China must ban mischievous visitors for life for bragging about raising Taiwan, Tibet and Xinjiang when in China

 Several European delegations led by their Presidents or PMs had visited China or are going to China, Merz just landed and Trump biting his nails if he will really be in Beijing. Their official agenda recently are all about trade, nothing about Taiwan, Tibet or Xinjiang. China would not allow silly and mischievous visitors to raise issues to embarrass or attack China while in China. This used to be the standard practice of western countries in the past, when China was weak and needed to trade with them. Trump may be slapping Xi everyday, but when in China, he also behaves and stays clear of stupid talks.

This silly practice has been stopped hence. But it still did not prevent silly European leaders from claiming that they raised such issues while in China like the rogues led by Von de Leyen and Antonio Costa. They were sent around Beijing in buses instead of the usual Red Flag limousines. After their short trip and meeting on the same morning of arrival, they held a press briefing in Beijing and claimed to have raised issues of human rights to tell the Washington regime that they did what was told. China did the necessary, sent them out on the next flight without even offering lunch. No lunch for silly clowns. In and out of Beijing within hours as unwelcomed visitors.

China was too kind. China must make it a policy that any clowns visiting China and raising such silly issues will be banned for life from entering Greater China. And if they raised it in China, kick them out in the first flight available, to anywhere, and let them sort out their own shit. China must watch out for Merz to do the same silly act and be prepared to kick him out immediately and ban him for life from visiting China.

When visitors come visiting, China always treat them the best. But if they are rude and mischievous, China needs not be gracious. Rogues do not deserve any courtesy treatment. Kick them out no more visit to China. Such a policy will keep the rascals away from China for good. Period.

Disinformation campaign attacking Singapore and Lawrence Wong

 CNA reported on the disinformation campaign attacking Singapore and Lawrence Wong. The police is investigation and has reported to YouTube to remove all the offending videos but not its entirety. It was reported that the culprits were likely to be state backed operators but it's identity was not disclosed, unlike an earlier incident when it was so quick to point the fingers at China. Maybe this time it is not China, so needed to be more careful about disclosure of the attackers. Such disinformation campaign is quite sophisticated and not easy to be tracked. Often when it could be tracked, very likely it was a red herring, to intentionally allow it to be traced to the wrong source, a false flag incident. The perpetrators are normally experts in this field and kucing kurap investigators are unlikely to be good enough to do the job.

Who is likely behind this attack is still in the dark. The only way is to speculate from whatever facts that are available, their intent and purpose, and circumstantial evidence and who is likely to benefit from it. It was stated that the Chinese text used was the version used in Taiwan, not simplified Chinese. Simpletons may jump the gun to say it must be Taiwan as China was using simplified Chinese. The smarter ones would say it was to mislead, but actually to say the Chinese are so stupid to want to directly implicate Taiwan and easily got caught red handed. Both are likely to be equally wrong.

Another way is to look at the content. The videos were likely to be AI generated and purportedly used Charlie Munger as the cover and with many references to Munger's life experience and expertise in investment strategies. The texts were then translated from English to Chinese using AI or a translation app. The creator is likely to be well versed in the biography of Charlie Munger and with quite an in depth knowledge of investment and the intricacies of stock markets, and thus be able to push out fairly coherent narratives with appropriate investment jargons and stories.

These could be the giveaway clue of the creator or parties behind the videos. Who are the likely people that knew Charlie Munger so well and also about his investment philosophies, policies and strategies?

What about the intent and purpose of the disinformation campaign? In a way, they were selling the story that China was unhappy with Lawrence Wong. In another way, it was to create a rift between China and Singapore/Lawrence Wong, that Lawrence Wong had offended China or China was offended by Lawrence Wong. Who or which party will benefit if China Singapore relations or Lawrence Wong's relation with China were negatively affected? 

Another insinuation is to imply that Hsien Loong was not happy with Lawrence, or agitating Hsien Loong to remove Lawrence as PM...to whose advantage if Lawrence is removed? Someone wanting Lawrence's seat?

There are many ways to read the intention and objective of this disinformation campaign. I think, try to picture who will benefit from it is likely to provide a better lead to the source of the disinformation.

American democracy? Looks like Trump and family owns America

I think the latest Trump tariff announcement is the straw that will break the camel's back. Countries can just stop exporting or reducing their exports to the USA and what can Trump do with his tariff threat? Trump does not realize that the USA relies on the world more than what the world needs from USA.

BRICS and the Global South countries have defanged the bullying of the USA with member countries doing more trade with each other than with the USA. Trump accused them of playing games, while it is he himself that is playing stupid games and hoping to win stupid prizes.

