Denmark and the Netherlands can send Ukraine F-16 fighters as soon as the pilot training is complete, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a letter seen by Reuters on Thursday....The US is not sending any jets itself, President Joe Biden’s top adviser Jake Sullivan was adamant in early July, telling reporters they will “likely” come from “European countries that have excess F-16 supplies.”...
When Biden first brought up the F-16s in May, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that sending them to Ukraine would be “an unacceptable escalation” and warned the West against “playing with fire.”
Speaking in June, Russian President Vladimir Putin predicted that F-16s “will burn” just like the Western tanks supplied to Kiev, and said that Russia will find ways to strike at sites outside Ukraine if the jets end up being based there. RT
The Americans started this war thinking they could win easily and quickly. As the war drags on, all their crap propaganda of Zelensky and his Neo Nazis winning against Russia started to falter and looking embarrassing. Then words would no longer mean anything, lies would not and could not win a war. The realities on the ground hurt and very demoralising. Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian men and foreign mercenaries, including Americans, Brits, Canadians and Australians, are dying everyday.
The Americans must act and this means more weapons, bigger and more destructive weapons, and more fire power and range. The restraints and pretenses of not expanding this war into Russian no longer holds. At every major cross road of defeat and dismay, more weapons are needed. At the start, the fear of escalating and losing control of this limited war turning into an all out war with Russia, even a nuclear war, was a major consideration. But with every defeat, every failure, more casualties, the heart grows more desperate and bolder. From drones, long range artillery pieces, tanks, then cluster bombs, now F16s are also thrown in to try to win this unwinnable war. A little chicken thinking it can defeat the mammoth, the Russians. They could not even come to their senses that Russia is exercising great restraints in not wanting to flatten Ukraine and Kiev.
The attacks against the Russians have led to drone strikes inside Russia that was taboo, and the bombing of the Crimean Bridge and attacking Russian ships. They have gave all caution to the win and escalating the war and losing control of war is next on the card. And Russia is responding with bigger and more devastating strikes deep into Ukraine, into cities an Kiev. When the F16s arrived, the war would go another notch higher. When would the war go nuclear? It is heading that way as the desperate Americans find it impossible to turn the table. What's next? There will be no more Ukrainians left to fight the war once it turns nuclear.

After F16s, what else? Will F16s be another 'game changer' weapon again being delivered to win the war? Nato and the USA are basically escalating the war into a direct involvement, when those F16s takes off from any Nato country, which Russia will definitely respond.
As with the other game changing weapons sent by Nato and the USA, they were mostly unsuitable to be used in Ukraine, either in the hands of untrained soldiers recruited on the rough, or the equally rough terrain that had been created by the Russian air strikes. Airports and runways are not going to be suitable for the F16s, either to take off or land.
The Challenger tanks sent by Britain were reported to be told by the Brits to stay hidden away in bunkers, for fear of being targeted by the Russians. Now, why sent tanks to be closeted inside bunkers for fear of being destroyed? To be used as museum pieces after the war is over?
The Leopard tanks sent by Germany and other Nato countries were said to be cutting-edge pieces modified for Ukraine, but were reported that they could not be supplied with the right calibre ammumition that fits their modifictions. Different countries made modifications using different calibre ammunitions and this caused a problem on the front with regard to ammunitions supplied. They turned out to be just sitting ducks.
And talking about training, how long is it going to take to train a F16 pilot with adequate skill to fly the plane in combat? A week? A month? No, it is going to take longer than that. The suspicion is that it will not be Ukrainians flying those planes if delivered. Nato pilots will be doing that and the training part is just pure propaganda to fool the Russians. Only problem is the Russians are not that easy to fool.
All said, the USA and Nato are now scrapping the bottom of their weapons stockpile, still flogging a dead horse. All that talk about Ukraine retaking 'pockets' of Russian controlled areas are nothing more than mere propaganda, to rally the Ukrainian troops with something to brag about, and stir their imagination that the war is turning in their favour. Even the Western media are relatively quiet about the Ukraine counteroffensive, with the realisation that the war is unwinnable.
