Canada PM, Mark Carney, is already backpedaling when threatened by Trump's 100% tariff. He has to come out with comments to pacify Trump about not leading Canada and China into a free trade relation, just only in energy and canola oil in exchange for lowering tariffs on 49,000 Chinese EVs.I do not expect Trump to be content with the explanation, and more is to come out of the woodwork. This is not just a neighborly spat. It is a precursor to tightening Trump's mindset to make Canada the 51st state of the USA with its rich resources. Now Trump has a new mantra to bring up regarding China and Canada relations by gloating about China's influence on Canada, which is again a National Security threat to the USA. We have seen that in Trump's move over Venezuela and also Greenland. China must be demonized whatever the circumstances arising, whether China's involvement is real or imaginary, and when the slightest opportunity is available to the USA.
Now China's relations with Iran by supporting the Iranians with weapons is being hyped up for a confrontation on the cards. The USA's war mongers will not let this pass without capitalizing on it. China's relations with Afghanistan are also queuing for confrontation on the backburner when the time is ripe.
Now, let us talk about South Korea, being under pressure over tariffs of 25% just because it did not proceed fast enough with its trade deal negotiations with the USA, which I understand is trying to force South Korea to invest more in USA and pay those hundreds of billions in investments 'upfront', whatever happens. This is blackmailing of the highest order.