China has already set an example by reducing its exports to the USA, and it is up to the world to wise up and follow and not be bullied by hiding heads in the sand. This latest rhetoric by Trump will never end, so long as he can use such tools to enrich himself, his family and cronies.

How could the world possibly keep making changes to its trading position with the USA when Trump is moving the goalpost all the time. No time in history has world trade been subjected to such chaos, confusion and uncertainty as during Trump's second term. It is the creation of just one man's whims and fancies and should not be allowed to hold the world hostage forever.

Nuclear treaty talk - USA can have 1000 warheads, China can have 100

The USA 'demands' that China must be a party to any arms control setup. The question is what kind of setup that is not under the control of the USA or the West? The Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty (SALT) between Russia and USA has been allowed to lapse by the USA itself on February 5th, 2026, so why is the USA now trying to play games by dragging the issue of China not being a party to the negotiations for a new treaty, when China is already a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty. The reason that China is building up its nuclear arsenal is no different from the USA doing the same in secret. The USA cannot be trusted on anything under the sun and certainly not its claim to morality under any treaty.

China's nuclear arsenal is only a fraction of what the USA or Russia now possessed. China will be writing its demise by allowing itself to be dragged into a trap where it cannot increase its deterrence. China may even be told when to and when not to use its nuclear weapons in times of conflict, lol.

China must never be dictated to by any kind of deal prefixed by the word 'demand'. Trump can do what he likes even with agreements in place and can opt out to enable him to increase his arsenal, after which he will again make demands. Why pull out of nuclear deal and then try to force the other party to the table? Just look at the nuclear deal with Iran, which he tore apart after just two years in force. Is this the kind of deal that China will want to go into?

Americans and Europeans are traditionally anti Jews, anti Semitism. Hitler pushed this anti Semitism to its limits with his holocaust. Hope that the Arabs and Muslims can get their act together is wishful thinking

Sad to say, some Muslim countries are traitors to their own kind. Jordan is hosting F35s as a safe haven for the USA and probably Israel, perhaps assuming that as a Muslim state it is safe from Muslim attacks.

With countries like Jordan on the side of the Axis of Evil, how to get the Muslims to join hands. In fact, Jordan was reported to have been helping Israel to shoot down missiles fired by Iran against Israel during the last conflict and also a base for Israeli F35's refueling and taking off to bomb Iran. Of course, there were other possibilities like using USA bases and planes to do the job.

That peace deal can best be described as fragile. Now, Saudi Arabia is engaged in a conflict with the UAE, Arabs against Arabs, over Yemen.

The USA and West divide and rule doctrine is working well in the Middle East. Therefore, to hope that the Arabs and Muslims can get their act together is wishful thinking. A false flag by the USA or Israel is enough to make them easily distracted and going against each other.

How good are Chinese humanoids?

A year ago, China's humanoid robots walked unsteadily like 'Liang Po Po'. A year later, Chinese humanoid robots were walking like Robocop with a human inside, performs kung-fu stunts better than Kung-fu panda, somersaults as well as human performers, and leaps as high and as fast as Jet Li, lol.

The anti-China bots can just keep demonizing that those are just AI generated displays and nothing to worry about. USA is morphing into a lawless terrorist state

I think the whole world now has to decide whether to decouple from the USA, as the tariff mess is making trade with the USA uncertain, unsustainable and changeable like the weather. Everything is dictated by the whims and fancies of one man, who does not understand how world trade works. His actions depends on what he dreamt of at night and which side of the bed he wakes up from.

A year of uncertainty already created chaos, and changing the tariff numbers against everybody from 10% to 15% does nothing to instill confidence in countries trying to trade with the USA. Better be trading with certainty than trying to please the USA with Trump moving the goalpost as he likes, despite the USA Supreme Court's decision against his tariffs. China moving big in agriculture and food production towards self sufficiency

Today, China produces 18% of the world's cereal grains, 29% of the world's meat, 36% of the world's seafood and 50% of the world's vegetables. These are not recent statistics, probably a year or two behind. This makes China the world's biggest agricultural economy, which is definitely creating unease and paranoia among other agricultural economies.

Sure, food imports are still necessary today for China, but having food availability at all times is a National Security issue and China is making sure it will not be exposed to new alliances that will be created to cripple China. With that in mind, China now has the luxury of choice as to who it wants to import food from countries to supplement domestic production without jeopardizing its National Security issue.

For a country that had seen hunger and starvation in the past to what it is today is good planning. 1.4 billion population have massive need for food and China is delivering it in confidence. With aquaculture, land reclamation from deserts, cattle rearing under solar power fields, China has pulled off another miracle quietly under the nose of the world. No loud noise, no gloating and no chest beating.

