

The Philippines are claiming Sabah. So Sabah is disputed territories and the Malaysian govt cannot to anything to the state until some warlord decides who has the right to the territory. If not happy, bring in the Americans and their warships to arbitrate according to American’s interest to favour whichever party. What if someone claims that Singapore belongs to him, so Singapore is a disputed territory and no more land reclamation can be carried out, no more building of HDB flats etc etc.

Is this an acceptable argument, a reasonable logic? What if the Red Indians start to make claims to the USA, Mexico starts to make claims to California and Texas and New Mexico, would these states also become disputed territories and all works must stop?

The daft are very easy to convince and very easy to con. The Americans are using power logic, using gunboat diplomacy and thinking that might is right all over again. This is the 21st Century and the Americans may have a lot of big guns, but other countries also have big guns. You want to play the game of chicken, come lets play.

What would the daft say? What would the daft think? Oops, sorry, the daft can’t think. They just parrot whatever the Americans are saying as the right thing. Ng Eng Hen also warned about the use of force and ‘might is right’ in the Shangri La Dialogue. The gangsters have brought in their biggest team this time with their Vietnamese killer, the Number One hawk in John McCain, to support another new hawk in Ash Carter.

Might is right is the American way when they have overwhelming power like in the Middle East where they could wallop the Arabs and the Arabs could not hit back. Now with ISIS growing as the next force to reckon with, the Americans knew they could not deal with them, so they shift their theatre of war to the South China Sea. It would be good if the ISIS could do more damages to the Americans in homeland and keep them at home and not doing mischief all over the world.

ISIS has promised to fight in American soil. The prospect of that happening should bring Ash Carter and John McCain rushing home to cover their asses. If that would to happen they will have no time to talk about disputed territories in South China Sea, show of force and their pivot to Asia. The only way to deal with the Americans is in homeland America, where their comfort zone is too close for comfort.

Remember George Bush Junior running for cover during 911?

All Singapore Stuff(ASS)

Singapore - Statutory Board Media Development Authority (MDA) has axed 33 full-time staff today, ST has learned

- More at AllSingaporeStuff.com http://www.allsingaporestuff.com/article/stat-board-mda-retrenches-33-full-time-staff-after-trs-closure
FB: http://fb.com/allsgstuff

A MDA staff "Amanda" who declined to give her real name as she was not authorised to speak with the media informed ST that MDA has 41 full-time staff to monitor Fabrications About the PAP Facebook page, Calvin Cheng Facebook page, Mothership.sg and SMRT (Feedback).

"But MDA also hires good honours graduates from local universities. We have 67 full-time graduate staff on superscale pay on 24-hours shift to monitor sonofadud.com and straitstimesreview.com".

The above posted in All Singapore Stuff and reposted in several aggregator sites revealed that the MDA is employing a substantial number of staff just to monitor the social media. I am not sure how true or accurate the information is, assuming that it is true, just to monitor the above mentioned, 108 staff are employed.

Assuming the average pay of the staff is $4000 pm, annually each staff will cost at least $60,000 minimum. The 108 staff would thus cost more than $6m annually and likely to be much higher given the fact that many are superscale grades.

It is not sure how many sites are being monitored, but the number could go up to the hundreds or thousands. Assuming that 100 sites are being monitored, conservatively, that would mean a budget of $600 million annually! Can this be true? Is this too much to pay just to monitor the social media? How much was actually spent to do this kind of thing and how necessary, and is the money worth spending?

How many staff are employed by MDA to do this unproductive work?

Asean - 50 years of peace and stability

The Asean region enjoyed 50 years of peace and stability and the countries made good with the time to pursue economic development that made Asean the up and coming new rich nations of the world. The only blemish during this period of peace and prosperity was the Vietnam War where the Americans attempted to maintain their military presence in the region and to keep Vietnam as a semi colony, replacing the French, Fortunately they were defeated by the Vietnamese and chased out of the region. This was followed up by the nationalists in the Philippines. They took back Subic Naval Base and Clark Air Base from the Americans, leaving the region free of American military bases and free from warfare for the last 50 years.

