Let us watch the show unfolding, with USA Rolls Royce chip giants pouring hundreds of billions into building up aggressively its AI infrastructure and data centers, trying to stifle China. Wonder how white elephants come into being? Chinese AI developers took the 'on the cheap' route of just putting in a couple of millions to stand shoulder to shoulder with USA top AI giants. That was really an example of more bang for the buck.
The USA can forget about using the AI investment trap of luring China into competition to collapse China's technology infrastructure, thinking that what works against the Soviet Union in the military spending spree is going to work against China.

The USA's AI and Data Centers are already facing big issues with energy supply that the USA had neglected for decades. This is another case of putting the cart before the horse. It has been reported that the USA is even bringing back older power plants that were mothballed due to inefficiencies, on-line to provide the needed energy demands. That is how serious the desperation is.
China, on the other hand had already provided 'over-capacity' in its energy infrastructure, with the building of more dams, nuclear power stations, renewables like wind and solar. The USA was laughing and making fun of the latter two energy infrastructure development. Trump claimed that wind-turbines were killing birds, while demonizing Chinese solar panels for National Security reasons. Who is laughing now? As the saying goes 'Who laughs last laughs best'.
Who is going to win the AI war? Of course, having the ability to print as much money as needed will win, right? Let us wait and see.
For most people, what is happening is not important and ignorance is bliss.
Sinkies have to worry about their electrical bill soon, as their leader is jumping into the American lead AI bandwagon.
Not to worry. We are going nuclear. We already have a 'nuclear bomb' among the legal fraternity.