While the USA and the West keep demonizing about China's overcapacity in manufacturing, there is another sector overlooked by the West and that is agriculture and food security that China is going to dominate moving forward. And the success of China's agriculture and eventual exporting is going to pose huge problems for those countries leveraging on agriculture and exporting food to China and the rest of the world.

Perhaps there will come a day when the USA and the West, through the WTO will demand that China should grow less and export less to be sustainable, just like telling China to export less manufactured goods to the rest of the world. That, by the way is just the stand of the USA and the West, but what about the view of the Global South countries depending on cheap Chinese exports to them? Do they have a voice? I am sure they want China to export more, not less.

When America is dying of terminal stage cancer, no need to slap them

When a person or country is dying of terminal stage cancer, what is there a need to slap him or the country back? China will not bar Trump from visiting if he wishes, which is just diplomatic curtesy. Trump can say anything he likes before any meeting and even afterwards, but he is not called TACO for nothing. The man is just a bully, and when faced with strong leaders, he backs off. Now, he is talking about a measured strike on Iran, which we all know is just trying to save face. He knows the consequences and he has to back off, but not without doing something to save his ego. We sometimes need to read between the lines.

China does not retaliate face to face like a bull in a China shop. China retaliates in ways attached to long timelines that really makes a country wriggle on the ground in pain. Lithuania tried to poke China and is now suffering economic disaster. The Netherlands tried to pull a fast one on China by seizing Nexperia, and that move hurts the whole motor vehicle industry throughout Europe, USA and Japan. The Philippine tried to antagonize China by poking here and there, and what happened to Philippine durian exports to China today? Totally negligible and not knowing what to do with the 60,000 tons of durians left rotting. Japanese PM tried to poke China in the eye, an insult not yet settled, but things are hurting the Japanese, like the cutting off of rare earth elements and seafood imports. More to come if no apology is forthcoming.

Xi is playing a game that few people understand. If Xi says we still want to buy USA soya beans today, it does not mean he is has given in to Trump. Xi is just making sure of continuing to be able to maintain some leverage by allowing the USA farmers to continue to grow soya beans, not cut them off completely which means losing the leverage altogether.

We have yet to see how Xi will respond to Trump when they do meet in April and not just basing our judgement on what Trump is gloating today. This is a bad habit of USA politicians, thinking of having the upper hand with such crowing on a dung heap before every meeting or visit. In fact, this is the nature of the Anglo-Saxon Whites, with behaviors that borders on being barbaric and blunt, unlike Asians. Perhaps still with the colonial thinking that they are a class above Asians.

In all the negotiations in various place around the world, Trump always boasted about his pressured done deals with China, but when China puts the whole picture later in front of the world, it shattered Trump's loud boasting. The proof is not there, the agreements have not been signed, so where is the done deal.

Trump does not think the Iranians can hit back, does not think that he is sending his aircraft carriers and warships, aircraft and American boys and girls to be destroyed and killed by the Iranians. In hi simple mind, Trump thinks he holds all the cards and he is there to bash the Iranians like before. Whack, whack and whack. He does not bothered or cared about being hit by the Iranians. In his pea brain, there is no such things about his warships and aircraft being hit and destroyed, or American boys and girls coming home in body bags. These things are too complicated for Trump to understand, and thinking about them would make him go bonkers. He chooses to ignore them, not to think about them. After all he has no choice.

In the case of the Iranians, so far it is a case of a sitting duck waiting to be bombed and killed. This seems to be the thinking of the Iranians. Just wait for death and hoping to survive if lucky. And try to defend like hell to bring down some attacking missiles or aircraft, bombers. Just put up all the defensive systems, hardened all military and vital installations and pray to Allah.

What is troubling is the mindset of not hitting back at the first instance, or at least get ready to hit all the American bases, aircraft carriers and warships, and Israel. By hitting these targets first, it would reduce their ability to send more missiles and aircraft at Iran. Attack is a better defensive option. Why aren't Iranian forces be targeting and zeroing on all the targets in Israel and at the Americans, and at the first sign of an attack, push all the buttons and let them fly? Why the Iranians are afraid to flatten Tel Aviv and all the big Israeli cities when the Israelis are all out to annihilate Iran and Iranians? Firing the first shot may not be in Iran's favour. But Iran must not be waiting until the enemy's missiles and bombs landed on Iran to hit back.

At this moment in time, with the Israelis and Americans all ready for the attack, is Iran still undecided? Or leg soft, knee weak, afraid to hit back, only hit back when the damage in Iran is bad enough? This kind of military posture only encourages the enemy to go for the kill, knowing that they have the first strike advantage, the surprise element, and the choice of hitting where they like...and Iran only blocks, blocks and blocks.

