UN resolution not to recognise land seized by the colonialists

The USA is telling China it is not recognizing the islands in the South China Sea and is sailing its warships there to prove a point. What is so wrong about claiming islands in the South China Sea or improving the coral reefs for humankind, for civilization, for safety of navigation and search and rescue? Inhabited islands with civilizations and full facilities for shipping can only be good for the sailors. Who knows when an American warship is going to be struck by lightning or a perfect storm and needs a safe harbor, or the sailors need to be pick up from the sea?

What is so wrong with claiming no man’s islands as part of a country when the colonialists have been claiming lands occupied by the natives to be theirs? The Americans even terminated the Red Indians, the natives of North America to near extinction that there are so few left today to reclaim ownership of their lost land. What justice or justification can the colonialists depend on, what moral authority to take the natives’ land and be the new owners? The Doctrine of Discovery where the natives are not humans, sub humans, so they have no rights to their lands? Or Manifest Destiny that the USA deserves to conquer and acquire other people’s lands and do as it pleases?

China should work with the countries in the UN to put up a resolution to derecognize all the lands seized by the colonialists and return them to the natives. In addition it is about time for the world to ask for compensation for the looting of resources from colonized countries and also compensation for the humiliation and crimes against the natives and their dignities.  It may be impractical given the fact that the colonialists have multiplied in great numbers and the natives either murdered to extinction or kept at the level of ignorance or low literacy rate, weak and poor, and unable to demand for the return of their lands. But it would be a moral victory to recognize that the colonialists are unjustly, immorally and illegally occupying the lands they claimed from the natives.

The natives of North America, Canada, Australia, Falkland, New Zealand and many colonized lands, now called countries have legal rights to their land and to demand the return of their lands and compensations for being colonised. The UN must derecognise the lands the colonialists robbed from the natives and return them to the natives.

This injustice must not be swept under the carpet as if it is right, just and legal. In today’s civilized world, the unjust acts, the evil and wicked deeds of the colonialists must be reviewed, recognized and set right. The world should not continue to turn a blind eye to the wicked ways of the colonialists and allowed them to enjoy the loots of their evil ways and allowed them to strut around like morally just people and champions of human rights, righteous people!

The time has come for the community of nations not to recognize the largesse of aggression and colonization, not to recognize the land seized from the natives by force and killings. The time has come to return honour and justice to the natives that were slaughtered by the colonialists and to return their land to them. The time has come to condemn the colonialists for the crimes against humanity.

The world must not forget that the land of USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Falkland and many lands now owned by the descendants of the colonialists once belonged to the natives and should be returned to their rightful owners. The occupation of these lands must not be a fait accompli, it’s done, let’s move on.

The natives have rights too.

Wah nah beh, like that China will need to give up Xinjiang, Tibet, Inner Mongolia, parts of Yunnan, parts of Heilongjiang, and also Taiwan as the natives are not Han Chinese. Kan ni nah, how can?!? China and Chinese have already spend trillions of dollars and millions of lives in de-populating the natives and re-populating with Han Chinese in those provinces. Chee bye, too much work, money & lives spent liao, cannot just throw away, correct or not?!?! Anyway history is written by winners lah, losers just shut up & go and die.

Anon 9:39, you seow or what? Those places you mentioned were historically part of China. How to compare them with North America, Australia and all the conquered countries that were outside of Europe. Your stupidity is showing.

Don't go around looking at other people and called them papa and mama.

So early in the morning you come to RB's blog to show your stupidity to everyone ya?

Tiok, eh anon 9:39, you must recognise your papa and mama properly. Not everyone with a moustache is your father and not every woman with two boobs is your mother.

Not everything is the same you know, you simpleton.

The question is INCORRECT. These are not (technically) "no man's islands". Other cuntrees are also making territorial claims.

