feedback, reach or blackhole?

Amy Khor has described that the Feedback Unit was once a Blackhole. Things only get in and nothing gets out. Ver daring. Now with the change in name and a bigger reach, would things still be the same? 'Public consultation is now part and parcel of all major policy initiatives.' Hsien Loong said. 'Through the process of consultation, discussion and engagement, we can get Singaporeans to understand issues better, build a consensus on the direction forward and a common vision of Singapore.' Active Citizenry is now encouraged even through blogs. Does this means that all blogs by citizens or just those created by Reach? I have posted the case of a couple wanting to buy a 3 rm flat instead of 4 rm in this blog. Apparently for the couple to write to the press they must have hit the wall. No one is going to review their case. The policy cannot be changed. Their problem is that their monthly income exceeded the limit for 3 rm flat marginally and they are not willing to spend too much money on a 4 rm flat. There are many people out there who are very careful and prudent with their money and would not want to be caught in the one upmanship lifestyle. There are a couple of anonymous bloggers responding to my post and instead of engaging in a discussion to explain the policy, they started by attacking me on a personal basis. To them the policy is right and anyone who complained and air disagreements are stupid and disruptive. Where did they come from and why are they setting themselves out to attack other people's views? These are the new thugs in cyberspace. Instead of reviewing at the straight jacket solution, their minds are closed. No one can disagree with govt policies. Would setting up Reach make any difference if such people were to be administrators of govt policies?

Hehehe... You think every one is so nice like Elfred talk cock with you ah? Hahaha...

Feedback...

Well, I know exactly what's on. If Elfreds fill the civil service, many things are possible... But on the other hand, since inertia remains...

"I don't wanna get into trouble..."
"I don't want trouble!!!"
"We must protect ourselves... ignore!"

Cannot blame them... this is the system. Not only do they face office political critters, the system allow no room for better men and service.

Something happens... heads will roll. No room, no wisdom and not much to say for so call failure. Of cos, whose head to roll depends on power, and the saint-nity of the leader respectively.

I guess you are very much aware of civil service as I am... so...

Argh... there are just BeggarC, talk cock with them. Who knows, they will be the Daikin-$ bringing fun?

amy khor is right. you can never see the light in a blackhole.

Amy Khor herself may not even be the light.

She is just another Singaporean. The more successful the more Singaporean.

It is just as if PM is calling for a change to the new world, to embrace the young, to... a lot of things...

That's as far "right" goes. Got it.

If Mr Ong-kinda leaders around, I would already be back in the class pushing them on the way to paper 2.

So... ...

Feedback is feedback... blackhole is blackhole... Amy Khor is Amy Khor, light is light.

MM said the govt wrong in letting home cost went wild in memoir... scully soon, prices go wild again. Hehehe...

I was a well-liked teacher for the lower pri kids. I heard the hall got excited when they saw pics with me in them.

Then I am here... Hahaha...

Life... blackhole or light, who knows?

In Singapore... very hard to know one.

Hey... your Mr Michael needs any hands outside? Maybe now can contact him...

many of the politicians are very brilliant and talented people. definitely more talented than people in cyberspace.

what we can see and think of, they can too. it is only a matter of priorities and what they want to do or think they want to do but cannot do.

amy khor is as human as anyone of us.

Then it'd be funny...

If they understand the issue as well as I am, then PAP is doing everything possible to oust itself after ousting me... Hahahaha...

I have never known any right-minded PM to know and aim towards a failure of his own regime.

Can't agree, but of course.

that is the irony of life. have you seen a prosperous man eating himself to death? or feeding himself with all the tonics and vitamins which ended up poisoning himself?

Elfred said...

Hahahahahaha...

So be it...

But if wanna kill itself, better be faster. Many people waiting for progress.

Worst case is it goes so slow till something dramatic has to come along the way to end the show.

The irony...

We have not forever for such silly irony... right?