The founding fathers of Asean were wary of the rivalry between big powers and adopted a policy of neutrality, formalised under the concept of peace, freedom and neutrality or Zopfan. The big powers were kept out of the region and dealt at arms length to prevent them from doing mischief and inciting interstate rivalry among the Asean countries. Asean leaders played the game well and enjoyed the fruit of peace and stability without the big powers messing around in the region.

Today, with silly and ambitious leaders that have forgotten how Asean came about, and the hardearned peace, some of these jokers are itching to go to war, to be heroes and to make dead heroes of their people. War and glory appear to be a very attractive fancy and with the money they wasted on all the military hardware, they wanted to give a good display of the destructive power of the weapons they have paid for, believing that they could kill others and would not be killed. To them war is fun and a very macho thing like in Hollywood. Some have shown tendencies of being trigger happy by shooting at fishing boats and even provoking other countries to engage in arm conflict.

Some Asean states have willingly invited the Americans back to boss around in the region, demanding acceptance as the de facto Empire and calling the shot on regional affairs, appointing themselves as the uninvited policeman of the region, a role that the founding fathers of Asean had rejected and would not allow it to happen. Asean countries can look after themselves and do not need big powers to come here to dictate to them. For the last 50 years this was the case.

What is happening today, with some Asean states happily offering to host American soldiers and unashamingly calling the Americans masters, have turned Asean into the pawns of big power rivalry again. Asean’s neutrality has been compromised and the consequences of forgetting how they got here is to see open military conflict in the region, something that Asean has avoided for so long. The stupidity and shallowness of the Asean leaders would find Asean caught in the crossfire of big power rivalry, a price they have to pay for prostituting to the big powers.

It would be a sad day when the region is embroiled and engulfed by the fire and destruction of war. Asean countries got only themselves to blamed for betraying the principles of their founding fathers. The last 50 years were peaceful. The next 50 years could be war and conflict and their money would be needed to buy more military hardware, their people would become collaterals of wars, and the stability for economic development gone. Asean countries could end up like the Middle East, thanks for inviting the Empire to roost and incite tension and war in the name of peace.

NUS and NTU needs a washing machine

Singapore is very proud of NUS and NTU that have been ranked among the best universities in the world. As an alumnus it is a good feeling to be a member of prestigious institutions even if the rankings have been the subject of ridicules and uncomplimentary remarks. What is important is the aspiration to want to be the best, and for doing so there are many things that must be put right in the process of getting there, even if we are not there.

In brief, without going into an academic discourse, there are four main factors that contributed to the quality of a learning institution, the academic staff, the students, the culture of learning, and the infrastructure. The most difficult to achieve good and respectable quality are the students and the culture. The latter is a complex issue that can prove to be evasive and defeating. As for the students, it is an issue of that is all we got. But today, good students can be bought or brought in from all over the world. If the responsibility of educating the children of the country is secondary, we can buy all the top students from the world to be here. But this is unlikely except when the govt is made up of silly asses that think this is a non country, where the interests of the citizens are expendable. If the children of our citizens are not top material we will give the places to the gentiles of the world.

The quality of the academic staff and the infrastructure are easier to manage. We have the money and can build and provide whatever that is needed. The most advance leading edge equipment and facilities would be made available. As for the academic staff, if we want the best from the world, we have the money, we can even relocate Yale, Princeton, Harvard or Cambridge lock, stock and barrel here. It is only a matter of price.

While we are in blind pursuit of quality and reputation, to create the best learning institutions here, we must not be so blind to bring in the shit and fakes as well. We have our embarrassing moments of fakes in our midst and held in high regards by other fakes who could not tell the difference between a fake and the real stuff. And we also have a lot of creeps and rogues that are hired to beef up the quality of our institutions. Unbelievable! How can the institutions live with fakes, shits and character flawed professors and teaching staff to teach our students?

