The fictitious American War against China

The Americans are accusing China of everything under the sky. The latest is currency manipulation. Who owns the major hedge funds manipulating currencies around the world? Or perhaps the Americans are angry because they could not manipulate the Yuan as it is pegged at a fixed rate against the dollar? Unpegging it and letting it free will be fertile ground for the American hedge funds to do untold damages to the Yuan and Chinese economy. I think this is likely to be the real reason. Oh, the Chinese are causing job losses in America, and unemployment problems. Why? Did the Chinese put a gun at the American companies to shift their production lines to China? And when these companies moved to China, they are making profits for who, for the Chinese or Americans? And China is the world's number one polluters of the environment. Their factories are pumping up all the gases into the sky. By the way, who owns these factories or the products and manufacturing processes? Isn't it true that the Americans didn't want them to pollute their own environment and the convenient place is to park them in China to do the polluting? In turn the Chinese are sweating it out in the factories to make the products for pittance and only to sell them cheaply to the American families. How atrocious can the Chinese be? Working so very hard to earn a bowl of rice on the table to enable the Americans to pay cheaply for their hard work. It is sinful! And the Chinese are hoarding trillions of Treasury Bills. Did they robbed them from the Americans? Whose faults, the Chinese of course. Put up more tariffs and taxes, maybe sanctions against the China. Or go to war with China.

Why? Because China will just ignore all the propagation churned out by the US.

This is all done to put China down and hope that it will never become a world economic power. They could see the rise of China on the horizon, so they will just keep hammering on human rights, currency manipulation, pollution, anything.

It's a tactic employed by the West for centuries. They will probably resort to gunboat diplomacy if they could, like forcing the Chinese to open up to the opium trade. But, too bad, China is not the China of old.

And the US is not the US of old either. It is a bankrupt country. The Chinese are beginning to lessen their involvement in financing US debts. That's not good for the US.

Both American and Chinese general public are victims of capitalists from both countries. Who are enjoying the profit and getting rich when Americans are losing jobs and Chinese are sweating it out in the factories to earn a bowl of rice on the table? Just the American capitalists?

The SARS and the poison milk powder cases tell the world Chinese does not need foreign capitalists to tell them how to enslave their own people and poison their home and their own people.

It is less "ficticious" than you claim it to be.

America is playing the baiting game -- trying to upset China into doing something stupid.

I hope the West is also really clean in coming forward with tainted food products or genetically engineered food. The fear is that they may have been able to cover up the cons while highlighting the pros.

Never trust their national bodies like FDA, because when it really matters, it is all about 'money talks'. I think we should have learned not to, especially after the recent financial crisis. What the Federal Reserve and the big banks in the US telling us before the crisis?

The American People, i believe, are people like You and me. They too, know the cowboy culture of the past will lead them nowhere. As Mr Bean put it, 'fictitious' or i would prefer to use, psychological war for wealth and influence, they will be fought only by the American Leaders of the past and maybe one or two generations more. In time to come, the American People will not go along with their vain leaders.

Americans will soon or maybe even now, see the wisdoms of peace and love will get them happiness. Dare i say that most Americans have realized that they are being looked at with suspicions and worse, hatreds in many parts of the World. Will they want to be treated with antagonism wherever they ? Me don't think so.

USA is a well known cultural melting pot and its' people are pioneers (for)in globalization. Sure, the Present US Leaders are still pretty hawk-liked, however, their people will wake them up.

The Chinese has no record of aggression in so far as history has shown. And i do not expect them to violate their record.

There is an article by Peh Shing Huei in the ST today recalling how the Japan economic miracle went into a tailspin when they allowed the yen to appreciate. And Japan still could not recover from that debacle.

There is nothing wrong with the Yuan. It is simple law of economics where production will go to the cheapest cost country.

If the Chinese workers are willing to eat a bowl of rice gruel with two pieces of bean curd while the American workers demand steaks for three meals and driving around in 5000cc limousine, whose fault is it?

Someone said earlier, it is merely the capitalists of BOTH countries enslaving the majority of their population.

Poor Chinese slave away for a pittance.

Americans rot away living off of unemployment, until the banks take their houses and leave them on the street.

I have walked through massive, rotting abandoned factories. I have seen once prosperous neighborhoods blighted by abandoned houses and infected with drug users who live on the street. America is more like the Soviet Union that many people would like to admit.

Hi murfster, welcome to the blog.

Yes the USA is rotting. It used to be decadence China. Now it is decadence America. Even the Americans are talking about a break up with the badly managed and bankrupt states taking care of themselves while the better ones minding their own business.
