Gao Zhikai debunks the Thucydides Trap

 For the war perpetrators and savages that believe in wars and killings, Graham Allison's book on the Clash of Civilisation was a welcoming gift to justify their thirst for war with China and whoever standing in the way of the evil American Empire. According to this Harvard scholar, the war between China, a rising power, and the sitting hegemon, the USA, is inevitable. This becomes a justification for a war with China, a must have event in the near future.

Gao Zhikai, a long time translator of Deng Xiaoping, a renowned professor in his own right, got his PhD from Yale, is telling Graham Allison that his narrative for a war between China and the USA is unlikely to come true. There will be no direct war between China and the USA, maybe some proxy wars with eager Mickey Mouse dying to die for the Americans.

Allison based his study on historical precedents which were true up to a point. The Roman Empire, British Empire, American Empire, were all empires rising from conquests and wars. The Pax or peace during the reins of these empires were false peace, especially during Pax Americana. Pax Britannica and Pax Romana came about after the two powers subdued and destroyed their enemies and imposed a peace on the losers, their victims, ruling over them. It was an enforced peace under the power of the gun. Pax Americana was never an era of peace. It was filled with unending wars throughout and still with wars in Ukraine, Iran, the Middle East, Latin America and Africa. It should be called an era of unending wars under the evil American Empire. Only the American allies and cronies enjoyed some peace at their home countries, but often dragged into wars by the Americans.

The rise of China is not by war and invasion. It is economics and peaceful. China's rise till today has yet to fire a bullet in the last 40 years. China has not been at war with any country in the name of conquest or any silly fabricated lies invented by the American terrorists. China is not going to challenge the Americans in a hot war to dethrone the American Empire and to become the next hegemon. China is all about progress and economic growth and development and trade. Period. China has not called out any country as a threat or as an enemy. These are the war slogans of the American terrorists, using them to start wars, to invade countries.

The other factor that Gao cited as the main reason against a direct military confrontation between China and the USA is nuclear weapons. War has never been more destructive today than in the past when killings and winning a war is a time for celebration and claiming to be brave and heroism. A nuclear war is total destruction on both sides. no winners. No sensible leader or country would want to go into a nuclear war and think they can survive the outcome. Caveat, the American terrorists are trying to lie and convince themselves that they win a nuclear war. These savages are now planning to nuke Iran, to kill them all. But the sensible American leaders, not the brainless hillbillies, rednecks and clowns in Washington, will be there to stop such a war when there will be no winner and no survivors.

With the risk of nuclear annihilation, a war between China and the USA is unlikely. Caveat, cannot rule it out totally when reckless and irresponsible clowns are in charge in Washington and Tel Aviv. War is no longer a game, hunting season, when the opponent has enough nuclear weapons to do enough damage to the provocateurs. This is the element that is missing in Allison's narrative. Would Allison still think a nuclear war between China and the USA possible?

Gao Zhikai also talked about a Pax Sinica emerging. Pax Sinica will bring about an era of true peace or a world that is more peaceful, with lesser wars than Pax Americana, a fake peace but really a world engulfed in unending wars. China is not going to invade any country, not going to war with any country. China is building partnership and peace through trade and economic development, not about alliances, gangsterism and subjugation of countries, be with us or against us. Pax Sinica is about inclusivity, win win relationship, not about zero sum game under the American Empire. China has a version of the new world, all countries trading and living together without pursuing war. It is difficult to achieve with the American and Europeans savages wanting to control and dominate the world, with their imperialist and colonial thinking of a world ruled by the white men, under a white hegemon. The white men cannot envisage or visualise a world without a hegemon, but multipolar world where nations can co exist peacefully and pursuing economic growth and prosperity by trading with each other, free trade without excluding and isolating any country or region.

Pax Sinica is something very new and beyond the comprehension and imagination of the white savages that thrived on domination, wars and conquest, the powerful ruling the weak, might is right. The world will have time to experience a new world, a new formula for mutual peaceful coexistence in a new era of peace and prosperity, not war and destruction, domination and oppression.