Some organizations, even govt related, can dismiss fakes and degree mills as no crime, as part and parcel of importing foreigners and living the fakes. But for institutions that are being pep up to be the best among the best, any slipshod or shits must be gotten rid of immediately. There is no room for mediocrity or fakes and flawed personalities if we want to be the best. And one by one the fakes and freaks and shitty characters are revealing themselves. The latest as reported in the TRE, and I quote, ‘NUS assistant law professor Sundram Peter Soosay was convicted by the court yesterday (29 May) of assaulting a 70-year-old cabby, Mr Sun Chun Hua, while drunk.’

Other than the aspiration to be the best institutions of learning, it is madness to have fakes and shits among the academic staff to teach our students. The thought of their existence, and they are given the responsibilities to teach our young undergraduates/post graduates, is simply disgusting. How many of such fakes and shits is still hiding in our world best institutions and being paid world best pay and doing damage to our students? Eventually the reputation of these institutions would cave in. It is very unflattering to be infamous for having fakes and shits as teaching staff and very embarrassing for graduates to have been taught by them.

I recommend the two institutions to buy the best washing machine, those with fuzzy logic, to clean up the shits and fakes in them. Please don’t swear that all is well. We pay top dollars and should be getting the best, not freaks and sluts to shit on our young and impressionable minds. The two institutions have a grave responsibility to do due diligence to the public funds given to them to ensure that we have the best to teach our young. Please do not just believe in the papers and testimonials. I can buy tons of them for a song. Not only there are degree mills, there are also testimonial mills.

When weakness is strength

Goliath took on David and lost. The PAP has recently taken on two Davids and won. Roy and Amos were two little midgets clashing with a behemoth and no one would expect them to do a Goliath killing act. First battle and both lost badly, no fighting chance, no contest. Many would think that would be the end of the two young men, They have absolutely no capital or resources to mount a serious challenge even if given a second chance. This assumption is only partially right. Their lack of capital is in fact their strength. When they have nothing else to look forward to, nothing to lose, and with a nerve tough as steel, they would not accept defeat and crawl away. They stood up to fight, with everything they got. Nothing is going to stop them now.

Roy has declared war and going for broke. Amos had refused any probation and refused to be sent to reformative training. He demanded to be sent to jail. This is something the authority never expected. He is fearless. When a jail sentence is nothing to fear, what else can frighten him, what will he be afraid of, who will he be afraid of? Roy and Amos are like two droids programmed just to fight, with their minds focused to take their enemies down, and to go down with their enemies.

The suicide bombers are fearless and cannot be stopped when they chose to die with their enemies. Roy and Amos are in some ways like the fearless suicide bombers. You may call them fanatical, so what? They know what they are up to, they know the stakes involved. The ordinary guys would have many things to hold him back, many things to think about and would end up as kiasu, kiasi and kia cheng hu. Anyone thinks Roy and Amos would fit into this mould to be cowed and go down on their knees?

Roy is talking more and louder. He is doing a lot of research and has just posted another long article in his blog and reposted in the TRE titled ‘How the PAP turned against the Singaporeans from the mid 80s’. This is a fairly long piece but interesting to read. And so is Amos, and his postings. He refused to be gagged. He will keep talking and talking as freely as he wants, to say his peace. It is unbelievable for a boy of his tender age to take on the establishment and the masses of unthinking adults baying for his blood, and making everyone looking so evil.

The PAP must have regretted picking on these two young men thinking it would be a piece of cake, They are sinking into a quagmire. The most they can do is to keep suing them and keep mounting on the pressure, hoping that they would break or run away. They didn’t and are standing their ground to fight on with everything they got. Using the law and legal institutions against two young men whose crimes are questionable in the eyes of the public would backfire.

The two are turning their weaknesses into strength in a never ending battle against all odds. They will go down, but not pulling the behemoth down with them.

Asia and Asean beware – The Americans are here to start a war

The peace in Asia and SE Asia is at risk. The Americans have shown their
true intent in its pivot to Asia, to dominate the region as the Empire.
They are claiming the right to meddle in the affairs in the region, to
bully the countries here, to throw their weight around to show that they
are the Number One Gangster in the region. Accept American hegemony or else
get a black eye.

