The day when Singapore implodes

Who would ever think that Singapore would implode when it is now touted as one of the most successful and richest country in the world? Everywhere you turn is success in Singapore. The pay of all the elites is in the millions, multi millions just like model USA. Singapore is like a miniature copy of America in everything, following America, imitating America in practically all its policies for economic development.

When the Americans switched from a manufacturing nation to focus on the service and finance industries, Singapore followed suit. When the Americans started to sell junk bonds, introduced computer assisted trading in the stock market, derivative trading, Singapore did the same. When the Americans started to pay their CEOs in the millions, Singapore could not resist and did the same, now even chicken rice businesses also pay their CEOs in the millions. Everything the Americans did must be good and just follow blindly. When the Americans started to bring in foreign talents in droves, Singapore did the same and forgetting that the USA is a continent size country with more than 330m in population while Singapore is but a little piece of rock with barely 5m population. This did not stop Singapore from wanting to import more foreigners to make it 6.9m or 10m or 15m, as if it is of continental size like the USA, unlimited land.

America is now imploding. The facade of growth is hidden by its ability to print free money that Singapore could not. The unrestrained rise of cost of living, high property prices, high medical cost, high insurance, high legal fees, high education fees leading to students ended up in debt just in paying tuition fees, high taxi fares etc etc are now the norms in Singapore. Trump is now kicking out as many immigrants as he could for robbing the jobs of the Americans. Singapore is still sleeping and did not see that this is the same problem that would be politically very costly to Singapore. Instead of following Trump to kick out excessive foreigners, Singapore is asking for more.

Singapore is not the USA and is foolish to follow everything the Americans are doing without thinking and not looking into the mirror. The problems and crisis the Americans are facing would be repeated in Singapore. Singapore does not distill or filter out American policies that may not be beneficial to the island, and some are obviously harmful and damaging.

China learnt from Singapore. China also learnt from the Americans and the rest of the world but very discriminating in picking only those that are useful and applicable and discarded those that are harmful. China is very conscious of keeping the cost of living low for its people, keeping the salaries of political leaders and CEOs of private companies within reasonable limits, keep transportation cost low, medical fee, tuition fee, housing low to be competitive in the world market. There is a lot of wisdom in how China embraces, follows, learns and adopt American and Singapore's ways of doing things. China is moving very fast in its competition with the Americans but would not suffer the same kind of problems the Americans are facing. The experience of Americans in their exchange with the Chinese in the RedNote app is very telling.

China is keeping the pay of CEOs and political leaders very lean vis a vis the Americans. This in a way allows the Chinese to price their products and services very competitively in the world, and keeping the cost of living low and bearable to its people.

America is imploding though they keep telling the world that all is fine, their economy is rock solid. If that is so, there would be no need to make America great again. If that is so, there would be no need to lie to the American people about how good their life is and China is collapsing, the Chinese people are suffering and having a hard life, under an oppressive regime.

When would Singapore implode under the weight of high cost of living and high cost of everything, and the load of providing good jobs and everything to foreigners and new citizens, like the USA?

ByteDance 60% owned by international corporations and American corporations are major shareholders

Trump is talking about selling Tik Tok to many people - Elon Musk, Oracle and others. He does not even know if ByteDance will even want to sell Tik Tok to any USA entities and he is acting as if he alone can make the decision.

China has not said much about the ban so far, leaving ByteDance to decide whether to take Tik Tok out of the USA completely arising from the ban. Trump is basically talking to himself about the intended sale as if it is a foregone conclusion.

China already reaped all the benefits of the Tik Tok fiasco, having used Rednote to educate USA Tik Tok refugees about the real China. This is already a big bonus for China and is exposing the lies of the USA and the West, a very big counter to the Propaganda Machine of the USA.

ByteDance, a Chinese company, has to consider the stance of China regarding its sale of Tik Tok to a USA entity. China is no longer fooling around with the USA and has to guard Chinese technology closely from falling into the hands of the USA.