It is looking like the Iranians are preparing to run into air raid bunkers and hoping for the best, hoping that after the American and Israeli attacks, they will be lucky to be still alive. All contingencies must be ready and at a moment's notice to hit back if they ever think of surviving this existential attack by the Americans and the Israelis. The Americans and Israelis are going for the kill, to wipe out as much as Iran as they can, and to kill as many Iranians as they can. This is not masak masak, or a child's play. This is life and death. There must be no hesitation, no second guessing. It must be all in from the word go. When intelligence reports said aircraft, bombers or missiles have lifted off, Iran must do the same, no need to wait to see and say hello to the bombs and missiles in Iranian airspace.

Has Trump already paid the subsidies to the farmers and others that he gloated about paying from those tariffs collected and has now probably to be clawed back. I do not think the farmers are going to pay back the subsidies, anyway, preferring to declare bankrupt. After all, the future looks uncertain for them without the Chinese market, which is gone for good. The bag will still land on taxpayer's lap, a double whammy, paying for the tariffs when they shop and now landed

And what about the lies to be walked back by prolific liar and Trump's sidekick, Howard Lutnik, about the lucrative tariffs of hundreds of billions to be collected going forward? He had been counting his chickens too early before they are hatched.

You must believe in what China can do in order to learn from China

You must believe in what China can do in order to learn from China. We have heard of the opium war, where the British forced China to open its doors to the opium trade. The British Empire was no more than an international drug cartel, nothing more. It drugged the whole Chinese population, making the people weak and the country in tatters. But China managed to overcome the drug problem all by itself.

How did the Chinese Government get rid of the opium dependence of its people is something that the West should strive to learn. The USA Government had been fighting drug abuse for decades without success. And it had to resort to targeting other countries and sinking their innocent boats and pushing the blame to others. China fought the drug addiction by itself, without the need to use force upon others to stop the opium trade. It is a lesson worth learning and appreciating.

China has also shown the world how it fought the pollution problem, clearing its highly polluted air above China, that was to invite mass demonization, in just less than a decade through diversification into adoption of clean energy like nuclear, hydropower, wind and solar. China is moving to lessen its dependence on fossil fuel, though it still has some distance to go. But the Chinese will surely overcome that with its massive investments into the energy sector. India meanwhile is fighting a losing battle against pollution in the air and on the ground. India ought to learn some things from China but is too dumb to know who its friends are and who are just taking advantage of its precarious position.

China has shown the world how it was able to reclaim useful land from deserts and convert those desert areas into agricultural land, helping to alleviate its myriad dependence on imported food. Many are not aware that China is now also the world's largest exporter of farmed seafood, with its aquaculture sector situated in areas that were previously unusable deserts.

So, what can be learnt from China is up to those who thinks China can impart what it has learnt over the few decades it was reinventing itself, quietly and diligently. Hats off to the Chinese people working together with the Government to make the impossible possible.

Trump is now preparing to attack Iran, to stop Iranian oil going to China, to starve China of the oil that it needs. Trump is doing a lot more against China, to stop China's growth, stop selling high end chips and equipment to China, instigate Holland and Lithuania against China, etc etc

And what did Xi do? Welcome to China. We will welcome Trump like the Emperor of the world to make Trump happy. Xi is as good as telling Trump, keep attacking China, we love it. The more Trump attacks China, the more friendly China will be to America, and will buy more American soya beans and produces. China not only does not mind being attacked by America, actually loves to be attacked by America. This is the message Xi is sending to Trump.

Maybe this time Trump will announce more arms sales to Taiwan, to send foot soldiers into Taiwan to show he is the one in charge to extract another visit to Beijing. Or he will demand China to buy more soya beans and also H200 chips that China now does not need, does not want.

Rebuild my foot! The European colonizers now have problems up to their eyeballs, just like the USA. Being unable to sell off its debts to other countries, the USA is resorting to own self selling to own self. About US$9 trillion (or US$10 trillion according to other sources) of USA debt is due to mature in 2026 and needs refunding, with no buyers.

How many Anglo-Saxon countries have managed to rebuild their empires throughout history? The Roman empire collapsed and died. The German empire of Hitler went out the same way, never able to rebuild. The British Empire is now left with a small island to boast about. Have they managed to rebuild? Not a scrap and Marco Rubio is calling them to rebuild. In what alternative world is he living in? And we have to look also at the French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch and Belgium empires collapsing without a trace.

