Presidential Election - 3 good men

Despite the lack lustre interest in this election for the head of state, 3 good men have stepped up to offer themselves to be the president of the island. These 3 good men are as flawless as you can get from among the rich and powerful Singaporeans. The pool of good men would be bigger if money and power were not criteria to determine what is good enough for a basically ceremonial position.

The president may received some reports to read daily, but most of the daily tasks of the president are quite mundane of sort though done at the ethereal level. It is quite different and extraordinary saying happy birthday to a king or president to that of saying happy birthday to ah pehs in the HDB estate. Same as sending obituaries to heads of state from that of heads of families in HDB. Similar tasks of different values but require about the same level of intelligence and effort other than good quality papers to go with it.

The president also has very important roles in opening the Istana to the people during public holidays and shaking hands with the people. Another important role is the President Charity Fund. Oh, has to read important messages during the opening of Parliament. But the mother of all important roles of the president is to hold the second key to the nation's reserves. Fortunately this role is rarely exercised as the nation's reserves is in the good hands of experts and professionals that money can buy from all over the world. Never mind if very few Singaporeans are good enough for these jobs in no talent Singapore. Our reserves in the hands of highly paid foreign experts are in safe hands. And to make things more comforting, losing a few billions is no cause for alarm to alarm the president. The president would not have sleepless nights because of losing a few billions. So very likely the role of the second key would not be played out, just academic. Not sure how much would be alarming. This is relative as losing $1000 is a big thing to the ah pehs. Here losing $30b would not even attract a whimper. Either it is too small to lose or no one cares.

Now you see why the 3 good men are in a way more than qualified to be the president of the state. In another way it is a waste of their talents to become the president when their expertise could be put to better use in many areas, to make more money. As president, they cannot do anything else with their spare time, if they have any, from their very heavy schedules to meet and visit dignitaries of the world and also the citizens from the HDB heartland.

Think of what Tharman could contribute with his expertise if he is not a president. Think of how bore he would be without pushing the limits of his grey matter. Think of how much money fund manager Ng Kok Song and businessman George Goh could make with their special skills. Poor guys would end up kissing babies and shaking hands with the hoi polloi as a major part of their work.

I have only one word to say, wasteful. They are men at the top of the heap in their professions but would be awfully underused as head of state. Another example of underemployment for Singaporeans. There is no need for such talented and gifted individuals to be the president. Anyone with a good heart, good character, honest, not of unsound mind, and respectable should suffice as the president of the island state.

What do you think?

Agent Orange - When would America use it in Ukraine?

Agent Orange was first used by the British Armed Forces in Malaya during the Malayan emergency. From one evil breed to another seems to be the case. It may only be a matter of time that this chemical weapon will also be used in Ukraine, if they USA and allies knows they are unable to win the war and wants to use the 'scorched earth policy' to destroy fertile lands in Eastern Ukraine from falling into Russian hands. There is no evil that they will not do.

The signs are imminent. From using depleted uranium shells to cluster bombs, you can guess what they will resort to next when desperation sets in. Do not dismiss the possibility. But will that win the war? It did not in Vietnam! Last scenario is going nuclear to end it all.

More than 4 million Vietnamese were exposed to the chemical herbicide and more than 3 million suffered from the effects. The extent of the damage was also enormous - over 3.1 million hectares, equivalent to 11,969 square miles of forest in Vietnam were destroyed and rendered unsuitable for agriculture. Singapore is only 283.5 square miles or thereabouts in area, so just imagine the size of the land destroyed in Vietnam. Save the earth my foot!

The evil American Empire getting sicker everyday

The Evil Empire and its doggies are unhappy about anything that the Chinese are doing. They thought they could still dictate like the old days to tell China what to do. Those days are gone and it would be better for them to learn to adapt.

They are unhappy about Chinese helping Africans to progress by building infrastructures for them. They are unhappy that China is spearheading the BRI projects all around the world. They are unhappy that China is not condemning the Russians over Ukraine. They are unhappy that China has overtaken them in GDP (PPP) years ago and is on the way to overtaking them in nominal GDP. Must be that China did not ask the USA for permission to do all these things.

Why did not the USA or Europeans care to look after the Africans when they colonised the whole continent for decades on end, and when China did it, they are unhappy because they realised that they failed the Africans, clear and simple. Some Europeans are sensible enough to admit their failures to help Africa progress, but it is too little too late. Now they are crying over spilt milk.

There is now arising more demonisation of Chinese solar panels being a national security issue for the USA. This was already an issue when Trump was in power. They have gone through the same playbook over 5G infrastructures and mobile phones, electrical grid transformers, quayside cranes for container loading and unloading, weather balloons, consumer goods like toasters, washing machines, lawn movers and even toilet seats. How ridiculous it has become that a superpower could now be so paranoid and afraid of petty things, claimed to be spying on everyone in the USA. They think China has nothing else better to do than spying on the USA leadership and citizens alike.

Why can't China make use of a naval base in Cambodia instead of hyping that up as posing an issue to the USA. It can only happen to a sick mind, so sick that it is afraid of its own insecurity when it is situated thousands of miles away. The fact that it needs to call upon gangsters, being their gangleader, from its own gangland, and using them as proxies to fight wars on its behalf, is becoming more and more apparent that it is losing its sick mind. The ghost of Vietnam and Afghanistan must have risen to undermine its dwindling confidence to fight a war on its own.

