An emotional index with President Tony Tan

Now we have a new President in Tony Tan. I have set up another poll to measure the emotional attachment to our new President in the Istana. This is just a feel good or feel lousy poll that I guarantee you will not affect the results of the Presidential Election.

And your vote is secret!

Please have a poll "Do you think Tony Tan will be like another Nathan?"

Haha notanotherspinstory.

I was thinking of a few cheeky polls like if Tony will feel as pressurised as Nathan in this new job. Or how many kilos will Tony put on at the end of this term.

Let's just have fun with this one now and think of another later : )

Nathan pressurised? By whom? Oops sorry, yeah pressurised from the inside, like a balloon.

I remember somewhere he was looking forward to a less pressured lifestyle. He must have faced a lot of pressure in during his presidency to say that.

Some say TT is looking forward to a less pressurised job, so the EP must be a very relaxing job.

Of course looking at Nathan, even raising his hands to wave is a tough job, with such heavyweight hands. Must be a very tough job for him every National Day.

No wonder he said that voting for the EP was easy. No need to raise hand leh!

In the man's own words,

"He emphasised that the president works for all Singaporeans and he will not be an "ivory tower President", just as President S.R. Nathan was not. "

In other words he's going to behave exactly like Nathan.

He wants to work with all the people,
citizen, non citizen, whatever colour and hue, those who voted for him and those who did not, opposition party and his own buddy party, in short everyone in Sin.
The Prime Minister himself said similarly and again called on Singaporeans to work together.

Now, let us see how our president and prime minister together work with opposition members of parliament. What and how they are to rein in the organizations and people in these organizations not to make mockeries of their love-all calls. Will opposition members get boo and sweet sounding sarcasm when they speak in parliament? Or are they(Leaders) once again playing
with lip services?? We shall see.

Emotional ties with the people?
I heard he is only going to look after your pockets! Maybe to make sure that everyone can still afford to pay taxes. Throughout his presidential campaign, did he ever speak on the welfare and well-beings of the people specifically like Tan Jee Say and Tan Kin Lian???

Well, me admits that i maybe wrong; technocrat got big brain but small heart, usually that is!

I wonder if this BOOO peesident will be booed whenever he turn up in public, considering that 64% don't even want him to be the peesident.