China is quietly advancing in AI, with Deepseek R-1 tested and proving its competitiveness against Open AI, the owners of ChatGPT and Google AI that are also involved in similar research. The cost of pushing out Deepseek R-1 was also said to be just a fraction of what it took the others to get their system functioning after years of investments. Deepseek R-1 is also reported to be open source, which means free to use by others. This is a game changer.

Trump could be the black swan event for the USA

USA needs a revolution. Trump will bring it on. Trump is going to isolate the USA from the rest of the world. Trump is making enemies everywhere and everyday turning against allies and friends. With Trump in office, the USA does not need enemies. Trump is the enemy.

In the midst of all the madness of Trump against even allies like the EU countries, the South American countries and even neighbors Canada, how does the USA hope to sell its bludgeoning debts and to whom and how does it hope to be able to print more money? The USA can continue printing, but those will become banana notes in the hands of USA citizens. Would they need a revolution to be honest?

What we are witnessing is a self-destruction of the USA. USA Presidents past and present knew that the USA has problems that they cannot solve and are just kicking the can further and further down the road for their successor. Trump could be the final scapegoat inheriting the 'can' that had been kicked down the road for decades. What now is practically unsolvable in the USA? The USA debt is unsolvable and unpayable. The homelessness situation is unsolvable, not to talk about it escalating. Now there is the cost-of-living issue being brought up by Tik Tok refugees accessing Rednote and getting the shock of their lives. Will USA citizens continue to live the lie that they had been fed with for decades?

Can public transport system deal with 10m population?

USA's economy is all about money printing and weapons sale. Red Dot's economy seems to be all about bricks and mortar, and therefore suitable for Indians. I agree that Trump's H-1B policy is some cause for salivating for Red Dot.

Having said that, our MRT trains are already becoming like in Japan, which may need employing pushers to push people into trains like sardines during peak hours if this goes on. People living in Sengkang and Hougang have been complaining about not being able to board trains during morning peak hours due to overcrowding. But i guess this is the situation all over the island.

Ten million population must be a sick joke by sick politicians. Of course, they have comfortable cars to travel in, so they do not have any problem at all. Sometimes people living in glass houses pretend to be blind, when they were supposed to be able to see everything around them. But they only see what they want to see, not what they do not want to see.

That brings me to talk about living in Hougang during the 70s, 80s and 90s, with traffic jams the norm every morning. It was traumatic going to work and getting caught in perennial traffic jams, day in and day out. Complaints were never addressed, with Politicians not believing in the situation for decades on end. It was only when a transport minister facing repeated complaints (if I remember correctly, it was Mah Bow Tan) who took the trouble to board a bus during peak hours from Upper Serangoon towards the city that he saw the situation clearly. The decision then was that they need a MRT line in the Northeast to mitigate and solve the long-standing congestion and hence the North-East MRT line was constructed and opened in 2003, on top of numerous other roads widening and viaduct construction. Of course, with development slated in Punggol, the traffic problem had to be addressed.

First they grab your money, now they grab your land. No, it is not China, it is the USA!

USA will make all the cars for their home market as they could not ever compete with Chinese EVs sold outside the USA in price and innovation. USA citizens will have all the freedom but do not have a choice even in buying a car.

China will be making all the cars for its domestic market, BRICS countries and the Global South. There is no need for China to quarrel with the USA about tariffs even if it rises to 1,000%. It is a non-issue if Chinese EVs do not have to sell in the USA. That would make everybody happy. Chinese EV makers happy, USA consumers happy, China happy, BRICS happy, Trump happy and the Global South also happy.

So, what is the problem? Uh Oh, lest I forgot, Trump is going to make many countries part of the USA - Canada, Greenland, Mexico and Panama for a start of his global ambition. Japan, South Korea, Philippines and Singapore may follow soon. Even the Gulf of Mexico is not safe from the USA imperialist ambition. Then China may have a problem selling to those countries.

When the USA starts seizing territories and countries, everyone would be asking 'Who is next', just like the seizure of Russia assets. Not all countries are as dumb as what the USA thinks, only some. Same as the saying - You can fool most people most of the time, some people all the time, but not all people all the time.