Blinken Insults Tonga's Intelligence, Offers Very Little Help & Obstructs Other Countries' Helping Hands

Upon arrival at Tonga's capital Nuku'alofa on Wednesday, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken wasted no time throwing mud at China.

This time, he called Beijing's engagement in the region "problematic behavior" and Chinese investment "predatory" that would hurt the local economy.

Behind the China-bashing cliche, Blinken, the first U.S. state secretary to visit Tonga, was actually asking the island nation to take sides and making the region a new arena of rivalry, but he should understand that smearing others' normal cooperation is a real problematic behavior. His accusation is not only an attack on China, but also unwise questioning of Tonga's judgment on choosing partners as a sovereign country.

At a joint press conference after his meeting with Blinken on Wednesday, Tongan Prime Minister Siaosi Sovaleni told the U.S. guest that his country had no concerns about its relationship with China.

When Tonga was faced with multiple challenges, including volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, and the COVID-19 pandemic, China often rushed to its assistance. As facts have proven, China's friendship has always been based on deeds rather than words, Tongan King Tupou VI has said.

In the broader Pacific islands, China has carried out a large number of assistance projects that meet the actual needs of the countries it tries to help. These projects have strongly promoted local economic development and improved people's livelihood. While offering help, China always fully respects the sovereignty and independence, as well as the will and the cultural traditions of the countries assisted.

Based on its own development experience, China has conducted mutually beneficial cooperation with other developing countries by upholding justice and pursuing shared interests, and provided assistance without attaching any political strings.

Such cooperation has greatly promoted economic and social development as well as people's livelihood in relevant countries. The Mombasa-Nairobi Railway financed and built by China has created nearly 50,000 jobs for Kenya. By the end of 2022, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has brought 25.4 billion U.S. dollars in direct investment to Pakistan and created 236,000 jobs. The list goes on.

If the U.S. really cares about the development of the Pacific islands, Washington should first apologize and fully compensate for the damage caused by its over 60 nuclear tests in the region, address the islands' pressing challenges of climate change with concrete actions, and focus on the real needs of local people, rather than sending senior officials to stage a runway-show-like diplomatic campaign.

And if the United States is truly committed to a better future and the well-being of the people in other parts of the world, it should stop slinging mud at China, and instead join hands with China to help countries in need.

A country that offers very little help, but tries very hard to obstruct other countries' helping hands, and even pursues its own interests at the expense of others', does not measure up to the image of a respectable major power.

Blinken - Agent of hate and spreader of lies

Visiting the Polynesian kingdom of Tonga on Wednesday, US Secretary Antony Blinken warned the South Pacific islands to be on guard in their relations with Beijing, while promising them a brighter future as friends of Washington.

“We’re a Pacific nation,” Blinken told reporters at a joint press conference in Nuku’alofa with the Tongan prime minister, Hu’akavemeiliku Siaosi Sovaleni. “We very much see the future in the Indo-Pacific region.” ...

Blinken’s visit to Tonga came just two weeks after the Solomon Islands signed nine bilateral agreements on economic, technical and policing cooperation with China. Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare dismissed US and Australian objections to the deal as “nothing but interference by foreign states into the internal affairs” of his nation.

To counter China’s growing influence, the US reopened its embassy in the Solomons in January, after a 30-year absence. There are currently two temporary staff on duty in Honiara. The new embassy in Tonga, officially opened in May, also has two temporary staff.  RT

The Americans conveniently forgot about the existence of the Pacific Islanders for 30 long years. Did not know they were there, did not care about them, withdrew all embassy support, closed down their embassies, and happily went around the world to stir troubles and fight wars.

While the Americans were away busily invading countries and massacring innocent citizens of countries calling them terrorists, and looting their countries, China was there in the Pacific Ocean, quietly helping the islanders to build their infrastructures, schools, hospitals, state buildings, roads and ports and trading with them. No trouble, no tension, no instability, no wars, because the warmongers and the world's number one terrorist state was not there.

Suddenly, because Solomon Islands are signing bilateral agreements on economic, technical and policing cooperation, the world's number one terrorist state panic. How could this happened without them knowing? So they are now rushing to the Pacific Islands to tell them they are friends and would help them and China is trouble. China has been there helping the Pacific Islanders for 30 long years without any trouble. The Americans did not know, did not care about the Pacific Islanders. Now, the first thing they do is to stir trouble, telling the Pacific Islanders that the country, China, that has been helping them, trading with them, is trouble.

The Americans think the Pacific Islanders are daft, did not know what is happening, cannot see what China had done to their countries and what the world's number one terrorist state had been doing around the world and neglecting them.

The Americans can lie so some people some of the time. But they cannot lie to all the people all the time. Trouble makers are trouble makers. Liars are liars. Agent of hate and liars would not be trusted by anyone.  The Africans and Middle Eastern Arabs can smell them from a mile. The Latin Americans have been living under their oppression and curse as if the Americans own them, like slave states. All of them are not going to have anything to do with the white savages. Their days are numbered and soon would be passe.
