Sketchy reports with TikTok clips showing American terrorists bombing Caracas are spreading. Trump also claimed that Maduro and wife have been captured and flown out of Venezuela like Duterte.
If confirmed, this undeclared war is like the Japanese sneak attack on Hawaii conducted by the American terrorists. The Venezuelans were caught sleeping literally after the New Year celebration. The bombs came down at 2am local time on second day of 2026. With the advantage of surprise and the unpreparedness of the Venezuelans, like the Trojan Horse night celebration, there was no resistance or defensive fire against the attacking American aircraft, including helicopters.
Trump won the first round and can claim a big victory, if Maduro is also captured by the Americans.
Is this going to be a major escalation leading to WW3? Would the Venezuelans fight? Would Russia and friends fight? The stakes are very high for the Russians and China with billions of investment in Venezuela risking being seized by the Americans. What would happen to the personnel and defence systems of Russia, China and Iran if the Americans take over Venezuela?
The American terrorists are threatening Russia, China, Iran and friends in many places. If the Russians, Chinese and Iranians cannot fight the Americans in Venezuela because of logistics and distance, they can hit back in regions more favourable to them eg Russia could intensify attacks in Ukraine, China could expedite the reunification of Taiwan now, Iran could blockade the Strait of Hormuz... while the Americans are busy in Venezuela. They cannot be booted out of Venezuela and forfeit all their investments and assets to the Americans. The American terrorists are forcing them to react and respond in kind in regions favourable to them, and this could lead to tensions in other theatres, even wars. They could hit back by other means, like stopping all trades with the Americans.
Venezuela cannot fall. There will be Venezuelans that would want to defend their sovereignty and independence to fight the invaders. They cannot do nothing and have to fight now. Other Latin American states would want to join the Venezuelans. The scenario of a combined foreign forces fighting with the Venezuelans could be in the making after this first attack by the Americans. It could be another long protracted war like Vietnam in the backyard of America... unless the Venezuelans choose to raise the white flag and surrender to the Americans.

Maduro had been betrayed, just like Duterte, as it appeared that the Venezuelan military had not been engaged or appeared to have stood down. Some people at the top had been bought for sure, as happened in Pakistan. Obviously, money talks.
This was also the case with the attempt to take down the President of Burkina Faso, Ibrahim Traore, by bribing a close aide. It did not succeed when the aide chose loyalty over the huge bribe.
In Maduro's case, this is outright kidnapping, nothing more and is illegal. The reason given was odd, as Maduro was said to have been accused of being involved in the crime of drug trafficking. Even then, it does not warrant carrying out a kidnapping of a leader of a sovereign state. And the other odd issue was the wife of Maduro who was also arrested. What crime did she commit? Everything is so hazy.
Now what would our 'Principled' one say. Isn't the USA doing exactly what it accused Russia of doing in Ukraine? If what the USA does to Venezuela is above board, Russia cannot be accused of attacking Ukraine 'for no reason'.
USA's attack on Venezuela realistically gives Russia the high ground in Ukraine. Now does Russia have any qualms about kidnapping Zelenskyy? How about China kidnapping the Taiwan leader? Interesting.
Will Singapore impose sanctions on the US just like it impose sanctions on Russia? Will there be double standards or our very principled ones uphold their principles?
Agreed. The Venezuelan military have been compromised and behind the American attack on the people of Venezuela. They allowed the American terrorists to bomb Venezuela without fighting back, and allowed the American terrorists to capture their President and his wife, like Duterte in the Philippines.
