what would i do?

What would I do if I were to give some fatherly advice. Option 1. Make an earnest apology that she had spoken wrong. Even if she is young, at 18, she must show more care and compassion for the less fortunate and less able in society. She has been counselled and hope she will be wiser and be more caring and more thoughtful in the future. Option 2. She is a 18 year old young adult. She must be responsible for what she said. If she has done or said things that are wrong, she must stand up to face the music. She should not close down her blog but to reply and explain her position and apologise for her erroneous views. She has her right to have a view which I don't agree in this case. It is good that other forumers correct her wrongful thoughts and lack of compassion and humility. Hopefully she will learn a good lesson from this episode. As a father I can support her and correct her to become a better person. She has erred like many other young persons. The important thing is to pick herself up, admit her erroneous views, apologise to Derek Wee and whoever she has offended and move on.

When I was MOE, this kinda mentality is the prevailing one. Elite and non-elite, certain stereotypes and class of teachers exist in a MOULD. Teachers must be like this like that and anything else are, in the words of Wee SM, shitbags and crackpots.

When I was in MPS, I also come across such basic reasonings.

Problems run deeper than this PM have showed us his understanding.

How can he "change" anything when he has no such officers around? Cos they would probably have been destroyed or ousted by his smart-alec system.

He has Wee SK under his GRC already shows how good he is at "seeing people".

it is all about meritocracy

If meritocracy prevails... Then Wee shouldn't be around in the first place... And her daughter shouldn't be in RJC...

Yeah... It's all meritocracy...

you are wrong elfred. my meritocracy is different from yours. they stay. they are exactly what i want.

meritocracy is meritocracy. survival of the fittest. if you have no merit, you leave. that is the brutal truth and you still can't get it?

Explain.

aiyo elfred, you need me to explain? why are you so slow nowadays? ok, just to irritate you a little. let's say my desired version of meritocracy is survival of the fittest. so if you are not fit, then you don't fit lah.

and i only appreciate talented people. no need to be caring or compassionate to the less able. these traits are not important. so where is the problem?

the problem is people like derek who can't make it. they better stay away from me and don't bother me.

elfred, i am repeating again and again. you get it?

before you miss the point, this 'i' and 'me' are just examples. not me ok?
