The USA's AI and Data Centers are already facing big issues with energy supply that the USA had neglected for decades. This is another case of putting the cart before the horse. It has been reported that the USA is even bringing back older power plants that were mothballed due to inefficiencies, on-line to provide the needed energy demands. That is how serious the desperation is.
China, on the other hand had already provided 'over-capacity' in its energy infrastructure, with the building of more dams, nuclear power stations, renewables like wind and solar. The USA was laughing and making fun of the latter two energy infrastructure development. Trump claimed that wind-turbines were killing birds, while demonizing Chinese solar panels for National Security reasons. Who is laughing now? As the saying goes 'Who laughs last laughs best'.
Who is going to win the AI war? Of course, having the ability to print as much money as needed will win, right? Let us wait and see.

Not to worry. Everything can be built. Rare earth processing, energy generation logistics like nuclear power stations and dams, Rolls Royce chips can all be built and best of all, free printing of money, will make sure the USA will be at the forefront forever. It is only a question of time and hope that China and others stand still and do not move further ahead.
China is blessed with forward thinking leaders in securing energy sufficiency, rare earth control, but disadvantaged by lacking the money printing expertise. But that is also not an issue for China to worry about going forward. The Chinese yuan is now in focus with trade within BRICS providing the demand. Countries are now also borrowing more in Yuan, no more always the USA which is very expensive versus the Yuan.
That is another reason why the US$ is no longer in demand, which is why it is losing value day by day. The USA thought it can just keep printing the problem away, with the rest of the world continuing to be blinded by propaganda. It is deemed as simple as that by some experts proclaiming that the US$ will not ever lose its global reserve currency status.
This proclamation holds true on the proviso that the rest of the world keeps buying and keeping the US$ as their reserves, which is undoubtedly not going according to plan.
Of course, we cannot argue with all the experts like Gordon Chang, Howard Lutnick and Scott Bessent. Their credentials will bury our thinking with the MSM giving all the support they need. Not based on past achievements though but based on their status being used for silencing the lambs.