The Americans tried the insidious way of allowing their running dogs like
Japan and the Pinoys to do the barking and biting. They tried to rope in
the South Koreans, the Indians, the Indonesians, the Malaysians and other
Asean countries, to be part of the gang to go against China and any other
country challenging their supremacy. They failed to get these countries to
be part of their pointman in a war against China.

Asian and Asean countries do not want war. They know how destructive and
dangerous war can be to their countries and people. War means the Americans
would triumph and they will forever be under the control of the American
Empire. They would not want to be used and manipulated by the Americans to
fight and die for the Americans. They are staying out.

Now the Americans are showing their hand, having failed to get the hands of
other Asian and Asean countries to do their fighting. It is now all hands
on the table, the Americans, the Japanese and the Pinoys against China who
would likely bring in the Russians and the North Koreans. After setting the
Middle East on fire, the Americans are here in South East Asia to start
another fire. This time this fire is going to be very big and could burn
the whole world when it is lit.

The Americans are dangerous, and are telling the Asian and Asean states
that it would use brute force against anyone refusing to acknowledge the
Empire is in charge.  They are demanding that China stopped their land
reclamation immediately. China would show them their middle finger for
sure.

The situation now is Redcon 2. The gangsters have spoken. Their warships and weapons of war are here.

The Americans are here to rule. Forget about the pivot. Forget about the
crap of protecting freedom of navigation and over flight.  It is Pax Americana that they are here for. And they are daring China for a fight in China's backyard. This is a declaration of war.

Asian and Asean countries must prepare for war in the region, a war brought
about by the Evil Empire that claimed to come in peace and for peace, but a
peace under its domination.

Bow everyone or be flattened. You are with me or against me. Now is the
time for the Asian and Asean countries that have been buying and upgrading
their military arsenal to see if they are of any use in the face of a big
bully.

Amos - Face of the most dangerous boy

This boy made a few rants in his Youtube post about a politician and a religious leader.  He has been held in remand prison for 18 days though he is only 16. His hand was handcuffed, his legs shackled ala prisoners from Guantanamo when he appeared in court. He has been found guilty of posting pornographic material on the youtube that would excite young people into experimenting with sexual acts.

He is now awaiting sentence. The prosecution is asking for a 12 to 18 months reformative training. The boy is asking for a jail sentence. And the prudes, and the highly virtuous gang, and there are so many in paradise, are cheering, and looking forward to see how this dangerous boy would be punished, would be put away for the good of the people. He is so dangerous that the 50 year old man fled in fear after a sneaky slap at the boy. That man probably wet his pants while running away. And people who are normally kind and compassionate would not even say any good words for him. Not even the Kindness Movement. Dangerous or not?

So far no one has been beaten or hurt by him, or killed by him. So far there has been no reports of young boys and girls imitating his suggestive cartoon to experiment with the wheelbarrow. I am not sure if there are adults that are so stimulated by this boy to push out the wheelbarrow to play. Not sure if the believers of the religious leader he called horrible have been hurt badly. Some have said they were not affected, in line with their forgiving teachings and have forgiven him.

I am still staring at the above photo trying to imagine two horns growing from his head. To me he looks angelic. Maybe a devil in disguise.

What do you think?  Is Amos so dangerous?

American propaganda in full swing to attack China

A few days ago there was a report about China’s investment in Indonesia and the basket of infrastructure projects it is offering to Jokowi. The most important piece of the article is a sneak comment that the Indonesians are wary of the Chinese as if the Indonesians are not wary of the Australians and the Americans. Who poses an immediate threat to the Indonesians, China or Australia or the Americans?

Who twisted Suharto’s arm during the Asian financial crisis to force the closure of ailing banks but allowed their own failed banks to continue by pumping more money into them? Are the Indonesians that stupid not to see who was the devil? Are the Indonesians so daft to sign a deal with the Chinese without doing their due diligence? And the Chinese did not put a gun at their head like the Dutch and the European powers and during the financial crisis. What the Indonesians are negotiating with China is at arms length with both parties as equal, and working out the best deals they could get for themselves. The sneaky western reports are simply sneaky and insulting the intelligence of the Indonesians.

