US President Donald Trump said the oil would be sold at market price and the proceeds would be controlled by him.
The agreement is a strong sign that the Venezuelan government is responding to Trump's demand that they open up to US oil companies or risk more military intervention.

Is this real? Is Trump jumping the gun, telling the world what he wished for before an agreement? Or is Trump hallucinating again? It is all about what Trump wants. What is Delcy Rodriguez saying? Would the Venezuelans just accept the demands of Trump after the invasion and the capturing of their President?
If this true, Trump has just succeeded in his first move to take over the two Americas under Imperial America. The Venezuelans have no say, all the American countries, North and South, have no say. China and Russia also will have no say. Impotent UN will also have no say.

The Nobel Prize Committee can now offer Trump the Nobel Peace Prize since Machado said she did not deserve it and wanted to return the prize. Trump has achieve great things, everything he wants, the Nobel Prize, the Venezuelan oil, and all the countries in North and South America belonging to the USA, under his Moron Doctrine.
The USA will now have 90 states! And maybe more coming since taking over countries is so easy. Some of his warhawks are suggesting to Trump to capture Putin and Xi as well, with the so clever Delta Force and Special Forces as state terrorists in uniforms.

Japan's collapse during WW2 was due to overstretching its military capability to exert control over regions it over-ran. So much so that the Japanese had to resort to genocide to prevent uprisings under those that still survived. The British faced the same situation in later years, this time due to financial constraints and have to give up all the territories and military bases it used to control.
Trump is now trying to police the whole world thinking he has all his military bases all over. How realistic is the USA's financial capability and capacity trying to do that? The USA's debts of US$38 trillion would undoubtedly balloon to unimaginable proportions trying to undertake the policing that will need more manpower and logistics. Just printing more money cannot be sustained and who is going to buy those debts? Right now, the interest payments on the debts alone have reached more than US$1 trillion a year, more than the USA's defense budget.
Two things will collapse if the money printing goes out of hand. The inflation resulting from that will turn the US$ into banana notes. No one in his right mind would buy anymore bonds, knowing the US$ is sliding down a slippery slope, losing value by the day. What is the point of investing in a 4% return when the US$ is turning into just toilet paper. Trump is assuming that controlling global oil priced in US$ will prevent the US$ collapsing whatever happens. Will it work?
Trump is doing what a fading empire should not be doing. Previous empires knew that, and the Brits knew that fighting a decline is an exercise in futility. The USA should now be winding down its foreign bases to save all the unnecessary expenses to save itself. Where are all the hype-up threats coming from other than from Trump's own psychotic mind. But Trump is trying to expand his empire, the wrong agenda and at the wrong time. A less indebted USA expanding its footprint would make sense but doing it under a highly unsustainable debt burden for the USA today is unthinkable.
In a couple of years' time, Trump will be gone for good. History will judge him harshly, while he will face judgement from God in the afterlife for all the evil he committed. What will happen to the USA after Trump is left to be seen. Anyway, man proposes, God disposes. There is no escape from that.
