US Says South Tibet Belongs to India after Modi's US Visit, Recognises UK-Drawn McMahon Line
A
US Senate committee has on Jul 14 passed a resolution recognising
Arunachal Pradesh, whose northern border with Chinese ruled Tibet is
demarcated by the McMahon Line of 1914, as an integral part of India.
Zangnan,
or South Tibet, is the name the Chinese government refers to the state
of Arunachal Pradesh, which is located in India’s northeast. China lays
claim to around 90,000 square kilometers of the land of Zangnan (the
southern part of China’s Tibet) as part of the Tibet Autonomous Region
(TAR) of China.
The resolution, passed by the Senate Foreign
Relations Committee, reaffirming Republic of India’s territorial
integrity, followed less than a month after the state visit of Indian
Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the United States.
The resolution
was introduced by Senators Jeff Merkley, Bill Hagerty, Tim Kaine and
Chris Van Hollen on Jul 13 and now heads for a full Senate vote, noted
the PTI news agency Jul 14.
The resolution reaffirms that the
United States recognises the McMahon Line as the international boundary
between the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the Indian state of
Arunachal Pradesh. It pushes back against Chinese claims that large
portions of Arunachal Pradesh are PRC territory.
As regards the
resolution’s potential implications, Senator Jeff Merkley has said,
“Committee passage of this resolution affirms that the United States
views the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh as part of the Republic of
India – not the People’s Republic of China – and commits the US to
deepen support and assistance to the region, alongside like-minded
international partners.”
Chinese President Xi Jinping had said
China cannot give up “even one inch” of territory that the country’s
ancestors left behind.

PS. The McMahon Lines are drawn by the Brits when they were the Empire. This is their law, their rule of law. They make the laws. Now the Americans passed a law to recognise Arunachal Pradesh as a part of India under the Brits McMahon Lines. Both are not international laws but private laws of the Brits and the Americans. The Americans would now claim that under this law, their domestic law, they are legally bound to defend India on this conflict, just like their grandfather law called the Taiwan Relations Act.
All these passed without the consent of affected countries, ie China. Taiwan and Arunachal Pradesh are Chinese lands. Any fools still gloating about white men's rule of law, or white men's rule based order but not International Laws sanctioned by the UN? The Americans did not respect International Laws by the UN and have violated them in numerous occasions. The latest, sending cluster bombs banned by the UN to Ukraine.

China & Russia (then Soviet Union) had even longer border dispute.
But they managed to settle it amicably due to both sides having the will to compromise. In the end, China gave away more but that set the stage for warming ties & the fruit of it can be seen today.
The problem with the Indians is their big ego gets in the way, no compromise only the Indian way or no way. Multiple rounds of negotiations with no resolution. When the next round came, the Indians proposed what the Chinese proposed previously but with added conditions only favorable to India, literally no win-win but win-lose. And they wont budge this round, refusing to even listen to anything. That is not negotiations, but demand. That is how India negotiate. Big ego indeed.
The saying "Empty Vessels made the most noise" is very apt for the Indians.

The idea was for the Anglo Saxon White clique to rule over the coloured people forever. Every system was designed to ensure that - militarily, economically, dictatorially, forcibly as against Iraq and Libya when threatened by them with changes to the status quo.
Even world bodies are formed to lend support to their agenda and be under their control. Not only that, they want to interfere in every country's internal affairs that they have no business to stick their dirty fingers into.
They created time bombs for exploitation when required, like Israel in the Middle of a Muslim neighbourhood, left Kashmir on tenterhooks to be disputed by China, India and Pakistan. They left the Korean Peninsula in a perpetual war footing, so they can use that as a threat to South Korea in order for them to station troops in the South.
Now they are creating hot spots in Asia. Aside from Taiwan, Papua New Guinea is a proxy being cultivated to be a thorn in the side of Indonesia. Philippines is the perennial weak link in ASEAN unity against external forces. That external force or threat is not China and ASEAN members know that well enough.
