India is stuck between a rock and a hard place. The USA does not want Indian rupees for its exports to India, while India wants USA products to be paid in rupees, same as wanting Russian weapons and oil to be paid in rupees, which Russia cannot agree. How to do trade like that?
Modi is rather quiet now with all the trouble he is going through. The Hindu Mother of all Festival, the Kumbh Mala, is becoming a deadly celebration. Trump's deportation of Indians from the USA is creating problems for India. The Indian economy is unravelling, with GDP growth slowing. Now India and China are head-to-head in GDP growth, but on a different base. But Palki Sharma is not talking about all these problems. Her problem was and is all about reporting bad things happening in China, not India. Imagine an Indian news site not covering news about India, but mostly about what is happening in and with China. She has still to protect her master's reputation.

A bromance is blooming between Trump and Modi, or so we think. Trump is all about 'USA first' and he still wants to Make America Great Again, doing everything in that direction, even pushing long standing allies under the bus. Modi is looking at MIGA or Make India Great Again. They complement each other, each is going to make the other great again, or so they think.
Europe was the die-hard ally of the USA through thick and thin, even willing to commit economic suicide to help the USA. What did Europe get in return? Now the USA is not even sounding out the Europeans while conducting peace talks between Trump and Putin regarding Ukraine. The Europeans are mad and calling 'any quick fix is a dirty deal'. Imagine giving so much aid over the last two years and being described as 'irrelevant' by the NATO dictator.
Having said that, peace talks regarding Ukraine are sometime mind boggling. When Zelenskyy talks about holding peace talks, Russia is excluded. What kind of peace talks are they holding? Now Zelenskyy, being kept away from the peace talk between Trump and Putin, is throwing tantrums about being excluded. Of course, any peace talk without Zelenskyy is as mind boggling as any peace talks set up by Zelenskyy without Putin's participation. It works both ways.
Trump is clearly telling the Europeans it is the USA inside NATO that calls the shots in Europe and the Europeans are just proxies fighting on behalf of the USA in Ukraine. Fancy, after giving so much support to the USA in Ukraine and being told they are irrelevant must be a hard pill to swallow.
Now the Europeans leaders are calling an emergency summit of their own, knowing that they are being thrown under the bus. Too little too late. Now the EU is no longer in a position to strike a bargain with the USA, being economically destroyed and highly dependent of USA energy.
Dotard Trump said Allies or No Allies they gonna imposed reciprocal Tarrifs and taxes on any countries that imposes Tarrifs and taxes on the UAss.
Wow he also said India is the most protectionist country that many silly countries that does businesses with them are disadvantaged.
Modi tried to moodle coddle and sucked up to Dotard but Trump don't want his arse.

Trump was in fact already calling India the 'tariff king' and any reciprocal tariffs means India is going to get the wrong end of the stick as all others, friend or foe.
India will be worse off from Trump's tariffs than China, with Trump knowing that any substantial tariffs on China is going to hurt the USA more than China. It is reported that 80% of USA consumer needs are all imported from China and there is no way that Trump can punish China without hurting the USA consumers. There is no such thing as unlimited threshold of pain that USA consumers can tolerate.

Let us talk about India and whether it is leaving BRICS. Now, let us be more circumspect. Does BRICS need India or India needs BRICS? Who needs who to benefit from the threat? What has India got to offer in BRICS so far, other than trying to sabotage the agenda of de-dollarization. India is in fact against de-dollarization, and it does even support the idea of a BRICS currency, professing to want to internationalize the rupee.
What I believe is that India is more realistically trying to sabotage the idea of a BRICS currency, preferring to support the US$ instead. India needs the US$ for trade as the rupees is shunned by everyone. In BRICS, the rupee is not even a widely accepted currency for trade at all outside the US$. This does raise the suspicion that India is either a real Trojan Horse planted, or should I say bought by the USA to break up BRICS.
When India does leave BRICS, we can be sure there will be much propaganda being fabricated to promote the idea that BRICS is breaking up. BRICS will not die because of India. In fact, BRICS will not die even with Trump gloating about further attempts to de-dollarize will kill BRICS under his hand.
In honesty, the USA could not even kill off a Chinese company like Huawei, even with the help of all its allies, cronies and doggies like India. The USA could not even kill off the Russians, after all the gloating about making the Ruble turn to rubbles and Russia collapsing. Even with all the threats and posturing about Russia having no friends, many countries are trading with Russia and benefitting from cheaper Russian energy and making a fortune out of it.