Yesterday, 28 May, there was a similar Bloomberg Editors’ article in the Today paper trivializing the leaders of Latin America in the same way they did to the Indonesian leaders. The Latin American leaders are stupid, daft, and are misled or cheated by the Chinese in their economic deals with China. The Latin American countries are in for a bad deal, without the Chinese putting a gun at their heads like the European colonialists and the Americans did. So, the Latin American countries had very good deals with the Americans and their colonial masters until today, with their nations’ resources exploited and robbed, that they are still trying to climb up the value chain?

What had the colonialists and the Americans being doing to the Latin Americans that today, they are still lagging behind the industrial world, and their economies are still that of developing nations? China is a new kid on the block, just entering the Latin American market to trade, not to pivot like the Americans did in Asia with their military machine and weapons of war. What is so bad with China coming to Latin America with money to trade, to buy up their natural resources that they are going to sell anyway? Should the Arab countries stop exporting their only natural resource, oil, to the world as the rest of the world is exploiting them? Who are Bloomberg Editors trying to bluff?

Or are they telling the Latin Americans to buy more arms and weapons from the Americans? Are they saying that these leaders are idiots and did not know whether they are getting a good deal or bad deal? They are still treating the rest of the world as daft colonized people, to be exploited, to be conned and to be controlled by the American and European powers. Only these powers can provide the Latin Americans good deals, like the last few centuries of colonialism and exploitation with power coming from the barrel of the gun.

Is China a threat to any Latin American country? Did China bring its warship to trade? Can the Latin Americans say no to the Chinese if the deal is not to their favour? Come off it, the world leaders are not daft anymore and will strike deals freely for their own interests. If they can’t find a good deal they would walk away and look for another better deal.

The western media would not fail to daily implant their disinformation to influence the minds of the unthinking. They have succeeded for centuries when they controlled the media. Now there are alternative media and people need not read their propaganda unthinkingly. Only stupid people and stupid media will reproduce their trash happily without thinking, and paying for it.

Amos Yee – a most serious crime in Sin City

How does one rate a crime as serious or not serious? The police have some definitions like seizable or not seizable offence that would give one an idea of how serious the crime is. Another way is to look at the resources and time allocated to the case.

Look at this Amos Yee’s case and look at the number of law enforcement officers involved, the number of prosecutors and judges and their time, and the time of the courts, my god, this is no small crime when money and talented resources are involved. For such a serious crime committed by a ranting 16 year old boy it is definitely unpardonable. The boy must be punished. Punish is the word. If he is not stopped now, imagine how bad he could be when he grows up? More time must be devoted to educate and rehabilitate this bad boy.

Putting him in jail for 2 weeks would not help him. He is hardcore stuff, dabbling in hard core porn, incorrigible and could mislead the young into porn stuff. He is more dangerous than Alvin the scholar porn artist. The next best thing is to put him under the guidance of angels. Yes, angels will do him good a lot of god. But since there are no real angels around, 12 months or 18 months of reformative training look about right. He will come out a good boy, just like NSman spending 24 mths and changing from boy to man. Jack Neo must be beaming of his new movie.

Now isn’t this a damn good idea? Keep him under watch for 18 months! Actually 18 months is too short for such a serious and unforgiveable crime. Wait, not to worry, after 18 months it would be just nice for NS for this bad boy. That would mean Amos would have been under some form of regimentation for more than 3 years. It is sure to work. And Amos and his parents would be so grateful for the special treatment and care given to him. No one deserves such attention, but under such a caring govt, it can be expected. It is for the good of the boy. Amos is in good hands.

Wonder what would happen to him if someone is to brand him as devil reincarnate? He is so lucky that the people here are so sensible and thinking individuals and would not go to that extent. Did anyone say daft?

Now which is more detrimental to Amos Yee’s well being, 2 weeks jail or 18 months of reformative training? Shit, let me rephrase this. Which is more beneficial to Amos Yee’s well being, 2 weeks jail or 18 months of reformative training?

What do you think?

