money can buy anything

we bought two nigerian footballers for $50k a piece and capped with a $5k salary plus perks for every match they played. and our citizenship was also given away. and itimi and agu ran away. money can buy anything, but at best mercenaries. who ever is the higher bidder will get his mercenary. it is a neat deal. no sentiments, no emotion, no attachment, no care two hoots about loyalty, decency or citizenship. how much is all that matters. we shall keep our football league as strictly a business enterprise. no tax payers money shall go to buying foreigners. no citizenship shall be given to mercenaries. let the business run as a business. if the clubs can afford to pay a million, good for them. if they can't, please leave taxpayer's money alone. and please show some respect for our citizenship and stop throwing them around to shits.

I guess it is no big deal getting Singapore citizenship these days. I know many who have left to greener pastures and there are also those Singaporean with new born sons who have chosen not to register the sons as Singaporean babies just to avoid NS.

Is it really getting to be so bad???

the electoral register is the best indication of what is real. it speaks for itself.

Every cuntry has already realised that people are not created equal, and there is no such thing as "equality", except that we are all equally free, or not.

I got my US work visa in less than a month because I'm perceived as "top" in my chosen field. Grads (like engineers) from other fields wait up to 3 years for theirs.

If a person has something to offer, he/she is likely to receive "better" deals than those who don't.

Everyone has the same 24 hours in the day - see... EQUALITY. However it is up to the individual how they spend that time - whether to achieve and a be a cause, or to not do much, remain passive and be a recipient of whatever effect is going on.

I'm all for voluntary citizenship - and if necessary the citizenship, like every other human value, must be paid for and bought.

the world is getting so small that anyone with a marketable skill can survive anywhere where his skills are needed. any good technical people has a market value and should be paid market price. political skills excluded except to be lecturer or advisers. and only one or two can qualify. the rest of politicians have no market value outside of their country or even within their own countries except to bank on connections. pegging them at market rate against professionals and technical people is a farce.

just a matter of interest, what is your field of expertise?

Project Management/Consultant.

My "expertise" is that I get things going - make things happen. If things start to happen, I get paid. If they fail, I leave town :-)

haha, i was in hr consultancy at one time. still do a little when available but not actively marketing.

yours project management is in production processes or start ups?

Start ups.

Plenty of human stress and axiety, sure got cock-ups, therefore plenty of ENTERTAINMENT! :-)

Consultancy is bullshit lah - mind games most of the time. You don't play, you don't eat. Which is why I'm be a beach bum - if I'm lucky - 3-4 months of the year.

7-11 can work 24/7 365 days of the year.

I won't!