Yes, China had collapsed too, eight times, but still managed to rise up from the ashes. China is the exception as a civilization empire, with its system, language and cultural heritage untarnished, that enabled it not to succumb to civil wars, dynasty changes, foreign occupation and ideological issues. Chinese may speak difference dialects in different provinces, but the Chinese writing has never been changed, even when conquered by the Mongols and Manchus. In fact, the Mongols and Manchus were to adopt the Chinese system of Government later as their dynasty flourished. That is the difference between China and the rest of the empires.

The USA is resorting to selling its debts to big banks, hedge funds, retirement pension funds and the USA public. The big banks are hiding massive unrealized losses in their books, holding on the USA treasuries that they bought earlier. The interest they earned does not cover the depreciation of the US$ just over the years. They have yet to write down their investments, which will be devastating.

The USA is now printing money like no tomorrow, all to be left circulating inside the USA and Wall Street, as more countries are not keeping huge reserves for trade anymore, as trade can now be done outside the US$ including oil sales as well. Such trade is now beyond the monitoring of the USA via SWIFT.

The use of the US$ globally has been declining, while the value of the US$ has been slipping quite substantially over the last year. Exporting the USA inflation to other countries is declining. How can that not be so, when money printing has gone out of hand and more money is left to circulate within the country. Hyperinflation is going to hit the USA like a tsunami and is making the USA great again, just like blowing up a big, beautiful balloon that looks impressive on the outside. It will burst sooner or later. Countries know that and are not exposing themselves to more USA debt by shunning away from buying USA treasuries.

Trump claims inflation is tame, while job creation is going great guns. Hard to believe the 'make beliefs' in the face of reality. The USA Bureau of labor statistics revised the jobs added in 2025 from 1.46 million to just 181,000, a downward revision of 1.279 million. A staggering difference. So, listen to Trump's composing of music and make your own conclusions.

Israel blackmailing terrorist America into a catastrophic war

Trump is now wedged between a rock and a hard place over Iran. All that threat and gloating is coming back to haunt him. If he pulls back, it will be another TACO moment to savior, which is unlikely with Israel putting pressure on him. If he attacks, which he is pressured to do, he risks pitting the USA military against the unknown defense and offensive weapons given to Iran by Russia and China. There are no such things as known knowns, unknown knowns, known unknowns and all that nonsense as in Iraq. Iran is no Iraq, by a long shot.

Even if Iran faces overwhelming forces, the result is still going to be catastrophic for Israel, which will be the main target of Iran together with USA military bases in the Middle East. USA has already moved troops out of Syria in fear.

Iran has already signaled its intent regarding the Straits of Hormuz should the USA carry out its attack, having held a military exercise and closing the Straits for several hours. This is not unrelated to tension with the USA, but a clear signal of what is to come if the USA attacks Iran. This will be catastrophic for Middle East oil producers and will send oil prices shooting to the moon. And the USA has not figured out what the Houthis are going to do when war breaks.

The resulting skyrocketing oil prices will be bad for the USA and the EU's energy needs and inflation numbers. The USA is already lacking in energy production logistics to fuel its foray into AI and data centers, now competing with domestic users for energy. Europe will be deprived of Middle East oil, while the USA would be hard pressed to deal with its own predicament not to talk about helping Europe. The signs are not good.

Japan and South Korea, both highly dependent on imported energy will face serious issues and will go down on their knees and begging for mercy. What is going to happen is anybody's guess.

China had already been stockpiling its oil years earlier, in massive underground bunkers in anticipation of the consequences, and with Russia's continued cheap energy imports, together with its heavy reliance on nuclear, hydropower, wind and solar buildup, will be affected, but not to the extent of others. China had been building up its renewable energy infrastructures like nuclear power stations, dams, wind farms and solar fields. China's migration of its national transportation mode to electric high-speed trains and vehicles will shield its transportation system from oil shocks.

Now, it appears, on the surface, that the USA is trying to wash its hands off Ukraine, trying to pivot towards Iran and China. The Europeans on the other hand are now acting as cheerleaders, by giving Zelenskyy false hopes to fight on with more support instead of looking for peace. The Europeans do not realize that they are sinking into quicksand without cheap Russian energy, which is now giving China's industrialization a helping hand instead.

We know that the Anglo-Saxon Whites work hand in glove to ensure the survival of the USA hegemony. We saw how they ganged up against China during the opium war, the support for the USA resulting in the collapse of the Soviet Union, the support for the USA in its illegal war in Iraq, the support for the USA in Venezuela's oil seizure and now again against China over Taiwan.

WTO is so caring about China's trade surplus, unsustainable, wanting China to trade less to become sustainable

What the WTO is probably saying is that China's export surge makes exports from USA and the West unsustainable, so China must be made to stop producing and let the West catch up. In other words, China needs to help the USA and the West by restraining its growth trajectory. Would the USA, let us say for example, even willing to cut its defense budget to allow China to catch up in its military upgrade?