Reckless Americans are extremely dangerous

What the Americans are doing in the South China Sea and what they are planning are extremely dangerous and naïve. The war game today has changed so much, and so have the combatants and their arsenal that a war between two super powers is beyond description. China is no Iraq, North Korea or any small powers that the Americans can bully, can attack knowing very well that the other party would not be able to hit back. China is no pushover and will hit back and as hard as the Americans could.

The stake is what China described as its core interest. This means China will go to war with the Americans if pushed. What would be the Americans’ game plan to think it could push China around, take a big stick to whack China and can walk away unscathed? The days when it could bomb the Chinese Embassy with China turning the right cheek are over. Today would be blow for blow. If not, just try another Chinese Embassy and see what would happen?

The only stupid reason for the Americans to think it could kick the Chinese with impunity is to do a quick surgical attack to destroy whatever China has built in the islands and walk away leaving the Chinese gasping for air but afraid to fight back. The strategy is for a quick and limited strike on Chinese territory, like in Libya or Iraq, and go home like heroes. This time the Chinese have calculated all the moves and checked all the odds and prepared for it. China would hit back. It cannot do nothing if the Americans are to take the first strike again. China cannot afford not to hit back.

China must hit back real hard at the Americans to prove that it can take on the Americans if it wants the Americans to stop its bullying. The Americans cannot expect the Chinese to let them invade China like the burning of the Summer Palace. So, what would the Chinese do, turn the other cheek again? If China could not bring down the attackers, it would have to go for the nearest American targets to mean business. You hit me I hit you. That is the only defence strategy to deal with the evil Empire. And to prevent the Americans from reacting, China has no choice but to remove all the threats in Japan and South Korea, even in the Philippines. The Americans and the Japanese would not take a counter strike quietly. And there goes your escalation to beyond control on both sides. Both countries would activate all their weapons of war on stand by and ponder over the pushing of the red button.

This is the end all scenario that the daft and cranky in Washington and the Pentagon are fooling around with. It will be game over for both China and the USA and its allies. Stop deluding that an open war with China can be contained, limited and would not blow up into a full scale nuclear war.

The Americans should stop thinking that they can still stir shit in China’s backyard with impunity by carrying a big stick.

Singapore going down under

Singapore is so desperate for space and land. Every inch of the island is already built up or designated for something. There is no more land for anything. And Singapore is scrambling for more space by reclamation from the sea. There is not much sea left to reclaim. We are just so small, a red dot. No, we can bring in more people, 10m no problem? The problem is that wherever and whenever a piece of land is created, it would be taken up quickly and nothing is left.

The new and desperate measure is digging underground. I am wondering which is more expensive, reclamation from the sea or digging into the ground? I am not sure which is more risky or dangerous to live in, highrise on reclaimed land or living inside the bedrock. Have faith in the engineers and architects doing their wonder acts to make sure these newly created space are safe to live in, no cave in, no flooding, 100% sure. For a mistake of such a nature it is unpardonable when thousands of lives are inside them.

And again, as soon as a hole is dug, or even before it is dug, it has already been assigned to some uses. And you hear people kpkb for more land. There is a grave shortage of usable land. And you have people crying we are going to bring in more people and more people. What the hell for? We are running out of land and there are people planning to bring in another few millions of foreigners to take up all the scarce land and space left.

It seems that this one trick pony has only one trick in their mind. Bring in more people, foreigners. Or is it their mission in life, to bring in more and more foreigners here? Or are they testing how many people can be squeezed into this piece of rock? And are they testing how fragile is the rock we are sitting on, when will it break apart from the bottom and bring down everything above it?

Do we owe the world to provide jobs and accommodation to their citizens that we have to work so hard, make space for them to squeeze with us until we are not able or cannot afford to build roads so that we can own and drive cars around, so that we have a little more breathing space? And we have to con the daft Sinkies that no car is good and public transport is better?

Seow! Yes, the psychiatrists would have many sickness related to such megalomaniac aspirations. Send them to the psychiatrists please.

Sin City's mission is to bring the population of the whole world to live in the island continent.