Unfortunately the "good old days" of colonization are gone. Back then, all you had to do as a white man was plant your cuntree's flag on someone else's homeland and claim it as your own under the auspices of your sovereign ruler. If the natives resisted, you simply slaughtered them. If they juss made a fuss, you simply bribed them. Ahhh....the good old days, the Golden Age of Manifest Destiny....nowadays no one do that shit anymore, without provoking a collective response from a coalition of other sovereign states.

Sorry lah China, you are a few hundred years too late ;-)

2 points. When China set foot on these islands in the 15th century, there was no Malaysia, Ppines or Vietnam. They only became countries after WW2. They don't even know the islands existed.

Second point. Yes they can compete with China to claim these islands. But they would have to prove they have better grounds to be owners of these islands than China. Also they must carry bigger guns than China to make their claims stick.

How many American boys and girls are willing to die to defend the fictitious freedom of navigation when it is not affected?

How many Americans would be willing to die to defend the rights of Pinoys, Malaysians and Vietnamese to claim these islands from China?

>> When China set foot on these islands in the 15th century, there was no Malaysia, Ppines or Vietnam. They only became countries after WW2. They don't even know the islands existed. <

Sure. The old maps show this clearly. However once you "get" territory, it is up to you to make sure you KEEP the territory over time.

For e.g., I use the island we know well, our beloved Hotel Singapore. Here are the past owner/ occupiers: Thai kingdom, Indonesian kingdom, Johor Kingdom, British East India Company, Japanese conquest and occupation, Syonan To, the days when the Japs were "Sook Ching-ing" (massacring local S'pore and Malaysian Chinese) themselves silly.

Now we all know Singapore is OCCUPIED by 5.5 million people, but OWNED by the PAP.

So the question is, can the PAP hold onto the ownership of Singapore? Maybe they can, maybe they cannot.

China is in a similar situation? Can China "get back" the territory it lost? Maybe can. Maybe cannot.

>> But they would have to prove they have better grounds to be owners of these islands than China <<

Clearly, they do not. All they have to do is keep on making claims. No grounds? No problem. Just get your academics to FIND REASONS, that's all. Keep on making claims, and the dispute will never end.

Case in point: dispute has been going on for ages.

Why you no talk who carries the biggest stick?

ℳatilah_$ingapura said...

@ 1146:

Ok, let's go then. Who carries the biggest stick might have an advantage. But alas, not everyone can be "King Shit-Don't-Stink" forever. Sooner or later your "Big Stick advantage" maybe challenged by a contender armed with a Big Hatchet or bio-weapons like Big Termites.

How to wallop the PAP? You have to be BIGGER and STRONGER than they could be. If you are a small time, shit-eating opposition who can't even manage a RALLY at HONG LIM without getting trounced by a bunch of retards and Christians (hard to tell one from the other sometimes)...you are no threat to the PAP lah.

Blah, blah, blah.

It is against international maritime law to reclaim underwater reefs and lay claim on the reclaimed territory especially these are nearer to other countries than China. Why is China refusing to follow internationally recognised laws to setle territorial disputes?

If we follow history of land occupation as basis of ownership, then Singapore is sitting duck to be claimed by China and many foreign countries as stressed by Matilah. This included old Singapore and when they come for us then what? Will pro-China eggheads fight for Singapore as patriots or for China as traitors? Will the eggheads declare NOW their loyalty and to who?

So finally RB has made his reason clear for support for China: "2 points. When China set foot on these islands in the 15th century, there was no Malaysia, Ppines or Vietnam. They only became countries after WW2. They don't even know the islands existed.second point. First come first served, is it?

Second point, Yes they can compete with China to claim these islands. But they would have to prove they have better grounds to be owners of these islands than China. Also they must carry bigger guns than China to make their claims stick."
So China as the mightiest country in S China Sea is the ground to claim territory. Is that it? That's why the Asian countries are looking to big bro USA for support. In this modern age, Might alone is rerason enough to be Right.

Correction: In this modern age, Might alone is NOT reason enough to be Right.