The WTO wants China to shift its growth model from export led growth to practically just sitting down and twiddle its thumb waiting for others to take over. Only when China goes back to the stone age will the Anglo-Saxon Whites be satisfied.

Does the WTO even wants to talk about trade barriers already in full swing against China, so what other trade barriers are the WTO talking about? In fact, the USA had already set up massive trade barriers, not just against China, but the whole world, including the penguins.

Putting China's position aside, what is the reason for the USA putting up trade barriers against countries that are even suffering deficits vis a vis the USA. Fairness in argument must be applied to be seen as equitable and not just demonizing China for all the ills of the USA and the West. That they cannot compete is no fault of China and is up to them to work harder, innovate faster, do better and treat others fairly instead of just pushing the blame to others using world bodies like the WTO.

What to learn from China?

  The Chinese miracle is no longer something that can be ignored or willed away. The hillbillies can no longer condemn or laugh at Chinese products as cheap plastics, copies, and easily broken. The new awakening, Chinese products are the best, though still cheap but very good. This admission is coming from western scholars, market leaders and serious analysts, especially EVs.

China is not setting itself as an example to emulate and copy. China knows that it is not easy as the conditions in China are very different and unique compare to other countries. This does not stop developing countries from wanting to study and learn from the Chinese success story, not unreliable or fake data. From being dead poor to becoming the second largest economy, from being deep in debt to become the biggest creditor to the Americans, with the largest national reserves in several trillions, cannot be fake. No amount of lies, demonisation, fake news etc can change this painful truth from the Americans and the West. The big queue outside Zhongnanhai is the proof. And they are not just from Africa or developing countries, they the leaders of European states.

What can developing countries learn from China? The Chinese story is not a pleasant journey to enjoy like a movie. China started by eating the humble pie, exploited for its cheap labour and manufacturing costs, polluting its environment, and earning pittance while the foreign investments made the big bucks. An item that costs $5 to make, the Chinese may make a dollar for providing cheap labour and maybe another dollar for the facilities. The foreign investors stitched on their brands and sell the item for a couple of hundred dollars, laughing all the way to the banks. Some luxury brands could earn tens of thousands for a product made by Chinese labour with the workers making a few dollars each.

China did not complain and went along, welcoming all the foreign investors in a win win formula, with China earning $1 and the foreign investor earning $1000. All is fair as both sides agreed and signed on the dotted line. China knows that no one is going to invest in China if they cannot make money, cannot have a good deal. The investors did not invest in China for charity, to feed the poor Chinese peasants for free. They did not owe China a living. And China did not cheat them with fabricated charges, lawsuits and multi million dollar fines. China did not take over successful investors' companies by force.

What China did was to learn and learn and learn as much as they can, as fast as they can from the foreign investors. At the same time, China sent its best talents overseas to study from the best universities, to learn the hard sciences, to produce STEM graduates by the millions. China did not send the substandard students to learn arts or religious studies. It is hard business decisions. There was the fear of the students not returning. The famous reply from Deng Xiaoping, if they didn't return, we would send more to make sure some would return. A lot of state funds were spent to educate the new Chinese generations to shoulder the tasks and responsibilities of rebuilding a new China, not for ego and cosmetics.

There were many problems then and now, wastages, corruptions, trial and error, but with committed and dedicated leadership, and a belief in their own people, and math, many Chinese talents returned to the Motherland after their studies, to contribute to what China is today. Many stayed behind in the West, but there were more that returned... and over the years, even those that stayed behind are starting to return to the Motherland to do their share. They shared a common mission, to rebuild China. They were committed and dedicated patriots, scientists, engineers, technicians, etc etc, all willing to sacrifice personal interests, comfort, financial success, recognition and honour in the West, their youths, and their lives, to work for their Motherland.

This is China's story, not a bed or roses, not an easy and cheap path. Many worked day and night even dying on the job without complaints. Many countries are learning and trying to pick whatever that is good for them for their countries' developments. Many went to China to learn. Oops, I forgot, China in its formative years, also sent many delegations out to learn, like in Singapore. They did not learn blindly and copy everything. They picked the best and discarded whatever that were not applicable to their own culture and political systems.

There are countries that are still thinking of getting free lunches without wanting to pay the price. Some think that foreign investors owe them a living, and if not, they just cheat the foreign investors and take whatever by all kinds of shortsighted and cunning ways. The way forward is rough and tough, and in a way easier for China because of the continuity of its political system. China could plan years ahead and can expect the subsequent leaders to continue with what they set out to do in the long term. This is not easy for countries with democratic systems that changed their political leadership every few years, like changing underwear, and needing to seek new mandates, meaning having to promise short term gains and short term results.

