The USA and the West can just keep pretending that the Chinese are only fit to be chefs and laundrymen. ASML is so arrogant saying that even if given the lithography machine blueprints, the Chinese would not be able to produce a lithograph machine. Well, let us wait and see. Jensen Huang revealed that 50% of the world's best brains in AI are dominated by the Chinese. Figure that out.
China does not make moves by cutting its nose to spite its face. China thinks long term, preparing its ground before retaliating, not putting the cart before the horse. The West better take good note of this. Each five-year plan is all about what to leverage on to counter those trying to bring China down. China has built up its internal infrastructure and logistics to stand on firm ground and is now expanding its influence into Africa and Latin America. China is giving the Global South the ways and means to progress and grow rich.
Africans and Latin Americans have seen with their own eyes, how China managed to overcome its shortcomings in just three to four decades. China's success is nothing short of miniscule, lifting 800 million Chinese out of poverty. That is a population twice the size of the USA, a country that is still mired in decay, homelessness and escalating poverty.
The Africans and Latin Americans saw China's progress for themselves, and they aspire to have the same. Who does not want to follow a successful model rather than a failing model. Who does not want peaceful development rather than war and destruction.

Understand from Eli the Computer Guy that Nvidia is inserting a tracking device in its GPUs, presumably those sold to China. Now, that is as bad as having a 'kill switch' inside its GPU.
Has anyone read about Porsche cars sold in Russia being immobilized due to satellite connectivity problems? Now, even cars have some device installed that are basically 'kill switches'. This may not be a national security issue, but it shows what countries with bad thoughts can do to others.
We have already seen mobile pagers made to explode in Iran, and now some mobile phone owners are complaining about being unable to remove an embedded Israeli spyware installed inside a Samsung Galaxy smartphone. Imagine a spyware inside a phone, which can trigger maybe an explosion when situations call for it.
China already refused the H20 GPUs from Nvidia for the same exact reason earlier, which Nvidia vehemently denied. What is happening?
Something like buying F35s which are paid for but still belongs to the USA. Realistically speaking, with respect to operating conditions, maintenance and cannot be used against certain countries.
The tracking device will enable the USA to know where Chinese AI data centers are located and to be targeted in times of war.
Buying those H200 chips amounts to helping the USA once again during its economic difficulty. China is not going to do that. China may just allow a token gesture, not a total measure, as it is committed to making its domestic chip manufacturer like Huawei close the gap. The USA may just be luring China to loosen its commitment to be self-reliant.