琉球王国 Ryūkyū Ōkoku; Okinawan: was an independent kingdom that ruled most of the Ryukyu Islands from the 15th to the 19th century.

Japanese invasion and subordination

in 1590, Toyotomi Hideyoshi asked the Ryukyu Kingdom to aid in his campaign to conquer Korea. If successful, Hideyoshi intended to then move against China. As the Ryukyu Kingdom was a tributary state of the Ming Dynasty, the request was refused.

Hence wacked by those japs jialat jialat in 1609 became Jap vessel state.

Today the military base in their country is strongly opposed by the Ryukyuan people (they are NOT japanese by race but media always say they speak Japanese)

wiki
Starting in the 1890s, the Japanese government began to oppress the Ryukyuan languages as part of their policy of forced assimilation in the islands. Since the beginning of World War II, most mainland Japanese have regarded the Ryukyuan languages as a dialect or group of dialects of Japanese. During World War II, in an effort to build consciousness in people as subjects of the Japanese Empire, not only the Ryukyuan group, but also Korean, Palauan, and various other languages were referred to as "dialects" of Japanese.[

very one kind they all

Your language and identity together with its culture will just disappear slowly if your nation is weak . English and French languages held sway for how long because of its empire or 江山 made possible by cannons and gunboats.

Today powerful countries build schools like Goethe-institut, British council, Confucian institute to speak their languages and learn their cultures, way of life or even religion indoctrination.

Anonymous said...

wiki -The Goethe-Institut is mainly financed by the national government of Germany, and has around 3,000 employees and an overall budget of approximately 366 million euros at its disposal, more than half of which is generated from language course tuition and examination fees. The Goethe-Institut offers scholarships, including tuition waiver, to students from foreign countries, who want to become teachers of German. One of the selection criteria for these scholarships is social or financial need.

now this is soft power without guns.

But lucky the PAP government has not started to build consciousness in Singaporeans that the CPF money belongs to the PAP government.

"The government only said all couples can have two children, but they will not share any cost of raising a child.
We will have to pay every penny of the medical fee, the huge bill of education and any expenses on raising a child.
And the supplementary facilities are very insufficient," she added.

IT company manager Gong Yanming, who expects his first child to arrive in a couple of weeks, agreed.
"The financial pressure is my main concern," he said.
"If we decide to have another baby, then my wife needs to quit her job and stay home with kids all the time.
But we will not be able to afford a life with two children in that way.
It's so expensive to raise a child in China, I would rather focus all my resources on one child."

The last idiot to try that was Sukarno's konfrontasi, not so much about "owning" or "conquering" Singapore per se, but an undeclared war against the amalgamation of (new) states---former British colonies, i.e. preventing Malaysia and Singapore (and Brunei) from "self determination".

I think everyone can relax. Although the situation may change in the future, I doubt that China has "designs" on annexing sovereign territory in SE Asia in order to have the equivalent of a 21st century Chinese Empire.

The Chinese state (and closely associated "private" business) doesn't have to wage war anyway. It has enough dough to BUY prime real estate in ANY cuntree if it wants to. For e.g. Africa

chinese people are native to those land.

china had recognized 56 ethnic group as "Chinese people"

chinese and those ethnic group actually live on same land ( minus those artificial boundaries created by separate kingdom)

while european people sailed across big ocean and reach to new continent
this is major reason for us to say that they are not native to those land.

the doctrine of might is right is applicable today

if you refuse to follow law, what happen?

police detain you , charged and throw you into jail for breaking the law.

how do court enforce their judgement?

why people obey the law?

because might is right.- law backed by state apparatus.

not because law backed by " legal reasoning"

Māori Wars, were a series of armed conflicts that took place in New Zealand from 1845 to 1872 between the New Zealand government and indigenous Māori. At the peak of hostilities in the 1860s, 18,000 British troops, supported by artillery, cavalry and local militia, battled about 4000 Māori warriors[5] in what became a gross imbalance of manpower and weaponry.
