Trump's assassination attempt - A few pertinent questions

 Many people would be wondering what happened, how did it happened, what really happened, who was behind this assassination? Was it a lone wolf incident or something more complicated. I have seen some of the videos presented over YouTube and have a few puzzling questions to ask.

1. The assassin was reported to have been seen crawling on a roof and the police and security officers were alerted several minutes before the shooting. Apparently no action was taken, the security officers around Trump were not alerted and no action was taken to stop him or remove him from the podium. Why?

2. The assassin now identified as Thomas Crooks, a 20 year old man. He was killed by snipers stationed at the rally to protect Trump. Could a 20 year old be as good as a sniper in firing an AR15, or similar rifle to hit Trump from more than a 100m away?

3. If he had fired 8 or 9 shots at Trump, with a thick crowd behind him, how come so few people were hit when he was that accurate? Only 1 dead and 2 wounded? The toll for 8 or 9 shots should be much higher.

4. How long would it take to fire 8 or 9 shots before being shot by the govt sniper? Looked like he was firing away happily for a while.

5. What about the wound on Trump's ear? I watched the video in slow motion. The first time Trump moved his hand to touch his ear after the shooting, and brought down his hand, his hand was clean, no blood on it. Subsequent footage shown a lot of blood on his ear after he was on the ground with the security officers for a few minutes and stood up again. If there was so much blood, why his hand was clean when he touched/covered his ear the first time?

6. Trump's ear was a fresh wound with a lot of blood. It was strange that when he stood up, and while being whisked away by the security officers, no blood was flowing except what was already painted on his ear. Should not there be blood continuing to stream down from his wounded ear?

7. Trump did not seem to be in pain. Neither did he bothered to cover his ear or anyone trying to stop more blood oozing out from his ear. Also, the blood on his face seemed to have dried up and stayed in position within such a short time, like Trump trying to show to the world the red paint, oops, blood drawn on his face...both streaks leading to his upper and lower lips.

8. Trump's ear seemed to be quite intact. Neither was the side of his head been grazed by the bullet. And, hitting any part of Trump's body would be quite serious. Hitting a teeny weeny bit of his ear was the safest place not to hurt Trump. ..and easy to paint on it.

Above are just some of the things I found quite puzzling.

PS. Just to add a few more points. 

1, The blood painted on the whole rim of Trump's ear with equal consistency was as fake as it could get. 

2. The Secret Service officers were not playing by the book to protect Trump by covering him and keep him out of sight. They allowed Trump to show his full face for most of the time, to showcase his face bloodied face. This is extremely dangerous in a real situation. They somehow strategically moved their heads away to give the cameras a perfect view of Trump's face. All the pics were as perfectly taken as possible to give the full impact on the screen. With more video clips showing the layout of the area, my point 2 in PS was not correct and I have removed it. The shooter was on a roof on the side of the stage where Trump was. So he was shooting from Trump's right to left.
