MH370 - The 10 ‘NOs’ that tell a story

This is a summary of the 10 NOs we know of the missing MH370.

1. The pilot did not make an emergency call.
2. The pilot did not switch on the emergency squawk.
3. There is no radar contact or no confirmation of radar contacts but only believed to be seen on radars.
4. There is no visual sighting of the aircraft.
5. There is no mobile phone call/message from the passengers.
6. There is no sign of wreckage or debris, no explosion.
7. There is no signal from the black boxes.
8. There is no claim of responsibility by any terrorist groups.
9. There is no demand for ransoms or negotiation.
10. There is no news of the aircraft’s where about.

The above may be NOs but they also tell us a lot of things about what happened. Every NO is saying something. Piece them together it gives a picture of what had possibly happened and even said that the passengers are likely to be still alive. But if the silence goes on for another couple of weeks, then things will look really ugly. At this point, no news is still good news and keep the fingers crossed that whoever had taken the aircraft and its passengers would be contacting the authorities soon. Maybe they had already done so.

Now the answers to all the 10 NOs, ‘WE ARE IN CONTROL.’

Someone dug out this old advertisement of MAS. It looks genuine. What a prophetic advert!

I'm a nerd asking: If MH370 continued to send hourly pings from it's SATCOM (?) to Inmarsat for 7 hrs 30 mns, wouldn't it mean that there was electrical power all the time? Would a cockpit fire disable this, or was it battery powered?

Hishammuddin kept saying "search and rescue". Doesn't rescue imply the passengers are still alive? Is it a slip of the tongue?

But some countries along the northern corridor for good reasons may not want to cooperate leh. Or worse, even hiding something, like already shot down the plane in their remote territory.

Like that how to tell, u say lah?

So best to keep quiet and act blur lah, tio bo?

And what can Matland, China or even Uncle Sam do in such cases?

If the ping came from the black boxes, they have independent power supply to transmit for 30 days. The boxes are built to withstand great stress and almost indestructible.

Search and Rescue or SAR is just a standard phrase used for such operations eg search and rescue mission or aircraft or search and rescue team.

If the plane was shot down, most likely in a most remote place in their country, where there are no inhabitants, just like the southern Indian ocean. Maybe even satellite also cannot see. Hahahahaha.

Or else ah, in this internet age, the info sure will leak out one what, tio bo?

Maybe plane shot down or crashed over the Himalayas mountain range?

Although Mount Everest is the most famous in the range but there are also other remote mountains in the range where no mountaineers ever been before?

So nobody will know lah.

Luckily the plane never flew over Sinkieland.

Or else ah, sure kena intercepted by Sinkie fighter jets one and all on board will most probably be saved.

Oops, not luckily. Should be unluckily.

Whatever the outcome, Barisan National (aka UMNO) will still be the govt with Najib as PM.

Just like whatever the outcome in Sinkieland, PAP will still be the govt with Lee Hsien Loong as PM, tio bo?

That's why it is good to be govt. Sure win one, whatever the situation and the outcome.

By the way Aljunied Town Council also increased their service and conservancy charges leh. Increased by about 10%!

And they are not even the govt yet!