The musical chair game of everchanging leadership is something that many countries would find it difficult to match the Chinese way of central leadership and continuity in state planning for the long term. The USA is a very good example of a failed system relying on constant short term leadership, and worse, when the political leaders have no guarantee of being in office for more than 4 years. Under such a system, they can forget about long term planning or projects that need years for fruition. They simply don't care, no need to care, cannot afford to care. Their concerns are the immediate four years in office. Actually two or three years. By the four year, nothing matters except hoping for reelection.

Singapore is an exceptional democracy that seems to beat the musical chair game and could plan long term. India surprisingly has a Modi leadership of more than 10 years and should be doing well in planning long term. But India seems more interested in short term gains, and thinking that foreign investors owe them a living. And what is invested in India belongs to India and free for the Indians to take, legally or cunningly, with no consequences.

What is there to learn from China? Plenty But how to apply them in different political systems and cultures, and the mindset of political leaders? China improvised all the way, others too can do the same, caveat, with continuity in pursuing a planned course over years, decades.

SINGAPORE: On Thursday (Feb 12), many Singaporeans were likely watching out for one Budget 2026 announcement more closely than the rest - the amount of Community Development Council (CDC) vouchers and other cash payouts they would receive. In this Budget, households will get S$500 (US$396) in CDC vouchers to help with daily expenses, with a S$200 to S$400 Cost-of-Living special payment for eligible Singaporeans.

But such broad-based support measures were introduced in extraordinary circumstances – a global pandemic and then the sharp surge in global inflation. While more help is always welcome, what does it mean to continue them when the economic backdrop appears to have improved? CNA

Singapore's economy did very well last year, average household income rises to $12,800. These good news mean big pay rises akan datang.  Then why not to give CDC vouchers in 2026? The $500 voucher announced will only be paid in Jan 2027, as good as no voucher for 2026. For those desperately waiting for the vouchers they will be very disappointed. Better for the economy not to be doing so well. What an irony?

Hard times may seem to be over for many Singaporeans. But hard times for some Singaporeans are always there as they are not beneficiaries of higher incomes or growing economy. In fact their hard times not only continue, but can be worse if the cost of living keeps going up. To the 'hard up' Singaporeans, mostly the retirees and lower income Singaporeans, they have practically no income to keep up with the good times. The rising cost of everything is eating to their little savings, if they have any. Some are already dried up, $0 savings, a scary state of being. On the other hand, the businesses will take every opportunity to raise prices, especially when the economy is good. CDC vouchers are very important and helpful to the needy, to those that no longer have the privilege to live from paycheck to paycheck, because there is no paycheck coming their way. While the better off Singaporeans are enjoying their good times, don't forget that life still goes on to many Singaporeans living at the edges.

Singapore has a huge national reserves that provide another source of revenue for the govt. It would be nice if the retirees and low income Singaporeans can also benefit from the returns of our investments generated from the national reserves. So far they did not have such good fortune unlike the millionaires. Pensioners are also feeling the squeeze with stagnate pensions based on lower incomes of their time. The lower income Singaporeans are not in a position to better themselves against higher cost of living, higher fees, taxes, GST, profit driven enterprises that would keep raising prices.

CDC vouchers are very helpful for the people that needed them, the people that are no longer in the work force, in the revenue generating economy, the people that are watching the sun rises and sunsets daily, and haplessly. The bottom feeders are often forgotten while the millionaires are coveting for the next GCB. Not giving out CDC vouchers in 2026 is a natural thing. Who cares about another few hundred bucks that may be just tips to the millionaires?

Ukraine War: We started it, we sabotaged its peace process, we wanted to end it, we did not want to end it....

Trump is pushing for a fast Ukraine deal. Is he thinking of another 'Board of Peace in Ukraine' once a deal is in hand with doggies flocking to join by paying another US$1 billion in ransom money to benefit Trump's pocket.

I thought the fastest deal in Ukraine was supposed to be about 24 hours upon Trump taking office. It is now more than a year after Trump took office, yet the war is still on and a speed deal seems to be elusive so far. All the bragging and boasting are just, well just hot air from a conman extraordinaire.

Ukraine will never be settled after Trump leaves office looking at the demands of both sides. If the Democrats takes office, they will use the same playbook as Trump, so whereabouts the possibility of settlement. When Putin wants to make a deal, NATO Europe will coerce Zelenskyy to make demands. When Zelenskyy wants to make a deal, Putin will not give up concessions he already had in hand. When Putin and Zelenskyy are able to get together to make a deal, Trump and NATO Europe will make their own demands. How is a deal possible with four parties with their own agenda to fulfil?

As long as Trump and the Europeans dip their dirty hands into the issue, the shithole gets stinker with their stirring the shit. The Ukraine war could have been stopped at the earlier stage had Boris Johnson, under the instigation of the USA, not sabotaged the deal already reached between Russia and Ukraine.

Right now, the European Union still thinks that Ukraine can win the war with their support. This is wishful thinking on the part of the Europeans, with morons like Kaja Kallas still having the mindset that Russia is collapsing if NATO continues to support Zelenskyy. The whole EU is itself collapsing under expensive energy for its industrial base, and the European Union is still trying to flog a dead horse in Ukraine.

China's economy is unsustainable. We want to help China to make it sustainable...by stopping production

Chinese factories are mostly fully automated. China just needs to keep on producing cheaper energy to run them, which together with more adoption of AI is able to produce even cheaper goods for the Global South going forward.

The West was worried about China's adoption of technology in most sectors and outcompeting against the USA and Europe. Now they are terrified and raising another fear-mongering narrative about China's trade surplus every year as unsustainable and wants China to stop producing and allow the USA and the Europeans to catch up. What are they worrying about whether China's trade surplus is sustainable or not? Are they not hoping that China should collapse now, so that they can continue to lord over everyone else?

China's energy production from nuclear, hydropower, wind and solar is being compensated by cheap oil from Russia is the reason it is able to make things so much cheaper than the USA or Europe. China's energy production is now double the USA, which is suffering energy shortages due to mass setting up of AI and data centers competing with domestic users.

Running factories 24/7 works so well in China that they even mentioned 'dark factories' in China with robots working without lights on. Accusing China of paying slave wages to produce goods cheaply is barking up the wrong tree. Even in Xinjiang, agriculture is carried out using largely machineries hooked up to satellites that enables the machines to run automatically by itself, no such thing as slave labor as imagined by the West.

With these advances, the Chinese robotic industry has made great breakthroughs in computer engineering, in AI, software and hardware designs to move nearer to applications of robots in social environment a reality.

Singapore's get rich quick scheme...Huat ah!

 Many would not believe that one can get rich quickly in Singapore by joining the get rich quick scheme. Many Singaporeans may not know about this scheme. It is real, no bluff. Anyone still guessing, or think this is unreal? Anything that is too good to be true is not real. But this Singapore get rich quick scheme is very real. And for the last few decades, millions have taken advantage of this scheme to get rich. Some became very rich. Some became millionaires.

What is this get rich scheme? Many Singaporeans have also benefited from this get rich scheme by buying HDB flats or private properties. Many Singaporeans are millionaires many times over, just by owning HDB flats, or at least on paper. No one is complaining unless you miscalculated and mess it up yourself by selling too early or speculating wrongly.

I am not referring to this get rich scheme, but another scheme that in some way is related to it. The Singapore get rich quick scheme is the New Citizenship scheme. Do your math and see how much a new citizen can get, can be richer, just simply by becoming a Singapore citizen.

The most impactful item is the right to buy a HDB flat from the govt, actually two bites of the cherry. Just buy, sell, buy another HDB flat and sell again. To Singaporeans, many would have to stay on in the second flat. But for foreigners, oops, new citizens, they can sell twice, go back home and become multi millionaires in their home country. Just like that, making a few hundred thousands by buying and selling HDB flats, without having to work for it. Isn't this neat?

Then think of all the savings in utility bills, fees, education, hospitalisation, so much money to be saved and put away. 

Not only these, every year the govt is giving handouts, CDC vouchers, top ups in Medisave and CPF accounts. The total sum could be a few thousand dollars annually, with last year about the best, some getting more than $10,000 each. And the money in the CPF and Retirement Account are getting as high as 5% interest instead of 0.5% or 1% from the banks.

And there are also savings from taxes for citizens.

All these savings and handouts are real, minus inflation. Now you know why the queue to be Singapore citizens is so long. It is like striking lottery.

Yes, all that the USA is doing is not solving its own problems, just posturing, threatening, erecting trade barriers, sanctioning countries, forming alliances to counter China and trying to make sure China does not rise to overtake it. All the wrong priorities but taken from the same old playbook that is outdated and obsolete.

I think China decoupling from the USA is a good thing as far as China is concerned, not something that China should in reality fear about. The whole Global South market is all for China to exploit. Africa alone has more than 1.4 billion population, far larger than the USA and Europe combined. Which is why there is no more threat by the USA using the decoupling mantra against China, thinking that China will shiver in its pants. Now, even the de-risking narrative holds no water. The USA depends on China more than the other way round as in the past.
